I went out with friends for a good meal and I was NOT disappointed! Our server was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. The cutlery and table were clean, the music was at a good volume, and the dishes were spotless. Even though they serve many different dishes, the menu was clear and coherent, and it offered vegetarian options for those who prefer them. The Chili Naan I ordered was so fresh that I ended up ordering a second to take home and enjoy the next day! The samosas were crunchy, piping hot, and packed with flavor. The entrees came out in a timely manner; not so fast to make one think everything was pre-made, and not so slow to indicate an inexperienced chef was in the kitchen. My lamb curry was perfectly cooked; there was neither dryness nor pink meat in the center of each cut. Most Indian restaurants struggle with the fine tuning of spiciness in their dishes, yet the chef at this establishment seems to have written the book on this technique! My mouth immediately began to slightly burn from the curry, but it didn't mask the symphony of flavors emanating from the homemade sauce. UPDATE: Still 5/5 stars. After many more trips back to Spicy India I'm still 100% happy with everything I've tried. So much flavor in everything and the spicy amount of heat is perfect. My go-to is Chicken Korma with Garlic Naan. I've tried almost everything and you can't go wrong. Finally Indian food in Abilene! This place is legit. We tried lots of dishes and I have no clue what they were but they were all really good. The atmosphere isn't anything to excite you and it takes a long time to get your food just because they make it fresh. But if you're looking for taste vibes this is a good one. This place is amazing! They have a great variety on the menu and the staff is very attentive and friendly. As I was paying and leaving today, I was so caught up in conversation with the staff and the people I came with that I failed to grab my credit card. As I was getting into my vehicle, the owner rushed outside to let me know I forgot my card. After thanking him I joked, "You sure you don't want to keep it?" He hilariously replied, "Well you didn't leave us the pin..." If you want to branch out and try something new, Spicy India is the perfect choice! Get the Chai Tea! It is amazing! I've had a lot of Chai Tea and this is probably one of my favorites. Like it a bit strong? Don't add sugar. Like it a little sweet? Add 2 packets of sugar and it is almost perfect. You should also order food! The Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Butter Chicken were outstanding. The Chicken Tikka Masala was full of flavor and had just a small "kick" to it but definitely not spicy. The Butter Chicken was smooth , creamy, and delicious! Definitely recommend coming here for the food and the staff was super friendly and courteous!! read more

Today I had a vegetable curry at Spicy India, my first time to dine there. The food was excellent in every way, as was the naan. The menu is extensive and I intend to become a regular and try just about everything on it. Since the restaurant has just opened and virtually all the tables were filled, service was slow. Let's hope that improves with time. Regardless, I look forward to returning to Spicy India soon. I recommend it highly. read more

Go to this restaurant. It's great food! If you're not Indian, don't order spicy or else you will be crying on the floor. Trust me when I say that it's REAL spicy. I don't know what else to say lol. Just go and eat the food. Oh, I forgot to say that the portions are really big too. We ordered the vegetable biriyani, and it can definitely feed at LEAST two people. YUM! The chicken tikka masala is to die for. The butter chicken is amazing as well. And the garlic naan is so good. You really can't go wrong ordering anything from here. Food was delicious! Chicken 65 and chile naan for appetizer - wonderful. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and it was great, got medium spice, will get spicy next time. We were traveling through heading to Dallas and stopped over at this place. The close at 3pm and we arrived at 3pm. The owner was nice and kept the place opened till we ate. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I would recommend stopping through or if you live in the area! read more
