I cannot believe this place has a 4 star rating. 1 star is for the average food. First attempt to try this place: We were staying close to the airport the day we flow into Calgary so decided to get some dinner here as they were open till midnight. Reached at 10pm and while all the tables were taken, they told us they aren't taking any more people in. Why? I'm sure I saw a few people after us go in and dine so either the staff was confused or overwhelmed or incapable of managing walk in diners. However the 4 start review threw me off and I decided to give them one more try. Second attempt: The night we were flying out we showed up (this time around 7pm). We had called earlier to reserve a table with a high chair, but when we got in, we were told they didn't have a high chair for us as they gave it to a walk in diner before us? Then the table they sat us on was seemingly on 3 legs as it would not stay still. After asking for another table they sat us in a booth - with a garbage can view outside and spiders crawling on the top of the booth. Definitely not clean in my opinion. We ordered the fish haryali tikka, chicken malai Kabab, butter chicken, garlic naan, roti, and biryani. Other than the fish tikka, everything else was so so. Chicken was soft but lacked flavor, butter chicken was boiled chicken in tomato sauce, even my 3 year old refused to eat the roti - which he has never done strangely enough. Staff was largely not present, did not come in and check on us, and it was difficult getting cutlery, someone to take our order and get the check. Skip skip skip! Came here on a Saturday evening after making reservations for a party of six request for a highchair. Upon arrival we were told that the highchair was being given to the party who walked in right before us and they did not have any other High chair to offer us( what?!?). The decor of the place looked very dated. We were first seated at a table, which is extremely unsteady. Upon being requested to move our next table while stable did not have a functioning overhead light and we stand right at the dumpster! I saw a spider as well as a roach within a few minutes of being seated. Food was mediocre at the best. The Hariyali fish was the best dish of the night! The malai chicken though tender was not very flavorful. We ordered the Amritsari paneer, which was dry. The biryani was OK but the meat was Wil cooked and tender. Butter chicken was my least favorite is extremely sweet lacking any other dimension. Overall: very subpar experience read more

Terrible service. Average food. We made reservations for 5 adults and 1 infant. Upon arrival we were informed that they are out of high chairs and the last high chair was given to a party that just walked in. We ordered the fish hariyali tikka, malai tikka and tadoori paneer tikka. Other than the hariyali tikka the other dishes lacked flavor and spice. We also got the butter chicken which tasted more like chicken cooked in marinara sauce and goat biriyani which was average. To top off our view was that of 2 garbage cans! Terrible overall read more

I would call this restaurant an modern Indian offering. They offer not only traditional dishes but also street food. The atmosphere was great and the service was almost perfect except for the 15 min span it seemed that everyone went on break. I would certainly go back. read more

Stopped here for lunch mid week, very clean, kind of dark, but quite comfortable. This place was empty, but I was quickly attended to and ordered my lunch. I asked about lunch specials but was told menu only ordering. Which is to bad, you only get to try mains. After I perused the menu I orders the Lamb Korma. (Described as " A mildly spices coconut curry dish finished with aromatic herbs and spices" (That is off their take out menu). The waitress suggested a Naan I went with a Garlic Naan. On tap was Big Rock, it would be nice to see a smaller craft beer on tap, but at least they are supporting local, great job! Unfortunately, the keg needed to be changed, and the waitress was very apologetic to me that she did not know how to do it. The mea arrived, a wonderful smelling good sized portion of food, the Garlic Naan was huge. Just right for collecting the wonderful Korma Sauce. This was the best Korma I have had in years, the Naan was soft yet crunchy on the edges, firm enough to get a good scoop of sauce and/or meat. The lamb was tasty, not as moist as I would have expected, but good. The two larger pieces were in need of the extra sauce. The smaller pieces were less tough, but still flavourful. It took all my will power to not return the next day, not that I would not have enjoyed it, but my wallet would not have. This is pricey, a bowl of Korma and a Naan bread was over $20. Not great for single diners, good for those who like to share single dishes. Take a good friend. I will be back, just not enough as I would like do to the price. The place looked really nice and modern. The service very good, they came to us very quickly and they were very polite. There was a lot of different varieties in the menu. We choose the saag and makki roti. It tasted very traditional an have an India taste. The food was very good, and delicious.
