I believe they even offered us free coffee and they are dog friendly so we were also greeted by some adorable pups! I love that and I especially love any space that makes our dog feel welcome. The vibe and aesthetic are relaxed and luxurious and it's immediately apparent that they're selling very good quality merchandise. I spent a lot of time looking at their custom shirts and sweaters and my husband spent a lot of time looking at their beef jerky. They have a local line called abduction jerky that had an amazing variety of flavors. On our first visit we were still checking out the downtown area so we grabbed some snacks and drinks and headed out but after touring the town a bit more and realizing what a gem this store actually is, we headed back before we ended our day so that we could pick up some more items. How often do you find a shop with ONLY 5 star reviews? This place is a gem. It really feels like they have something for everyone. Supposely there was an entire sale on all the store from 10% to 50% off, but all that turned out to be just a scam. The prices were mark ups to maximum retail value in order for you to get a percent discount which brought the price at regular price. I saw a nice INVICTA watch i wanted. The selling price was $849 with a 10% off which was around $649 or something. I looked at that same model watch and brand on Ebay for $149. Some fucked up sale. Was not impressed. Saw all they had and it was all marked up prices. No sale was going on. Be a smart shopper. Check before you buy.

For example, on Thursday, the fruit scoopers were marked at $13, and a 4 qt. pop-top containers were $30, an extraordinarily high price for this product. I returned to the store with my daughter the following day and saw sale signs at the OXO products. However, rather than finding the $13 fruit scooper marked down, I found that the regular price of this item had been doubled to $26, and the "sale price" for a $26 item was $15.99. How dare you hoodwink your customers this way!!! This sort of shady business dealings has lost you not one but several customers. I warned my daughter and her in-laws against shopping at this store. Undoubtedly, the word will spread about the JC Penney "sales" in Roswell, NM.

Inside, you can find many funny alien shirts that sell for about $20 (prior to tax) a piece, keychains, cups, hats, sweaters, etc. All things you would expect that is mostly alien themed. I took my wife, Annie to the Roswell, NM Location to get her some nice, comfortable shoes for her…read morebirthday. The young woman was pleasant and helpful, and my wife selected an $87 pair of Skechers with air-cooled memory foam. Annie advises that the shoes were very comfortable trying them on and walking around the store, but discovered that, due to their "hands-free/slip-on" construction, there was some firm rubber that goes around the side and back of the heel at the top. This made her ankle sore, so the next time we went to Roswell, we took them with us to exchange for a more comfortable, perhaps a traditional "lace-up" style. And here is where service makes all the difference in customer experience. I have to compliment this location on their young man named Nathan. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. It was clear Nathan went the extra mile to make sure Annie had all the help she needed selecting her replacement pair and she was able to quickly decide on a pair of lace-up Skechers with the same memory foam and special air chamber in the heel. I believe this is called the "Stand on air" model. Annie said, and I quote, "These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn." Nathan was so helpful, I had to write and say something nice about him. It was our first time to see him, so I'm not sure how long he has been at this location, but he kept a very positive demeanor, very helpful attitude. He was really just perfect for what we needed. He processed the return, no problem at all. Whatever they do, they need to hang onto this employee like gold. Make him a manager (if he isn't already) and give him a nice raise.
