Travel Nurse from Oklahoma...I recently had a problem with my right breast implant…read more.. This would be the only 5 star review a hospital has received from me... i'm very critical of healthcare facilities for a reason... this place killed it...every person I seen was on top of getting me in and out quickly and safely... From the secretary that checked me in to the ER nurse phlebotomy x-ray and of course my doctor that referred me to a fantastic plastic surgeon in Spirit Lake Iowa... Y'all did an awesome job ...and I thank you for the fast and kind service you extended to me... If I had to go to the hospital again I'll pick your location over any I've visited to date...someone always drops the ball...no one did it was nice to see healthcare functioning like it did pre-Covid

THEY RECEIVE ZERO STARS. I went to my primary care doctor on a Thursday afternoon in pain, 7 out of…read more10, and expressing major concern of having something very wrong. I expressed my concern to my primary care doctor, who I won't mention their name to keep from embarrassing them, about my pain as well as the area I was having my pain in. He barley Examined me and told me that he didn't see anything wrong, said that I was fine, and sent me home still in major pain. Big mistake on his part. I went through the rest of the weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday still in a lot of pain and even more concerned that my condition got worse. I wake up Monday morning the most pain I have been in and when I went to get out of bed I woke up in a pool of bloody and puss like discharge all around me. This discharge was coming from my stomach area. I grab a town, put on clothes, and drive myself the the emergency room. They do scans To find a major issue and I was transported to another hospital for emergency surgery. The reason for my review is to warn people about the terrible care of their in house clinic doctors or primary care physicians. The person I seen practically pushed me out and said I was fine when I expressed extreme concern and was in a lot of pain. They did not listen or care about my condition and 3 days later I had to be rushed to another hospital for emergency surgery on the issue that I seen the primary care doctor for. Just be careful because their in house physicians will judge you for how you look and other reasons and will not help you based on the current physical condition you are in. This is malpractice on the primary care doctors part and issues like this need to be addressed. Luckily the ER doctor didn't judge and had me transferred to a better hospital to have emergency surgery performed and the problem didn't spread further and cause any major damage to my body. If the primary care doctor would have listened to me, the patient, and took me serious then the issue could have been resolved with possible antibiotics and surgery would not have been needed but instead I was told that everything was fine, sent home, just to be sent to a better hospital for emergency surgery 4 days later. Absolutely unacceptable and this is a warning to anyone seeing their in house primary care doctors. please be careful.

This place is a joke. Spent over 6 hours in the emergency room to be told they couldn't come up…read morewith a definite answer to what the problem was. Was told they were subscribing medication and then came back in and told they were going to wait and have us go to the clinic to be seen later on in the week. They didn't let me leave the room to even go to the bathroom. Asked for the TV remote several times to no avail. Went in with my 4 month old daughter for her vomiting and after 6 hours they came back in and said "we are sorry but we can't figure out why she is having this fever." Really. We weren't there for a fever. Nor did she have one. Tht was it. Got up and told them we were going to a different hospital. They made smart remarks and gave us plenty of dirty looks on our way out. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this place. Avoid it at all costs if possible.

This place leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. I hope people read this from my experience &…read morenever have to go through what I'm dealing with with this place! To add to more of the confusion, this place operates inside of the Spencer Hospital under this name. My surgeon was Dr. Dirks & Leah (the lady "who only collects the bill") in the billing department doesn't know anything except on how to collect the bill. (Hope she doesn't get paid a lot to do just that!) In Nov. 2022 I had elbow surgery to fix a fracture, unfortunately, the fracture didn't get surgically repaired until after 2 weeks after happening. The surgeon blamed the failure for the fracture to heal based on the waiting to get it surgically repaired. Because it didn't heal, he now had to send me to a "specialist" to reopen the surgical wound to add more plates and screws in it. After speaking to the specialist, he said the success rate of fixing the fracture was a 98% success rate of healing. He also said the bones were more than likely not aligned close enough to get the bones to heal together & that he was now going to have to add more bone into the fracture. In the mean time, the billing department has threatened to send me to collection after waiting 6 months for the insurance company & the hospital & them to get all the claims covered from the surgery & under the correct authorization numbers and dates after they were submitted incorrectly the first time. AND on top of that, the surgery failed to heal a fracture! This was NOT a complicated surgery by any means according to a specialist. So now the billing department is expecting me to pay, having to have no job & having to recover another 2 months from another surgery they failed to fix. AVOID THIS PLACE! All they do is blame you and threaten you with a bill, & can't even fix a fracture, then refer you to someone else. I should have gone to a better place in the first place.
