Im putting a Star only because this app wouldn't allow me to post without clicking a star…read more Coming to this Accountant was a waste of time & money. Firstly I chose him because he claims to be sited in the CBD which's close to my work, I discovered later on this is not true he visits the CBD once a week and does all his work from home. Secondly, he have no patients to listen properly & explain things. Thirdly he's not trust worthy, I paid him $500 initially for his services & consultation and to be honest, he only started an application to amend the ABN details & spent 1 hour of consultation. So he is either over charging for his services or trying get away with what I paid him. Also, last phone conversation with him he started swearing on the phone & being aggressive which only shows how unprofessional & unethical he is!

I had Andrew from Darkwave process my 2011 tax return and the whole process was simple and painless. But best of all, he asked me all kinds of questions about my purchases and spending habits over the year, and I ended out being able to offset a number of work related purchases that it had never occurred to me would be tax deductible, which meant that I received a decent amount back on my tax return. They charge $120 including GST to process a standard tax return. I would definitely recommend them for anyone in the arts, entertainment or media industries.

I'd forgotten my bank details so he said that I could email him when I got home. I did that and realised that he said they were having email troubles, so I called to confirm and he said that he was just about to go home and I had just caught him. I would have had to wait until the next day for him to call back, confirm the details and lodge. All in all, got the job done.

They are uneducated and unaware of the rules and regulations with the ATO. I had my tax return completed by Mammen in July and was left with a notice to pay $2500 from the ATO because they made huge mistakes in my return. Speaking with the ATO, they were surprised at how badly H&R Block completed my return and advised me to file an amendment on my own. When I tried calling H&R Block Prahran, they were always too busy to speak to me and refused to answer my emails. What a waste of money!! I could have filed my taxes on my own and saved myself the money and hassle from these incompetent idiots!

I was told by the receptionist that it was because of problems with the ATO, however I found that I had to do a lot of the following up even though I had paid H&R Block to act on my behalf.

I'm obviously happy to support charities by shopping at op shops, but the real appeal for me is finding a great little item that no one else will have and that will cost me only a few bucks. That's what you get at the Don. None of this, "it's a flowery 90s Laura Ashley number and we know how the 90s is back in fashion so we'll up the price tag", it's still, "It's a secondhand dress that smells a bit and has yellowing patches at the underarm region so lets get rid of it for less than $10". That's how it should be. I don't want to rummage through an overstuffed clothes rack where none of the hangers match and most of the items are total rubbish, only to find the one thing of any value to me and have to pay full whack for it. No. Is Don, is good.

Aside from that, it's got your typical array of clothes, knick knacks, bits and pieces and other general stuff that other people have thrown out but you just might find useful. Given the highly convenient location of Don Bosco, it tends to get picked over pretty heavily, so the really great finds are less frequent than at some of the more out of the way joints. Nonetheless, the prices tend to be slightly lower than at Savers down the road (though not always), and it's good for the suits, ties and ladies' nightwear from bygone eras. The odd board game also tends to surface every now and then.

I like to call it a 'hug mug' - it has to be the perfect circumference, texture, colour and height. Not an easy mission. I found an abundance of spirit mugs here! Melbourne is creative and proud of it - and this quaint ceramics shop celebrates local makers by exclusively selling Victorian goods. And good they are! Incredible actually. I fell in love with so many pieces that I bought 10 of them that I am prepared to cart home back to Perth. Turbulence, please be kind to my new ceramic friends. Located in North Melbourne, they also offer beginners workshops and community drop in days. Next door is a sunny cafe called Beatrix that looked to be brimming with delicious homemade cakes. Take one home as a perfect accompaniment for your first cup of tea in your spirit mug discovery.

I can honestly say I am not the kind of person to leave a review, but after being lucky enough to have found Bardo Lawyers several years ago, they have done so much for both me and my friends that I felt compelled to write something here as well. Over the last few years this firm has helped several of my friends who I have sent to them fix their complicated visa issues and help them through the stressful visa process. Every single one I have sent here has thanked me and many would not be here if not for the help of this law firm. The last few years I've worked with Doha Khodr who has been my lawyer helping me put together my partner visa application. She has always responded incredibly quickly and prioritized helping me even when I am sure she had a thousand other things on her plate. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has been a godsend through an incredibly difficult and stressful process. As someone who has had a couple of visas (student, graduate, etc) since living in Australia, I can honestly say I would never try and go through the stress of doing them again without Doha's help. She is a wealth of knowledge for everything visa related and she makes very unclear visa rules/regulations easy to understand. I've become a permanent resident with the help of Bardo Lawyers and I can't wait to apply for citizenship next year with their help again as well.

I have received many many interviews from her resume and have updated it over the years using the techniques I learned from meeting her. The initial resume helped me get my first job in the USA for an IT firm. It has been great since then. The resume got me a job working with the 3D film company that filmed Avatar. It also got me with some contract work, and my current job working with a large corporation. I recently had an interview at Apple, in California, because of the resume that I posted on their jobs site. The interview with 10 insanely bright Apple employees! It went really well, but I don't want to move up there right now, even though it was a great experience going to the mother ship. I am very happy with my job and where I live in Southern California. It's funny because I got the resume in Australia, and it has helped me with all my jobs in the USA. I did not shorten the resume or do anything different than what Krisitine suggested for Australian employers. The small amount of money I invested with Kristine's service is still helping me to this day! Thanks so much Kristine and Resumes Enclosed!

The prices are generally about the same as the supermarket located across the carpark, but the quality is much, much better. You know the difference between supermarket bottom-dollar-to-the-producer crap and quality fruit and veg when you see it, and obviously so do these guys. They're a friendly bunch. They're keen on helping their customers. I've seen them carry shopping bags out to customers cars many, many times. The shop is pretty small but it houses a surprising amount of variety. Everything from veggies and fruit, to herbs, and even some deli goodies. It's slick and modern with concrete floors, titled sink, huge standing mirrors and wooden tables to rest your bag or cup of tea. The aesthetics of this place does help with the whole experience but definitely isn't the reason why I go back here again and again. It is the excellent hair cut, customer service and experience that makes this hair salon unique and amazing to me. It's always peaceful and calm when I'm at Saint Louie because it's a quiet hair salon with the exception of the soft music playing in the background. It is the peaceful ambiance that makes the experience different to other hair salons I've been too. Also, my hairdresser does not rush to get my hair done and always does an amazing job to cut my hair to flatten my face whilst satisfying me for the next several weeks. I always request for Jean-Paul when I book an hair cut appointment. He has an extensive experience with cutting hair locally and internationally. It's quite a personal preference as to who you want to cut your hair. Oh...You won't get that annoying "I recommend you buy this and this for your hair". This place is very pricey for a hair cut but is on par in terms of prices with other high end hair salons in Melbourne. I'm not saying you should pay a lot of money for a hair cut but it definitely worth investing in a hairdresser (not hair salon specifically) who knows your hair, listens to your hair preference and will be honest to whether it will work or not.
