I have been coming here for about 5 years for windshield repairs and the service is always quick and friendly. Speedy installed a windshield in our truck a few years ago. Recently, it began to leak, as in water pouring out the sun glass holder at the top of the cab. We took it to a professional leak detector, who discovered that the windshield was loose. He was able to push it in and out. He showed us where the adhesive had failed and explained why (which had to do with misapplication of adhesives used by Speedy). When I went to Speedy, explained what had happened and asked for a refund, what I heard was "we don't have that invoice in our system anymore" (never mind that my copy was right in front of them); the manager says he doesn't have authority to give a refund and that I could email information to corporate (essentially, not my problem); "you should have brought it to us as soon as you knew there was a leak," even though I didn't know that the leak was related to their faulty windshield installation (once again, making it my fault, not their problem). "If the installation was faulty, it would have been leaking right away" (not true and, again, denial of responsibility). I should have brought it to them to repair as soon as I knew it was leaking so they could make the repair (unrealistic expectation - how would I know that the leak was related to the windshield? So whenever there's a leak, I should just automatically take it to Speedy to find the source instead of to a professional who does leak detection for a living?) The manager was more interested in finding reasons to avoid responsibility than in providing good customer service. They didn't do a good job in the first place, and then expected me to trust them? They pushed back on everything and essentially refused to take responsibility for faulty workmanship, and made it my fault for not following the letter of their warranty rules, which are designed to ensure that they will never be held accountable for shoddy workmanship. The manager did not think that being able to move the windshield in and out when pushed constitutes a failure. They would neither acknowledge nor show concern that their faulty installation caused a SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE - driving down the highway with a loose windshield. Airbags are designed to hit the windshield and curl back to protect you. An airbag deployed with a loose windshield would have been no protection at all. I could have been hurt. Others could have been hurt. And still, they will not stand by their work. Their "lifetime" warranty is meaningless; a faulty installation is a faulty installation and they are looking for any excuse to refuse to make it right. I never agreed to be put in harms' way. Oh, and then there was the employee who pulled the plug on the computer/phone system, disconnecting me from talking to the manager. IRRESPONSIBLE. DISHONORABLE. UNPROFESSIONAL. STAY AWAY. In response to the requirement that I should have brought my vehicle to you to inspect the leak, I repeat - I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE LEAK WAS DUE TO THE WINDSHIELD BEING IMPROPERLY INSTALLED WHEN i HIRED A PROFESSIONAL LEAK DETECTOR. Your website does not mention leak detection, so why would I have brought it to you under these circumstances? Your requirements are onerous and unreasonable. It was obviously a faulty installment or the "lifetime windshield" would not have come loose. You have a copy of the leak detector's invoice with his findings. He is a professional and is not lying. Would you like me to bring you the windshield and glue so you can see where it failed? I'd be happy to do that. The fact is, someone in your shop botched the installation. Whether or not I asked you or someone else to identify the source of the leak, whether or not you will take responsibility, the fact remains that someone in your shop botched the installation. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. I went to speedy glass TWICE for a windshield replacement as suggested by my insurance and neither time did they start working on my car within the first 2 hours of my appointment. No one thought to call me and tell me they were "short staffed" or "missing parts" to replace my glass while I sat at a coffee shop waiting around. I spent 4 hours in total waiting for my glass to get fixed and it never even got started. Will never go there again. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. 2 complaints. The first and most simple one is that the rear glass kit they provided is off brand and looks entirely different than what I originally had installed by manufacturer. The window is smaller now. No vehicle logo on the window they provided, which is a disappointment because that means they don't buy brand name glass kits. This could all be forgivable if it wasn't for the second complaint. The entire window is crooked. You can see on the photos that the left side of the window is sitting a quarter inch lower. You can see that there's a gap from the frame, whereas on the right side of the window it's tight against the vehicle frame. There's exposed black silicone visible on the bottom right too. If you go to Speedy glass, do not be surprised if you get an off brand window installed crooked. I'm willing to change my review after the manager reaches out to me about this repair. If they make a poor effort at reaching out to me to repair the problem, I'll keep this review with photos up. read more

Speedy's not just in the name, it's what we experienced and we are very thankful for it. My son's windshield got hit with a baseball and it needed to be replaced stat. I sent speedy a quote request via the Yelp app on Sunday afternoon. I didn't hear anything back that day and wasn't surprised since they were closed! First thing Monday morning I called and ended up talking with Dusty. She was amazing. There were no available appointments for the installation of a new windshield until the following week. I'm not entirely sure how or why (maybe it was the urgency in my voice or the realization that I'd have to take my business somewhere else because the car would quickly become undrivable without a new windshield) but she worked her magic and got us in for an emergency replacement mobile response for later that same day. The technician called me to let me know he was on the way. At the time he called I was in and out of cell phone range service and asked if he could call my son directly since we were not together. He did just that. He showed up and bonded and connected with my son over the fact they went to the same high school. The technician shared a story and memory from when he went to the high school and a goat had jumped on some cars and broke several windshields. Shortly after I had spoken with Dusty I received an email back from Speedy in response to my quote request via the app. This response came from a different employee. The whole experience from start to finish in my opinion went smoothly. Regardless if they can fit you in as quickly as they did us, I would recommend Speedy Glass. Thank you! read more

