This is always busy when open- a good sign; parking and access is tight. I find the varieties of canned fava beans excellent for my health and I have found no fava bean foods in local conventional supermarkets. It is a working grocery that is kept clean enough. If an occasional flying insect is seen indoors, I take it as a good sign that dangerous chemicals are probably absent. This place is wonderful, unlike the excessively groomed usa supermarkets that sell poor nutrition in glitzy packages. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Thanks to all the staff and customers. However, our shopping experience was somewhat marred by the presence of flies in the bulk bin section, where we had intended to purchase raisins. Discovered this market by accident driving through Sac, immediately drawn to bread section where fresh hot flatbread was being placed on a rack right out of the oven. The crunchy whole wheat variety was especially good. Primarily Muslim & Indian clientele. Market exterior is in need of a good steam pressure wash. read more

Actually I stopped eating here but was so hungry made another mistake by stopping by and trying their Qabeli Palaw. Will never recommend their food to anyone else. read more

They do have a good selection of spices, lentils, and other imported groceries. But the reason they're not getting 5 stars is their customer service. The cashier was so unfriendly, didn't even return a hello. Middle Eastern, Central, and South Asian customary greetings should come naturally, you depend on our money and business. Nice, clean market with an assortment of meat cuts (including ribeye steak!) and beef salami, frozen soujouk, and bacon with a small area of fresh produce as well. There were at least eight rows of dry goods such as Shaan masalas and other grocery items. Prices were very reasonable too! I especially liked everybody working there, they were friendly and helpful. So sad to have to post this. I've patronized King International since they opened but I'm so tired of their lax standards for health and safety. Example 1, i found expired products on their shelves and told the cashier about it. He shrugged and did, "Okay..." That was the end of it. No action. No informing anyone else. Just like a thanks for the notification. Example 2, from the outset of COVID-19 neither staff not customers are wearing masks. Forget six foot distancing. When I asked one of the owners (who I've tried to support because they are an Afghan immigrant and refugee) of they're wearing masks, he rolled his eyes and said, "No." I said, "Good thing you have the sign out front that says you guys are requiring them." Example 3, their products are not well managed upon receipt from their distributors. Their bread is often stale. The dairy has spoiled well before Use By dates more than once. When I brought this to the attention of staff they asked, "Did you put it in the refrigerator?" I am only posting this in hopes they'll change. I don't want them to go out of business, but I feel like they mustn't really care if this is the standard they're operating under. read more

Yikes, the staff here don't wear face masks (this is during the coronavirus pandemic). I normally don't care too much, but since I was with my elderly mom I politely asked one of the guys to wear his mask. He put it on but 30 seconds later it slipped down again. Others were walking around totally unmasked, not a care in the world. Other than that the store is just ok. Limited selection and not cheap. After here we went to KP Market and it was amazing! Top notch health and safety protocols. I know it's billed as an Asian supermarket but they have a decent Middle Eastern section too. read more

The staff is extremely friendly there! Parking is easy and the products are great! Produce is always fresh and affordable.

This review is about their customer service. Their staff here are quite unfriendly and really barely ever even return your salaam. I walked around the store looking for one particular product and one young lady in particular blatantly refused to make eye contact with me and when I tried to get her attention to ask where something was located she turned her back. The men working here barely speak when ringing us up and act like they are doing us the favor. There is just no appreciation for our business here. Really sad to think this is how they treat their Muslim customers, or any customer. read more

Dirty beyond measure. Bags, debris, food parts, groceries all on the floor. Extremely dirty. Moldy olives. Disorganized products all over the place. Expired products(make sure you check every single exp date). Rude staff. Overall, an embarrassment of an establishment. Why be in business if you are that careless?!! read more

The amount of happiness I feel entering this store is beyond me. I grew up in a town that had no middle Eastern store. So this store is a huge bonus to me. They have such a wide variety of stuff, a nice halal meat cuts section, and a kind staff. Of course this stuff is going to be a bit pricey, you're purchasing imported product.
