On a cold Monday morning, I needed coffee before my walk on the beltline, and Spiller's Park came through! This little coffee shop is located on the bottom floor of Ponce City Market, down by Williams Sonoma. It was fast and friendly, and my latte was quite tasty. I had asked for some powdered cinnamon in my latte and it was delicious, but I swear I think it also had Cardamon or something like that in it. I thought the prices were reasonable, on par with pretty much everywhere else we had been to for coffee in Atlanta. I was in PCM for a work-related project, and was in desperate need of a good cup of coffee. I visited Spiller once at the Marietta Blvd. location and I don't think I ordered the best drink. It was just OK. Well this time, I asked the barista for a rec and he suggested that I try something with a hint of their homemade lavender honey syrup. He even gave me a tiny cup to try and it was divine!! I got an iced latte with a little of the syrup and I was in heaven. Despite this being a coffee shop, the toast they served is unmatched. My go-to is the Avocado Toast, which comes with an avo-lime mash, chili butter, and radishes. The chili butter adds a nice kick, but is by no means overwhelming. There's also the option to add an egg, which really takes it to the next level. The toast to topping balance is a little off, being toast heavy, and is also very difficult to eat. Just be prepared, it will be messy. The location is very convenient if you're visiting Ponce, as it's in the center of the food court. We came early in the morning and it was practically empty, and the food came quickly. There is a small counter with limited seating, but lots of surrounding tables for everyone in ponce to enjoy. read more

The only milk alternative they have is oat, but I actually liked the latte with it. I'm usually not a big fan, but I am of this one. Didn't even need to add sugar. Nice setting with all other PCM places. They have chairs around for people staying there. They only thing is they don't have plugs in case people want to stay there and work. read more

This location is located inside of Ponce City Market, I didn't know what I wanted and the staff was very patient with me trying to figure out what I wanted to order. I decided to be different and try their Cola Cocktail it is Espresso, Coca-Cola, Cream & Vanilla. It was actually good and woke me up, I wasn't sure if I'd like all the flavors together but I took a gamble. It has a fun baseball theme and prepares barista-style drinks like lattes, Americanos, espressos, and good old plain drip coffee. My only issue is that they don't have skim or non-fat milk at their to-go station, and I always forget to ask when ordering my coffee. Having another dairy option at the self-serve counter would go a long way. When I visited last week, their toast with peach jam was so yummy. Although the toast felt most like Texas toast--it was so thick! There was way more bread than I normally consume in a whole day. It is co-owned by James Beard award-winning chef Hugh Acheson and barista extraordinaire Dale Donchey. By the way, Ponce de Leon Park also known as Spiller Park or Spiller Field from 1924 to 1932. It was also called "Poncey" to locals. It was the primary home field for the minor league baseball team called the Atlanta Crackers for nearly six decades. I always love coming here if I'm around Ponce earlier in the day. On this day, I left home without eating and I couldn't last much longer. Therefore, I went over to Spiller Park to grab me avocado toast with a fried egg. And must I say it was excellent! It did get a little messy but totally worth it. Also, the service was great! Spiller Park is always going to be top of my list for a coffee and toast. This is some of the best bread I've had, the first time I got just toast and butter.. I'm a baker and a bread head, the bread and butter is so perfect. It hard to describe but if you love thick fluffy sourdough and cultured butter order that toast. My latte has never been disappointing. The cinnamon sugar toast is also delicious, slathered with butter and a cinnamon sugar conc They have the sweetest and coolest staff. I feel like Spiller Park is known for their toast more than their coffee at this point and so I had to partake just once...I am not a big avocado toast type of guy, but I succumbed to the hype and tried it at their sister location and I was quite impressed! I prefer the coffee, but the toast was spot on! My only "gripe" is price. We got an americano and chai latte and sat at the bar area. There was a wait for us to get our drinks, probably 15 mins, and we also sat across the area where drinks were being handed out, so we didn't hear our name being called when our drinks were ready for pick up. I was so happy to have a fresh brewed cup of joe from Spiller Park Coffee when we came in to PCM for our first time in the 4 days we were in Atlanta. You can smell the coffee as soon as you walk into the doors at PCM and it made me crave a fresh cup as soon as we walked inside. Menu is overhead and as simple as it can get with the selection and options you have here at Spiller Park Coffee. I was intrigued with the history proudly painted and displayed around the coffee spot. I also really loved the green sleeved coffee with letters ATL printed on as well. These little details just make me a fan forever. I also appreciated the Maya Angelou quote on the marquee menu as well. Coffee was tried and true and simple. I absolutely loved the latte I ordered and my boyfriends mocha was delicious. This might be the only coffee spot in PCM which just warms my heart because it was great! read more

