This used to be my favorite store in north Sacramento. Now, their hours do not match what's online. It also does not match what's on their door. It says open at 10 am on certain days. I went here today, mind you I'm a 70 yr disabled senior. No pockets, walked in with my food stamps card in my hand I walked down the aisle to pickup hot sweet chili sauce for my lumbia. This fkn man who works there literally stop right next to me as I picked up the bottle Next I went to the chip aisle to get shrimp chips. Again I bin mutha fk following me with my chips and sauce in my hand. Jesus to the Christ I mentioned it to the cashier and he ask me who? That guy ! Standing next to me at the front cashier. Market has most of the Vietnamese ingredients that I need. Owner is friendly. I will have to try their Turon, Filipino fried bananas, next time. It's $.079 each with jackfruit. Call in to place an order but note kitchen is closed on Monday and Tuesday. They start to change the oil around 3PM for next day. read more

I don't know how I gave three stars last time but I definitely wanted to get that fixed. Every time I come here the shop keepers are always helpful and knowledgeable on ingredients I'm looking for. Parking lot if a little hard to get into from the main road because it's small but don't let that deter you! read more

Love this place! The two guys working were super friendly and helpful. They have so many different food items. I went in for one thing for my mom while she and my sister waited in the car, but I wish they came in because I wanted to spend way more time in there looking around. I found what I was looking for plus a super hard to find item that I've been wanting. It might be overwhelming for some people because the space is not big, but if you can appreciate the variety of items, you will do well in this store! read more

I would starve if it weren't for this store. Family owned and operated. A gem! It's been the same service, layout, and familiarity. I think of consistency and charm, and that's what this family and store give me. No matter how old I've become, it's a time machine when walking through here. So glad for this store and not having to travel to South Sac for authentic Asian goods. Parking is hell...but worth it. The most convenient Asian supermarket in the north side of Sacramento, maybe a bit pricy but they have most of what you need.

Love this store. They always have what I need and their prices are reasonable. Prepared food on the weekends is good also.

Yelp said this store was open until 7. But I'm here and it's closed. The sign says it closes at 5, and at 4 on Sundays. Wish the info was listed correctly so I didn't make a trip for nothing. read more

Sharing a little gem in the Antelope / North Highlands Area. This place is a small grocery store that has most of your common Asian sauces and seasonings. They make Filipino party platters and some Vietnamese snacks (banh mi). Their fried bangus is legit. In the words of my husband "it takes me back to the Philippines". They have a small selection of fresh produce that I wouldn't find at Safeway or Bel Air. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised by this place and will continue to support their business because they are so convenient when I can't make a trip to South Sac. read more

Glad to see a small business open especially during rough times. The store is quaint and has counters that serve hot food which is pretty cool. I didn't try anything this time but might in the near future. I'm new to this area and have a tough time finding all the Asian ingredients I need for dishes. Located next door to Pattaya Thai is Que Huong. I should have posted a photo of this spot! It is kind of intimidating to go in. Half the store front window is painted with fish on it, the other half, you can't really see in. The first thing that hit me was the smell here. It totally brought back memories of when I went backpacking across Thailand. A certain spice mixed with incense (?). If you blindfolded me and brought me here, I could swear I was back in Asia again. It's true what you hear about scent evoking memory! Despite it's smallness, it is chock full of all types of Asian food to help you get your wok on. They even have some Eastern European goodies too. I ended up buying a small jar of pad thai sauce ($1.59) and some Tiger Balm ($4.99). The latter works great on mosquito bites. I also noticed Philippino bread pastries, veined & deveined shrimp, fresh lemongrass & taro, all types of spices, etc. This place is not as sparkling and large as Nam's Oriental Food across the road, but in a pinch you could get a few basics here. read more

I've been trying out different Asian markets/grocers lately and thought I'd take a closer look at this one. It is very small-looking from the outside but the interior, while quite small compared to the larger, Asian supermarkets (like SF & KP), really maximizes on what space is available. I was very surprised to see a hot food counter where you can order from a wall-mounted menu. The owners are very nice, courteous, and helped me locate items. They do speak English fluently and those two qualities alone (language & personal touch) pleasantly set this place apart from its larger counterparts. The storefront, like the neighborhood where this neat, little place resides, is a bit questionable but I didn't necessarily feel unsafe. You can only use your debit card for purchases larger than $10 unless you want a $1 fee tacked on. Eh. I'd recommend trying this place but if you're like me then you might opt for the convenience of a larger supermarket. read more

