As a past bartender, I'm impressed by how they work under pressure because Westport Social can get BUSY! The food sometimes takes a little longer but is worth the wait. Westport Social is what made my friend group realize we enjoy an interactive bar with games such as what Westport Social offers: foosball, darts, ping pong, indoor bocce, shuffleboard, and basketball hoops. We've yet to come for karaoke but there is a private room on the second floor specifically to host private parties and karaoke. They have huge tv screens to catch the game and there almost always is live music here which attracts an upbeat and lively crowd. For people who likes more bland and simple taste it might feel a little overpowering but for someone who grew up with Asian seasoning and flavor it was like heaven. I will be back many more times because I would like to try everything on the menu and I will be inviting everyone I know to try as well! I was confused because a lot of the drink menu started at $15. She then reassured me it was $12 and explained "it's because we don't charge for chasers. Just for the liquor". Okay, cool. The server then kept jumping in our conversation to defend the "we never discussed pricing" lies. We did. I was charged for my ONE drink TWICE and for the SHOT that someone else paid for. ALSO, after 9pm, this place charges a $10 entrance fee. Two bites were all I could stand. The baked beans with pulled pork were very good. They could have better if they were more savory and less sweet. If I hadn't just visited family in Austin, TX, perhaps I would've been more favorable to Hendricks. Instead, I had recent reminders of how far they fell short of even average Texas BBQ, let alone Terry Black's. I'm not planning on returning.
