If you want unlimited sangria or mimosas, great music, and decent food, this is definitely your place. The DJs they bring in are always on point and really set the vibe. That being said, if you're going for top tier food or a lot of variety, this might not be it. Nothing I've tried has been bad, but nothing has really stood out as amazing either. One thing they do not play about is the drinks. Your mimosa or sangria will never be close to empty , the second your glass drops a little, someone is right there to top you off. We visited Spicy Burrito on a Saturday night and had a really good experience. It's a great place if you want to eat well, enjoy cocktails, and stay out without having to go to a club. For drinks, we ordered the Don Chente and the Tour of Mexico, both were very good and perfect to start the night. We shared a few dishes, including the guacamole with chicharrón and fried sweet plantains, birria tacos, and the corn desgranado with bacon and chicken -- everything tasted great. My favorite dish by far was the BBQ rib bao buns. So good and definitely something you should try if you come here. We ordered three appetizers, mimosas, sangrias, and a traditional guacamole. I really liked their traditional guacamole. It tasted authentic and the tortilla chips tasted fresh. I ordered the skirt steak, chicken, and shrimp entree with rice and plantains under their brunch menu. I enjoyed my meal very much. The rice and the plantains tasted authentic as well. We did the tequila flight for my friend's birthday and the tequila flight presentation was amazing with small slices of mango. The service was good, although it would have been better if we kept the pitcher of mimosas and didn't have to wait for the waitress to come around and serve my friends. The music was fun party music! Finally getting around to reviewing Spicy Burro! I follow them on Instagram since they've first opened, and finally made my way there. Attended happy hour on a random Thursday night with a friend. The vibes were pretty good considering happy hours can be a hit or miss. Staff was friendly and welcoming as we sat at the bar. Drinks were made good and also aesthetically pleasing . Spicy burro offers a cute vibe, from their decor to their neon sign photo Booth area. There was also a DJ playing all the tunes which made us enjoy the night more and not wanting to leave lol. So on a regular basis I usually come to spicy burro after work with coworkers, we love the ambiance, food and the service from the bartenders however tonight was a completely different night from the rest. I am so disappointed and really considering if I want to even return after tonight! I came in with one coworker as we waited for two others while we waited we ordered a mango mojito and a mangolada recommendation from the bartender. As we waited we wanted to make sure we had enough time to order food, the gentleman behind the bar stated the kitchen closed at 12:00pm great it was only 10:30pm we had time. As we waited for the other two, bartender with short hair brought us chips and salsa(chips were stale) when I mentioned it, bartender she rolled her eyes and walked away with the bowl. The first 20 mins of us waiting we order guacamole with pork and no maduros which came with a bowl of chips non stale, once my two other coworkers arrived we ordered another guacamole same non stale chips so we were good. My two coworkers ordered their drinks mangolada and mezcal with passion fruit this new girl looked at my friend as if she had 12 heads like she didn't know what she was being asked when I explained the bartender knows as I'm always ordering the same she walked away rolling her eyes. I didn't understand what was going on why all these ladies tonight had such an attitude... come 11:15pm we ordered a steak burrito and I ordered shrimp tacos, my tacos were cold however still tasty enough, (it was shrimp and and topped with cabbage) my coworker had the steak burrito and in her words it's amazing! Once we finished eating I ordered a beer it was probably 11:30pm. Come 11:55pm my coworker tries to order another drink however the bartender doing her liquor count said "it's unfortunately past the allowed time to make you another drink" I stated when was last call as a bartender that's usually what's done again rolled her eyes and walked away, at this point I'm annoyed so I ask for the check and pay our bill. As we were gathering ourselves to leave short hair bartender comes over and asked was there anything else we needed as in a sense she was saying to leave... so I asked her are you kicking us out like I understand if you're trying to go home... she walked away and told her other coworkers honestly at this point I'm annoyed, and I became more annoyed when the bartender served a table more drinks after we were denied due to "bar being closed" I was in shock because I have never had an experience like tonight! I really enjoy coming to spicy burro and was looking to plan a brunch with my friends, but after tonight I will be looking for another location for brunch and my after work outings! read more
