Prior to this LP (Local Pro) coming to our home, it was made clear the service we expected and wanted. A new dryer coil was to installed, as it was made clear there had been condensation issues with the old coil and with a new dryer coming we wanted the new coil. LP lifted the coil glanced inside and said it was fine. I said we wanted the new coil again was told it was fine. There was no diagnostic check done by LP after installation. Later that day when we went to use the dryer it gave off 90% blockage error. I reached out to LP and informed them of the issue. LP reply was as follows: Because it was a vent issue and not an installation issue. And proceeded to inform me of the cost to have him come back out. I mentioned to LP if the new coil was installed as we wanted this would of been avoided. Since we where already financially invested in this service we decided to have them come out again. Today I went down to do laundry I could feel a lot of heat coming from the dryer and blowing from the back. Come to find the coil was not connected properly to the dryer and was dangling. I reached out to LP and Informed them of the issue along with a video showing it was not connected. Yes LP offered to come out at no fee to correct. However at this point, I decided no more.

I had a water leak at the shut off valve to my dishwasher drain hose. Water was leaking underneath…read moremy sink and I had to go to the basement to turn the whole-house water valve closed. But that meant I didnt have access to water anymore. I couldn't make the repair myself because it was pex piping on the other side of the valve, and i didn't have the skill or tools to do it. So, I called Jaytech Plumbing and asked if they could send someone quickly. Within about 25 minutes, Tom showed up at my house from Jaytech and he was super friendly and understanding. He gave me a very affordable quote on the spot, which I agreed to and he got to work right away and fixed my issue quickly. Valve replaced, water operating perfectly again and everything was good. From the time I called Jaytech to the time my issue was fixed, it was about 1 hour. Absolutely Outstanding Performance by Jaytech. I was so happy, it lifted my spirit for the reset of the day. I really recommend these guys at Jaytech. Plumbers are the service providers that you need to have saved to your phone so when an emergency happens, you already know who to call to get it fixed super fast.

On Monday (Jan 31) we noticed that our HVAC system was leaking, flooding our basement. We called…read morethis company who had previously installed the HVAC system. The old owner used this company prior to us buying the house in 2020. The technician who came to repair the HVAC said the issue was that the condensation pump was broken and placed a new pump. After installing the new pump he found that the condensation drain led outside the house and into the garden. The cause of the issue was that the condensation drain, which should have never been installed leading outside, had frozen, backed up the pump and caused the pump to break. He said our only option was to get a new line installed but we'd have to pay to have a new line installed, despite the fact that this company had ran the previous line, that had broken the previous pump, flooding our basement. He left our 'fixed' pump with the condenser going into a bucket. We paid $500 for this service. The next day (Tuesday 1st) we called to speak to the manager and spoke to Rhonda who said she didn't think having a new line installed was a unreasonable ask, but she needs to confirm with the owner and would call us back in half an hour. It's now Friday (Feb 4th) both me and my husband have called back multiple times to ask whats going on and have been told multiple times that the owner and manager are both too busy, the receptionist would leave a message for them to call us back. I asked if I could book a meeting or some time with either of them and was told that wouldn't be possible but she would again leave them a message to call us back. We're absolutely appalled by the customer service of this company. This company originally ran the line outside that cause the flooding in our basement that we've now had to make an insurance claim over. We can't use the $300 pump that they installed because if we did the exact same thing would happen. Asking for the company to rerun a line, is not an unreasonable ask considering the damage that has been done to the basement and the results we've been left with from the service. We have absolutely no idea why anyone would run a line that carries water, outside, in Canada where, it will freeze... If you're looking for a company to conduct good workmanship, good communication and customer service, please look somewhere else.