I got a typical iced vanilla latte and it was delicious! The staff was friendly but not super engaging. Otherwise I would highly recommend versus any Starbucks in the area! If you're a matcha fan, you NEED to try the matcha here. I love the iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup added to it. Their vanilla and matcha feel like they have some secret ingredient that take it to the next level. It's one of my top 3 matcha lattes I've ever had (with the vanilla syrup in it). Also tastes just lovely with oat milk if you like oat milk. I will say the matcha latte is on the sweeter side so I have to limit how often I can get it (but that also makes it taste pretty damn good). The baristas are always SOOO friendly :) In my experience, the flavor of the chai is delicious, but is often powdery because the tea powder doesn't mix into the concentrate as well so I've been steering away from it. I don't drink much coffee, but I've heard amazing things! Again, their syrups added to the drinks make them even more amazing. I work in this building, and this place is such a staple, everyone at work stands by them! Definitely on the pricey end, but everything in ponce is priced like this :( read more

oh my, how ATL has changed! i've been eyeing Spiller Park Coffee before my ATL trip and love its retro baseball theme. while walking around PCM trying to decide on lunch, i was happy to stumble upon their outpost here! came here right after lunch and got the iced caramel latte and a bag of the MVP No. 3 Off Season beans (roasted on 4/19, just a few days before my visit) to enjoy at home. lemme tell you, the caramel syrup was AMAZING! i was expecting a run-of-the-mill syrup, but this proprietary syrup has DEPTH. it was rich, smoky, perhaps a little bit of saltiness, and just the right amount of sweetness. it was life-changing to say the least! i was back at PCM again the next day around closing time and tried to order a brewed coffee but they suggested an Americano instead. not bad at all and i love the cup design! overall, the coffee and service were good. the beans were tasty as well. would love to return when i visit ATL again. read more

That Cola 'Cocktail' will F you up... in a good way! Cool little coffee stand at Ponce City Market on the Williams Sonoma side of the complex. I'm guessing with the Braves' recent World Series win this place is going to be even more popular, but regardless of whether you're a fan of America's Pastime or not, the baseball themes here are a charming touch. Turns out, Spiller Park is named after the primary home field for the unfortunately named Atlanta Crackers minor league baseball team for almost six decades, as well as the Negro League champion Atlanta Black Crackers. Renamed Ponce de Leon Park in the 1930s and since demolished, it was located across the street of what is now Ponce City Market... a little tip of the hat to history! Besides all of the baseball references I'm too much of a casual fan to recognize, they have a wide range of caffeine options here. Spotting something I've never seen before, I got the Cola 'Cocktail' for $6.10. Made with 2 shots of espresso and Mexican Coke, hooo boy, is this drink a bolt of lightning in a cup! Described as a sort of coffee float, this drink is probably too much caffeine for any one person but it'll definitely wake you up regardless of whatever state of listlessness you're in. The taste is hard to describe, like one of those blended caffeine and cola energy drinks you find at a convenience store, but somehow even more potent. And I thought only the alcoholic drinks were strong in Atlanta... no wonder the Braves won The Pennant! read more

I had 2 things, Cappuccino and Jam Toast. Cappuccino was served at what I call a sane temperature, normally it's so damn hot you have to wait an hour to take a sip. But for real, my jam toast, was served on this thick ole' slice of bread with some really tasty jam! It was JUST what I needed first thing in the morning. Staff had a great, 90's goth vibe that I particularly enjoy, being a fossil. Music was dope. Only gripe was the signs reserving seating for customers, I felt paranoid sitting down because of the giant "RESERVED" at the top of the sign. Quick spot for a pick-me-up while browsing PCM and walking be Beltline! An open counter kiosk near Williams Sonoma, Atrium, and H&F Burger, it can get a little crowded. Sometimes, it is difficult to tell where the line for Spiller Park starts and ends. Luckily, the service moves quickly and there are some signs to give direction to customers waiting. As for the coffee itself, it's great! When I went, it seemed like they were sourcing from Intelligentsia, an incredible coffee retailer based in Chicago (with a training lab here in ATL!) I ordered an iced latte ($4.74) with oat milk (+$0.80). It rates in my top 5 lattes probably! Not sure what precisely did it for me, whether it was the quality of the coffee or the creaminess of the oatmilk, but the latte was perfect! Rich in flavor with no added sweetness -- just what I wanted! I didn't try their homemade flavor shots but there are plenty for your choosing. I thought the size was good for the price, and the fact that it's located in PCM. I also appreciated the seating around the kiosk so I could sit and enjoy my drink while watching the baristas prepare others' drinks.
