We found Fresh Home Painting by following a chain of trust. We started with a roofer we trusted, who recommended a general contractor, who in turn called in a painter he trusted. This was no small job. We needed new windows stained (different colors in different rooms to match exiting cabinets and woodwork), wallpaper removed, walls and ceilings painted, woodwork refreshed, our roof cleaned, and the outside of the house (aluminum siding) painted. Vince Bayeh came out with the GC, and we all worked together to decide exactly what needed to be done and how. We had already told the GC that quality was more important than speed or cost, and since we'd followed a chain of trusted professionals (who were transparent about their finders and referral fees) we threw ourselves on their mercy. Vince gave us a contract, not an estimate. It was a firm price for a detailed list of work to be done. We paid part when we signed the contract, part when work started, and the rest upon completion. We don't regret that one bit. Vince himself is a perfectionist, and so is his crew (up to five people, at some points). Vince and the GC spotted things on their final walkthrough that we would not have noticed for months, if ever, and they were fixed immediately. Vince assured us that if we had questions, we should call him and he would take care of it. We did have one issue, and not only did he come out the next day, but he took care of it himself in the same visit. I can't imagine a better experience.

Bentley arrived at the time we had discussed and got to work after a quick conversation. He promptly cleared an area under my deck of small vines and possibly poison ivy. He then began clearing the front of my yard, then finally cleared the front of my driveway of all poison ivy. Bentley completed the work (and there was alot of it) in under two hours. Antonio felt as if he could bully, intimidate me into removing a negative review because I felt that he wasn't providing adequate service. I can attest to the fact that Antonio is NOT customer service oriented and should never interact with customers because his doing so will definitely hurt a company that really has good values, reputation and that is growing financially. As a result of Antonio's antics, I ended up writing negative reviews and even contacting the BBB to file a complaint. I thought that Antonio was the only person who could address the problem but was I so wrong. Robert contacted me on Friday, September 1, and I could tell that he was very concerned about what was happening with my roof and ceilings. He showed up on Saturday morning, with his crew, and he actually walked through my kitchen, upstairs bedroom and the attic space, reviewed the video and the photo's that were taken, and even did the water hose test. Very thorough because he actually cared and wanted to find out what the problem was. He listened to me, and for that alone, I was appreciative. He wasn't condescending, he was patient, kind and caring and thorough. He didn't treat me like I was an idiot simply because I was not a roofer. I even had to leave for a scheduled meeting and I was absolutely comfortable leaving him and his crew at my home with my kids, and of course my neighbor. He followed up, told me the next steps, scheduled the time and they showed up. No changes, now showing up when they wanted to, and a very detailed, step by step project. On Tuesday, two of his contractors showed up, and from the moment they met me, he knew my name and they were so polite, and clean, they knew their stuff. I didn't expect all that was done but after they cut through the roof, he showed me the water stains on the wood but everything was dry, then they replaced the ceiling in the kitchen and painted my entire ceiling. In addition, they went to my son's room and replaced the rotted wood wall panel that was molded, and painted it too! This was way more than I expected. Those two guys worked hard, and until they were finished. I tried to buy them lunch but they were so humble. We are praying that the leaks are all fixed (none so far) and, if anything does happen again, I know that I can reach our to Robert and He will be there! I will always contact Robert for any issues, new jobs or projects that I may have, even for my company as I am a property manager and will float their company around my company. Northland, please take this advice, Robert should be the face of the company. His customer service is outstanding and soothing. Our interaction on the phone and in person was so easy and pleasant that I almost forgot about the issues I had with Antonio. I can move on now, and trust Northland because of Robert and his crew. Moved into our new house and reached out to multiple plumbers in the area and had 0 response after…read moreweeks of inquiries. Saw one of LHP's trucks driving around and figured I would check with them. Emailed and had an appointment booked same day for an estimate. Steve came right out and looked at what we needed done. Had to have a water shut off valve put in the crawl space, nothing major. Did that quick and was very happy. A month later (day before Christmas Eve) our hot water heater blew out and nearly flooded the basement. Called the office and spoke with Megan at 12 noon. By 4pm same day Steve and his apprentice had installed and removed the old water heater and had everything back to normal (better than it was, water temps are way better). More than happy with the service and pricing was incredibly fair considering the timing that it was done in. Can't reccomend Litchfield Hills Plumbing enough!