The receptionist was so condescending about how there's no way to have a windshield replaced in a day and "Speedy" has a turn around time in a week. Would of appreciated a more professional or sympathetic response, rather than an arrogant attitude. This place is the WORST. I've never had a rock chip repair look so bad in my life. The work done was very sloppy and rushed and got worse and cracked again over the next few weeks. I took it back in and the was told there was nothing they could do. I'm sure they say that a lot to customers who are less than satisfied. Maybe if they spent an extra 10-15 minutes on it, I wouldn't have these issues. They aren't interested in making the repair look good at all. They even said it themselves. There is no pride in their work. They just want to fill it as fast as possible and move on. I guess that's why it's called Speedy Glass. Because they rush through their work. I expected it to be hazy, but what I got was haziness with white discoloration, like a fog. Also have residue stuck to the outside of the windshield and new cracks forming within the repair. I could've done a better job myself but took it here instead...big mistake! Also the technician and manager have crap attitudes. If you have any issues or are dissatisfied with the work, good luck getting anywhere! You're stuck and out of luck! Bam. Another attempt to shop local backfired. My insurance gave the option of going with their recommended shop but I chose the one in my neighborhood. Two rock chips needing repaired. I walked in, the employee didn't even greet me and acted like I caught her by surprise. They were having an internet issue, no problem, it happens. I gave my information and sat there, after awhile I needed to prompt her for the next steps. I came back in the time frame I was given and came up to the counter. FIVE employees crammed into the little office and not single one could be bothered to turn their head to acknowledge me. I guess the work was done, was is obviously repaired and I was told the other one sealed. I hope not to need this again but if I do I'll go with Safe Lite. read more

Called for a cracked glass fix. I described the crack and I asked that it just get replaced. They said they had my windshield available. I was VERY clear about my vehicle. The rep said they had it and could get it done ASAP. When the tech arrived onsite a few days later, he knew IMMEDIATELY that the windshield they had wouldn't fit, nor could they source one. They did fill the chip and guaranteed that the crack wouldn't spread, so at least I wouldn't have any future worries of it spreading. I requested a quote through their website and received immediate, informative and polite help via email within the hour. I had a chip on my windshield from a rock on 405 during one of the October windstorms and wanted it repaired enough to prevent spreading, which they said they were able to do for $60 or through auto insurance, which is the route we took. My insurance company recommended Safelite Glass which didn't have openings for two weeks, but Speedy Autoglass got me in the same week and had the chip repaired in 30 minutes. Communication was helpful and straightforward, they did what they said they were going to do and it took them as long as they said it would. Plus, they're conveniently located in Old Bothell! I had the windshield replaced on my truck, and within the first couple days of replacement I started having bad moisture issues in my car. I did some research and found the factory service manual, and the last step in the install is using an adhesive to seal it to make sure it's water tight. I noticed they didn't use anything to seal it, and when I called they got me in quick and seemed like they were going to make it right. Instead they still didn't install the adhesive and came to the conclusion that there is a rust spot under my dash letting moisture in. They were up able to show me the rust spot, and couldn't even tell me what side of the car it was. Shady business would not recommend to anyone, unless you want to scrape frost off the inside and outside of your windshield like I have to now. read more

PLEASE READ THIS! After much frustration with another glass company that, coincidently, also starts with an 'S', my insurance company referred me to Speedy Auto Glass in Bothell. What a pleasant experience! Friendly office staff, installers with years of experience, what a pleasure to work with them! My vehicle falls under the 'classic' category; the 'other' glass company I attempted to use had inexperienced installers who openly questioned whether or not they had the experience to complete the installation where Jason, the Speedy glass installer, was excited to do the repair. Jason took the time to show me (after carefully removing the old chrome around the broken windshield) what shape the body around my vehicle's windshield was in. Rust can impair the seal on a new installation, fortunately, my classic vehicle was in decent enough shape to have the window installed with no issues. In total, installation took an hour as I enjoyed a burger at The Ranch Drive Inn next door. If your insurance company says you can pick an installer for your windshield repair, you will not be disappointed with Jason at Bothell's Speedy Auto Glass! read more

Shop repaired two rock chips and told me everything was fine. However, there was a new 8"+ crack through the repair - we now need a new windshield. I was surprised they had parked the car with the windshield facing the sun during a heat wave after doing the repair work. Hopefully they will discontinue that practice. read more
