It was my very first time ever going to the crystal shop & as soon as me and my friend walked in the associate immediately left whoever he was helping to come up to us and asked if we needed help even though we barley stepped in. We couldn't even stay in there longer than a minute because every step we took the associate was literally right behind us watching our every move. The whole tiny 1-3 minute experience in that store was horrible. Their employees were super friendly and offered help, but didn't crowd us as we browsed. Each display has a small sign showing the name of the crystal and what it does for you, along with price. I was driving, feeling broken, lost and traumatized when I saw Spellbound Sky's magical unicorn from the window. Stopped in and walked right to a beautiful, shimmering golden citrine display. And not heat-treated amethyst--real, chunky citrine points. And wouldn't you know, sunny, uplifting citrine was exactly what I needed? My citrine in hand, I had a nice chat with the lovely girl behind the register (I didn't get her name, but she's often there and always sweet and friendly). They offer an array of stones in varying sizes/shapes and price points with information cards next to them (also included if you purchase) to make your decision on what to buy. When I visited on a Sunday afternoon, there were a few other customers shopping while Lana Del Rey played from the speakers. There was a sweet shop dog milling about and the workers were expertly advising customers on the qualities of the stones. I picked up a lovely $5 rose quartz, $15 titanium quartz (sparkly!), and a $15 money drawing oil made by Gypsy Goddess- they offer spiritual oils, candles, cards, jewelry, and books as well as crystals. I loved the book on spirit animals- i.e. what it means if a coyote crosses your path, Doreen Virtue's goddess cards, the perfume oils intended for everything from finding love to having vivid dreams. Prices are pretty moderate, the larger crystals are of course more expensive, but they offer smaller pieces at reasonable rates ($3-5). When I purchased my items, they gave me descriptions of each of the stones (in addition to the cards to take home for reference) and a few tips on how to use each of them- the rose quartz is a great stone to place in the bedroom for example- and packaged them in black boxes. For starters, I've been here twice already to pick up crystals and I'm definitely gonna continue coming back. The energy from the shop and the folks working here is very positive. When they talk to you they aren't pushy at all but seem like they're always ready to help. I think my favorite thing is the whole transaction process. Because after picking up your new crystals, you get to sit down and have a talk with the person completing the transaction, about your crystals and its' uses. You get further educated on what they do and even how to use them. (for those who may be new to it like me...but if you're already very knowledgeable, then you get to have a great conversation with them either way!) I really love that part because I feel like they go the extra step to make sure you go home with confidence in how to use your new crystals. As for parking, that's the only tricky part since it's street parking, but it doesn't take too long to find. Now I pick up gifts from here for friends and family. Not only is this a beautiful shop with gorgeous crystals, minerals and gems, but it has beautiful and kind people who work and run the store. You feel their positive energy the second you walk in. My 12 year old daughter has a love and fascination for gems and crystals. She has been collecting and doing her research on them for over a year. Today Lauren spent about an hour answering her questions and talking to her about different stones from the ones that are raw, to the ones that have been polished and the process on how they become smooth. She also shared her knowledge on the energy that different stones bring and what they are known for. My daughter purchased 3 different crystals/minerals and is looking forward to returning soon. Randomly found this shop on a Sunday afternoon. The staff/ owners were super knowledgeable. I went in to great a few crystals and stones so build up what i have. When i was ready to check out the owner was checking me out and was going over every crystal with me. What they're for, and what charka its aligned with. I came here on a whim on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. You walk in and it looks very posh and chic but the vibes were surprisingly warm and friendly. We had no idea what we were looking for but were immediately greeted by Martin the owner. A staff member took the time to explain each table to us. Each table was organized by color. When we went to pay for our purchases, (without us asking) Martin sat us down and explained each stone we had chosen... their purposes and even some anecdotes. I had such a great experience at Spellbound Sky. I'm new to crystals and all this so I didn't know what to expect. I tried to research as much as I could before going, but even when you "research" nothing beats someone who just knows what they're talking about and is passionate about it. This is the experience I got here! While shopping I loaded up my tray with stones that were suggested by my online research, but the owner came over and gave his honest feedback about my selection. He said that unless you're building up your collection, you should really try to find stones that align with your immediate goals. It made me rethink my purpose for wanting to purchase crystals and reminded me of the immediate things I wanted to work on. My tray was a bit lighter after I was done, and I really appreciated the feedback and the reminder of what this healing is all about! He could have easily just let me buy the whole store (I wasn't going to, but if you've ever been here you know you read a description and you're like "Oooo, I need that!" Haha!), but he didn't! I thought that was so thoughtful and just shows how committed the staff is to the practice of it all and not just pushing the purchase. The best, the best, the best! I've been a collector of crystals and a student of crystal energy for more than thirty years and have searched far and wide for the best crystal store. This is it. Martin, one of the owners, is a pure gem!!! From the time you enter they will greet you with a genuine smile, offer to help, and you'll be amazed at the quality of their crystals and jewelry all at really reasonable prices. I came in for a selenite wand and walked out with three other crystals and two crystal bracelets for my wife - they are all gorgeous, powerful, and amazing. Martin greeted us and I told him what I was looking for and he immediately discussed his recommendations. Aside from product, he suggested what we can do to manifest what we were looking for - he's so positive, friendly, and we both felt cleansed and on our way to greatness just from Martin's wonderful wisdom. Here's the thing - Spellbound Sky is even more amazing because they will suggest selling to you ONLY what you need. So, for example during our chat with Martin we were looking for crystals for manifesting, and he suggested malachite, pyrite, or citrine as possible choices. He said, if you only want to purchase one thing, go with the pyrite - a perfect choice for our particular situation. No upselling, no "you must buy this crystal and that", or "you must buy this book or that." Instead they will direct you to exactly what you need and will not push you to buy anything else. You can buy more of course, in fact you will want to buy more because of how wonderful their crystals are - you'll know that whatever you buy from here will be infused not only with the energy of the crystal, but also the positive energy of the people at this wonderful store. This store might appeal to people who are regulars because they are called by their first name and given hugs. But prices are on the high side and the wait in line took forever, I was ready to dart out of there. Boxing everything like it's some precious stones ups the cost, I think, and explanations are not really necessary since the stones come with a paper listing their properties. I wanted to buy some blue lace agate but the ones they had were just plain, with no "lace". They did not have peridot either. On the plus side they have a nice display, and as I said earlier, if you live in the area you might love the attention if you come regularly, although I felt some of it was "forced", a little superficial. Prices are higher than other places on most stones. I'm sure it has to do with the location, but prices can still be a deterrent. Perhaps it also has to do with everything being nicely boxed. That can appeal greatly to some customers but if it saves me money to not have things boxed, I would prefer that business model. Smudge bundles are decently priced. Single purpose spell candles are decently priced. However, when they take someone in line who was after you, it's hard to want to make your purchase so I left. I can understand wanting to explain the purchases to people, but when you are understaffed and the line is 3 people deep, spending more than 10 minutes with each customer is discourteous to those who want to buy something. This is my biggest problem, and explains the low rating. read more
