Then here I found Nab brand in blueberry. The Nab brand is still refreshing and the basil seeds are amazing little bursts of fun in your mouth but I could not taste blueberry. Mom purchased the sour cherry and same with the flavor, could not taste cherry. We did like that Nab was not as sweet compared to BRAFCO. This is a brand we buy regularly from other stores, so I know exactly how it's supposed to taste. When I got home, my son spit one out, so I tried it myself--and it tasted completely off. I checked the boxes... both of them were expired over a YEAR ago. Let that sink in. Not a few days. Not a few weeks. Over a year. I went back to the store, and while they did refund me, the excuses were unbelievable. The employee tried to blame the "previous owner," saying they only took over a few months ago and that their freezer was broken. That makes no sense--because the freezer clearly wasn't broken when I was there just two days earlier. Then they claimed they "checked everything but must have missed this." Missed it? How do you "miss" products that are over a year expired? If you take over a food business, it is your responsibility to ensure you are not selling expired products. This isn't a small oversight--this is a serious public health risk. When I tried to explain that, they brushed it off and said they can't check every item because there's too much inventory. That's not an excuse--that's literally the job. If you can't ensure basic food safety, you shouldn't be operating a grocery store. I tried to be reasonable and give them a chance to fix it, but the lack of accountability was worse than the mistake itself. Do NOT shop here. I wouldn't trust anything in that store after this. Selling year-old expired food to families is beyond careless--it's dangerous. Save your time, your money, and your health.
