Been going here for years. But for awhile know pizza gone way down hill. The owner does not make the pizza anymore. I am guessing, cuz last 6 times pizza has been awful! Very cool atmosphere with the Fenway park decor. Overwhelming smell of frying oil in the dining area was slightly unpleasant. Now for the pizza. Me and a buddy were mislead by other reviews stating that this was the best bar pizza around. As avid fans of Cape cod cafe, lynwood, Js, and poopsies we were expecting something along these lines. And while this pie did have a bar pizza like crust, the rest of the pizza was akin to a small pizza shop type pizza. A very good small pizza shop pizza mind you, but you will most likely leave disappointed if looking for something like we were. Fries were good, wish there was heinz ketchup but that's nitpicking. Definitely more of a take out place. Definitely worth a visit if you're from Abington but if you're on a search for the best bar pie around you can take this off your list. read more

We had gotten a new menu in the mail...I said,"Hmmm, lets give them another try" I had stopped going to Spencers because I felt the wait time was too long. I've only ordered takeout from here, but the interior is decorated with sports memorabilia, and looks like a fun place to be. Prices were reasonable and service was quick. I went in to order to go and the lady who was there was SO rude and racist! It's sad that I'm this day in age I had to go through that. I was speaking Spanish when I first went in on the phone (obviously I hung up to order). She was so rude and was talking to me as though I couldn't understand English. She even overcharged me too. I popped in here last week for a quick sandwich while out doing errands. I am familiar with the area and frequently smell freshly baking bread wafting from Spencer's. I heard from some friends that the pizza and subs were very good, so figured I would give it a shot. I ordered a BLT with pickles instead of tomatoes and cheese. This was the best sandwich I have ever had. I don't think I have ever ate fresher bread, it tasted like it had literally come directly out of the oven. The baguette was crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I plan to go back this week and make it a regular thing!!! read more

I don't know what "Dee L." is on about, but I know for a fact that the pizza recipe is exactly the same as it's always been, and it's delicious. This place has only gotten better since the new ownership. The place is actually inviting now, as well. Very warm but casual atmosphere, especially for sports fans. Place is decked out with cool local sports memorabilia. And there are booths! No more rickety tables and chairs haphazardly thrown into a "seating area". Great food has been added to the menu, not taken away. Get a chicken and broccoli calzone, you will not be disappointed. Everything is top quality and delicious, and their catering menu is awesome; if you get a chance, order honey mustard wings. They are AMAZING.
