After having a large rock shatter the windshield on my '12 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec, I needed a replacement fast. Bobby got back with a quote within an hour and arrived at my location near Duvall the next morning. The replacement took about a 1/2 hour, which was less than he estimated. I was concerned that the replacement would effect the lane departure warning system and/or the automatic wipers, but they are working perfectly. Awful service! I asked Protech Auto Glass to come and fix my windshield. It was a rock chip. They told me we can fix it. After 5 min, they came back to me and said : we are sorry, the windshield is broken and it happens after trying to fix that it is very usual. It happens on 90% windshield. I got angry. They tried a method which is failed on 90% trying. Then they explained the windshield is so hot and shouldn't work on that. Are you serious???? When you knew that and explain it to me why you worked on that! I asked them who is going to pay for it? It 600$ windshield 200 to 300 labor and material is will be going to 1000$ .They said "ask your insurance to pay that! "I pissed off! Even they didn't take care of their mistake ! It is a rip-off. I asked them if i want you to replace that how much cost is it? They estimated but they didn't skip or give discount on labors and installing cost for a new windshield because of their mistake.They pushed me to use my insurance. They don't think that If i wanted to use my deductible, why i called you to fix that! Is it the customer service? Before that, i was able to fix that by 85$ now i should pay 500$ and deal with insurance. Also my car has line detector system and i have to pay from my pocket to re-collaborate that (Around 100$) and they didn't accept it. Any way, they aren't professional and added more cost on me and i have to pay for a new windshield because of their mistake. DO NOT TRUST THEM! If you want to fix your windshield don't let them to do this. Because at the end you have to pay 1000$ Because of their mistake. read more

I got a small ding in my windshield the day before Thanksgiving. I called Protech Autoglass and was told they could come out on the Friday after the holiday. I was good with that. But I was very happy when they called me later in the day (almost 4:00 pm) to tell me that they had a last minute cancellation and could meet me in 40 minutes if that worked with my schedule. Absolutely! When they arrived they explained that they could repair the windshield, but it was borderline of having the be replaced due to the size of the crack. I was told that if I chose to have them repair it, but if for any reason I was not completely satisfied with how it looked or if the crack spread, they would be happy to replace the windshield at a discounted price. The only time I write a review is when I've had a very bad experience or a very good one. The five stars I gave Protech was definitely earned. I'm restoring my childhood car and needed someone to replace the windshield. Someone reputable and knowledgeable. Finding mechanics who care about the customer and their car seems to be as rare as a unicorn these days. I'm obsessive compulsive about my car. If you over tighten a fastener on my car by so much as 0.5 in-lbs, or don't follow the proper torque sequence, I will know. I expect service to be performed to the highest standard. Unfortunately, in my experience, most mechanics miss the mark, leaving me with a very expensive bill, and at best, mediocre workmanship and service. Pleasantly, this was not my experience with Protech. They're efficient, professional and very friendly, even when confronted with a warranty claim. When it comes to warranty work, in my experience, most mechanics will grumble and tell you to live with it, unless it's a critical safety or drivability issue. The first windshield they installed didn't fit quite right. It wasn't a workmanship problem (I watched them from start to finish) but a defect in the glass that didn't become evident until after it was installed. I told them about it and they installed another windshield without issue. Despite their busy schedule and having to fight the bs Seattle traffic, they arrived early to my home for each appointment. They were friendly each time and didn't mind that I watched and asked questions. Pricing was reasonable, and it's quite evident they stand behind their work and that customer satisfaction is a priority. If you want the job done right, choose these guys. Take it from someone who can feel auto repair mistakes in his soul. read more
