I heard this is the longest standing business in Laguna beach. My pops actually got his first job here when he was a teen. Now I have a store of my own just a few doors down. It's incredible to have such an amazingly stocked shop with the best of people manning it every day so close to home. The owners are awesome, the drinks are cold, and the location can't be beat.

they are selling quite a few things which are expired, went to try to buy my grandchild an apple juice and every single apple juice expired in march of 2026 and the bottles were starting to bulge, tried to find a different option and there were numerous things which were expired for months still on the shelf , ended up just buying some little powdered donuts and to my surprise those were also expired, not sure how they operate this establishment with multiple different things that have been expired for months read more

I find the wine here to be overpriced selections of wines you can find in any grocery store. All the Rombauer and Austin Hope type overpriced, mediocre wines and nothing really that unique. The staff are friendly enough and they do have some great options for cocktails to go. read more

They have given a much needed makeover to the Spigot. It's so bright and welcoming. They didn't just improve the property aesthetically but added a wide selection of beers, whiskeys, tequilas and wines. They have vastly improved the selection with so many choices. The highest quality products of liqueurs in the area. They have a pretty nice selection of cigars as well. The vibe is still casual but with sophisticated tastes. read more

I really like this store under the new ownership because they have spruced things up inside and out! The store is top quality now with a fabulous wine selection, upgraded products, friendly service and overall lower prices. I've lived just around the corner for almost 10 years and dreaded giving this place my money. It was only out of necessity and convenience. I then heard it changed ownership and boy what a difference they have made already! They are giving this place new life with great products at a reasonable rate. One thing you don't normally see at a liquor store are the prices. So thankful this place had labeled prices on almost everything. Unfortunately we didn't buy anything. It was a cloudy day at the beach so we left instead of getting drinks and being cold on the beach. read more

Place was amazing. Not only did we get everything we needed for our first day at the beach, drinks, food, beach supplies, it's a land mark in Laguna Beach. It used to be a bootleg bar in prohibition I think. Went back for some really top shelf liquor for the evening. Highly recommend. read more

Spigot is great with new owners. Spigot was our go-to store for beach trips for years, but had lost it's friendly vibe so we no longer went. New owners have hired friendly people, cleaned it up, added products and listened to customers. We're back to being regular customers! read more

I've been a customer regularly for more than a year. It was a dreadful place. Never any words exchanged. Plus dark and dingy. I heard that it changed hands last month to local owners. I went in earlier today and boy what a difference! The porn is gone, it's lighter and very friendly. I met the new owners and they are great and very accessible. They have lots of great plans to better serve the community. I'm told that they are lowering most prices. Can't wait to see what's ahead! read more

Oh my goodness, what a difference new owners make! Especially when the last ones were angry people, who acted pissed when they had to take your money. The new owners + staff are a delight! What a pleasant place to shop. I first go in and was surprised to find great place with abundant wine selection. Clean and tidy throughout the store. But that is not the reason why i'm writing the review. It was the friedly service that I received from the owners of the store. Great husband and wife team that made me feel pleasant. Prices high, have everything imaginable in stock, almost always open, not very friendly owner who almost seems mad you are there to buy some of his stuff...pretty typical corner liquor store. Was there when we needed things in a pinch and we could walk. read more

I'm giving them 5 stars because of Sean, Victor and Rose. They all work there and are always so nice. Sam ( the owner) is always an a**hole. I live down the street and go in there for once a day and have been for over 4 years and he still is a jerk...that's just the way it is. If you don't like it, don't go in there! No need to write a bad review. They are just business owners trying to make it. I don't think Sam can help being a jerk. I know he has alot off health issues and is probably miserable there when he's working. But he has too sometimes. Other then that they have everything you need although there prices are a little high but what place isn't in Laguna. Most of us are paying for the convince. They also let me pay next time if I need something and didn't bring enough money. So for those reasons ....I give them 5 stars. I will say that hiring Sean amd Victor was the best thing they have done in years! read more

The store itself is pretty damn dirty. The man who worked here was very rude to me. My friend and I came in here one day to get waters and for some reason we were laughing at something that had happened earlier and out of no where the man at the front yells "hey! be quiet!" at us. When we came to the front to pay for our water bottles he asked me "Are you stupid? Are you a baby?" I apologized for laughing and he decides to call his wife and tell her that "stupid girls came in the store giggling" while I was paying for my water. What the fuck? This also confused me quite a bit, I didn't understand what we did wrong and I still don't understand to this day. Won't be returning. read more

Our business is a locally owned and operated liquor/convenience store. We have a friendly staff and welcome everyone. We also have a great selection of wines. We just purchased the liquor store from the previous owners on Dec. 1, 2021. Stop in and say hello. We welcome suggestions to make this a truly "neighborhood" store.

Meet the Business Owner: Shelley A.

My husband and I decided to buy Spigot liquor because it was in our neighborhood and was a run down terrible liquor store. We wanted to make a positive improvement to the community. We have lived in Laguna Beach for over 30 years and we love our town. The improvements we've made to the building and also bringing in good quality products have been very well received by our community and we feel very honored and blessed to have been able to do this.

Came to Newport for a family vacay and was looking for nearby options for the wife and I to escape…read morefor dinner. We showed up at 9:30, and the owner and servers were so nice and understanding. We never felt rushed or pressured to order quickly. I got the spicy chicken sandwich after seeing previous reviews, and my wife got the Lagunaian wedge and Mac & cheese. Everything was exceptional. I love blue cheese, but am not the biggest fan of fried chicken with cheese on it. This combo flipped me on my head, so delicious with the blue cheese slaw. The Mac & cheese was almost like a hybrid of a baked Mac and a gooier stovetop style Mac, and the six cheese blend added a lot of depth of flavor. We have already agreed that we will be back at least once more while we're down here for the chicken sandwich again.

I refuse to shop there, but by all means, shop here if you like nasty, unfriendly owners. Shop here if you like paying the debit fee and the highest prices in Laguna Beach. Shop here if you like dirty, unsanitary conditions. Shop here if you like it when the owners charge you more than the listed price hoping you don't notice. Shop here if you like it when the owners don't post the prices on the products and then they tun out to be much more expensive than anywhere else. Shop here if you like the owners to be actively nasty to your children when they go in to buy a candy bar. Spigot Liquor is not local owned, and it is not a good place.I refuse to shop there any more. read more

Please do not support his business, I work in Laguna I moved trash cans and that had wondered in the road from the rain to the sidewalk in front of this store. He came out to my car, called me stupid, then kicked the side of my car. He then came out to call me stupid some more while I waited for PD. Disgusting humans with no shred of moral standards. Absolutely atrocious human beings. read more
