This burger was unctuously rich and super saucy. I think, for me, two patties was a bit much. I removed one of the patties and the flavors of all the components came through a bit more pronounced and balanced. So, I would stick with one patty on my next visit. Because I dislike wasting food, I also ate the extra patty by itself, and it was great and well-seasoned. The fries were delicious as well: hearty with bits of potatoes skin and fried to a perfect crispness. I will absolutely be back as this is one of the best burgers I've had in Salem!

08/07/26 We had just…read morecome up from Grants Pass on our vacation and were browsing for food spots near our hotel when JoJo's came up. We instantly knew we had to check it out. By the time my uncle and I made it over to 'The Yard' Mr. Tukufu had already sold most of his food, it had apparently been a very good day for him, understandably so. Nevertheless, we ordered some leg quarters and he kindly obliged despite appearing to be worn out from the long day. When we came back around to pick up the food I was shocked at the size and weight of the take out bag that was given to us. Mr. Tukufu had certainly hooked us up and when we got back to the hotel we had an absolute feast. I am confident in saying this was the best soul food I have ever had. You could tell it was made with love and sincerity. Thank you to Mr. Tukufu for being so generous, it was not lost on us. We look forward to seeing him again the next time we are in Salem. Some would say this is the best street taco experience in the city, which is hard to argue, especially when the tacos are this good. Their tacos are around $1.50-$2.00 each, which beat the competition in terms of pricing but I trust this price will catapult in a very short time. Their version of carnitas are stewed and fried to perfection and their lengua / al pastor is fantastic. When available, their fish tacos are worth every dime, though they are a $1 more. It's not all tacos, they also serve a decent variety of burritos, quesadillas, and tortas. They're very good about stuffing every morsel of food into the tortilla / bread, which is abundant in its own right. Do not forget to use as much of their condiments to really enhance the flavor. Thankfully, it's never too busy here and the staff is super friendly. The last time I checked they were still cash only and parking is extremely limited. They've done well to attract a lot of local clientele, many of whom visit the truck during the late hours into the evening.