The owners are very friendly and have almost any Asian food item or ingredient that you need instead of traveling all the way to South Sac. The owners are Chinese but the few hot food items of the day that they sell are Filipino food. They're also hustlers, they'll try to get you to buy more things than you planned on buying. I can't blame them because they're a family business and gotta hustle to keep their head above water but I politely decline and pay for what I need without any further pressure. They have a few fish thawed out in their display case but most of their seafood is frozen now but years ago they used to have a lot of fresh fish and hot food in the past as well live blue crabs on Thursdays but not anymore. If you want que huong market to fry the thawed fish for you, they charge extra per fish. I don't eat frozen stale seafood so I choose to go the extra miles to seafood city to get my fresh fish and live blue crab nowadays and seafood city fry's your fish for free. read more

This little market has a good selection of asian necessities, especially if you don't want to want to drive all the way down to south sac or rancho to the larger asians markets, my only advise is be careful when you purchase snacks or drinks from them, there have been several occasions when some of the stuff I purchased were expired! read more

I haven't been to Que Huong in about a year, or so; but whenever I'm in the area, I drop in every now and then to run an errand for my mom, or to get some snacks. It's nice to see that they're still in business despite the openings of other asian groceries. I guess there's something about this place that keeps my family coming back. Gosh, Que Huong has been here for over 20 years, and I love to say that not much has changed. When I first came to this store, I was like 7 yrs old HA! The isles are still tiny, it still smells the same, and the shrimp chips are still stocked in the same spot. The last time I came in, they told me how they remembered me as a kid and asked how my grandpa was; very sweet. They are nice people. read more

I have been here many times. The convenience and location are great for all your asian cooking needs with the exception of a large meat counter. They do have some meat and fish and frozen meat but just not alot. 90% of what they have here is canned and bottled goods, and they have quite a bit. Very nice people, if you need help finding something just ask and they will show you where it is. They also serve hot Pilipino food on the side. Also have various international liquor there also. Not real expensive compared to the convenience. Im going there today to buy some Kewpie mayonnaise for my Siracha hot sauce for my sushi rolls. read more

I have been coming for years... Its very small store filled with lots of goodies... Its tiny asian grocery store. You can buy all the stuff you buy in Seafood City here. They have the shrimp chips that I love with the flavors, meat area, can goods, produce, raw meats section and of course the hot food area... Its not a big store, so when the store is filled with people. There is not a lot of room to walk around. If you have kids, dont bring them in. I always leave my kids in the car with my boyfriend. I dont need my 2 yr old son breaking things in the store or getting all the stuff he can reach and put it in my basket. (He has been doing that lately. I find stuff in my cart that I didnt want.) I came here for a bag of rice and some hot food but I ended up just getting the fresh lumpia that I have been craving for. 4 fresh lumpia for $4.99 and I ended waiting for the lady to make them. She made everything fresh. I could see her making my order... (fresh lumpia are like wraps but the wrap is like crepe, veggies and pieces of pork and shrimp all in one) comes with garlicky peanut sauce. I love it. Its hard to find in Sacramento... But I could always find it here. They have tables and chairs surrounding the hot food area. You can also order Lechon here and asian/filipino food. This market carries almost anything you are looking for when you're trying to get ingredients for Asian dishes. I wanted to make Thai green curry and I definitely did not want to drive all the way to South Sacramento in the rain last night. Stopped here after work and found thai basil, thai eggplants, chilis , curry, coconut and kaffir lime leaves. This place is really random. It's as if a store from the south area has been dropped right in the middle of North Highlands. You can order hot food, Chinese and Filipino. They also do party platters and have a huge list of items to order. They also have the tiny store choked full of seasonings, sauces, etc. I go here allot for pancit bihon, lumpia, and other hot foods. I think the lumpia might be frozen, but it hasn't stopped me from ordering a tray full of those suckers. They're much friendlier here than they are in markets in the south area. read more
