Thus shop is doing all things right! Let's start with how we got here ! A friend sent me a picture of a Tik Tok picture featuring an ube latte! I responded with - when are we going? We decided we would wait until the weekend since we would have to drive from Cobb county to the city. I started doing some research and did not see ube latte on the menu. I called the phone number listed on yelp- but it appears it is just a cell number and went directly to voicemail. I went to the website and found an email address. I sent a basic question/ do you have an Ube latte on your menu? To my surprise I received a response! This simple response was exhibit A that they don't play about customer service On Saturday morning I arrived to the shop around 11am! The coffee shop is a neighborhood spot! As such, you will just have to find street parking in the neighborhood. I ended up parking a block away. This place was crowded! I did have to wait in a line. However, I enjoyed checking out the item for sale while waiting in line. The book titles had me laughing , this is your go to spot for a unique gift! We ended up ordering the following: 1. Hot Matcha latte with ube and oat milk 2. Hot ube latte with oat milk 3. Cheese danish NOTE: I did confirm that the matcha they use is NOT pre- sweetened. This is a huge plus in my book!! The item came out quickly. All items weee served in to go containers. I am not sure if this is just standard practice even if you are dining in. We were able to grab a table outside! However, this place was crowded and open seating was limited! My matcha was AMAZING! It was not too sweet, which is how I like my matcha. The cheese danish was also delightful. My friend said she enjoyed her latte too. I will note that I did not taste the Ube flavor. This coffee shop is a vibe, but also serves yo tasty drinks and treats! I would highly recommend checking this spot out ! read more

There's not a ton of seating (or rather there seems to be decent seating but people like to camp out at tables for a while). I got a pandan latte with oatmilk and it was fantastic. Cute and quirky coffee shop in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. I found street parking and walked in to the counter. I ordered a bourbon caramel latte and a spinach and cheese danish. The latte was made with a beautiful design using the milk and foam and the danish was flaky, warm, and savory. It was so crowded I ended up sitting outside but it's a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, so that was perfect for reading. Can't wait to come back and try more! read more

This place literally has something for everyone. I would consider this a witchy gift shop/cafe/lunch spot, because it really does have it all. Entering here is always fun because you can go through the gift area and check what kind of trinkets they have, before horseshoeing into the food selection, including desserts, sandwiches, salad, and pastries. They have plenty of gluten free options, as well as vegan and vegetarian options so it is a great stop for anyone with restrictions. They have a full coffee menu, as well as intriguing seasonal drinks and teas/not coffee options. I highly recommend this place for a stop and go, or even to meet up with friends and hang out. There is always street parking (hope you can parallel) and they have both indoor and outdoor seating, sometimes with live bands and outdoor markets in front of the entrance. Big fan of this place. We were recently in Atlanta and for some reason... the majority of local coffee shops I try in Atlanta are delicious. Their website mentions that they opened in 2023. I've only been to Atlanta 3 times since 2023 so I hadn't come across Ash yet. We were staying in an airbnb close-by and coffee was absolutely needed on the morning we stopped in. It's tucked away in a neighborhood and we didn't have any issues finding a place to park on the street. I ordered a large drip coffee(black). I drink all of my coffee black and loved that this place didn't want to make a big deal out of it. I go some places, and people can't believe people order coffee black sometimes. lol. It was delicious. Not bitter. Just straight up coffee bean taste. We also ordered two croissants. Mine was a pistachio croissant and my wife's was a butter(I believe) croissant. I wish we would've been in the immediate area the other days of our visit because those croissants were something special. I'll definitely be thinking about them until I visit again. I was surprised by how busy this place was around 10 AM. It was cozy outside on the sidewalk and comfy inside. The windows for this place are wide and tall so the sun fills in the room. I don't even think they need lights in the place. Lighting perfection. It really set the mood and I wish we would've had time to hangout for a bit. I've noticed that some shops make you feel out of place. This place doesn't at all. The tables aren't too close together and everyone seems to be doing their own thing. Although we ordered croissants, they seemed to have a case full of food. I intend to go try more of their menu when I'm in town. Reading through some of these reviews, I didn't realize they had Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Trying that the next time. Additional: They also have a store area with various things. We looked for a few minutes but not long enough. There wasn't a line when we entered the place so we were able to order right away. I rank this up there with the must-try coffee spots in Atl. Ash Coffee is a really cute coffee shop! I did enjoy their matcha drink, and I thought the ube syrup was delicious and super pretty. The inside of the coffee shop is very cute, and it has a section where you can shop for unique gifts or unique mugs. They have a huge selection of baked goods and sandwiches which I thought was really nice, especially if you're looking to do some work for a little bit. The reason why I gave it three stars is that my sandwich wasn't really warmed. The outside was warm, but the inside of the sandwich was very cold. It was a little unappealing for me which is sad since the sandwich is pretty pricey. Also, the WiFi didn't seem to work. My friend and I couldn't get on, and we saw other people sitting near us using their hot spots as well. Overall, I would come back to visit as the drink was definitely good! read more

Such a cute coffee shop! Ash Coffee is nestled within the Virginia Highlands neighborhood, and everything inside is super cute and aesthetic. They have tons of coffee, drink, and food options, and I tried a Joey coffee for the first time. The Joey is a mushroom coffee, and they add cream and honey. It was really delicious, although it was a tad sweet. The food options also looked really good, so I would love to try those next time. I will say, the wifi was down while I was there, but even that didn't detract from the nice vibes of the coffee shop. Visited a friend in Atlanta and she took me here bc it's her favorite coffee shop and it did not disappoint! The interior is so cute and cozy with lots of seating and trinkets for sale. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was delicious and I think I got an ube London fog/earl grey, I don't remember exactly but it tasted great. A really cool coffee shop! Reminds me of a Decatur Square novelty store with creative coffee(lattes, expresso etc.) and unique tea combinations. Come sit outside and enjoy the neighboring music school practice-while munching on the pastries (almond croissant, pretzel croissants are superb!) But also, feel free to get caught up in the store and purchase as many cute novelties as possible. This might just be my new favorite coffee spot! Ash coffee has the drinks, the food, and the shopping. Their walls are filled with eclectic goodies that are so tempting to take home. They have a beautiful range of wind chimes that make you feel welcome right when you walk in. As for the actual coffee-- I opted for a classic latte and thought it was great! It was also reasonably priced for the area in my opinion. The only con of this spot is that it is so small! You could tell that Thursday afternoon was a popular coffee time because it was packed when I walked in. Luckily I had a friend there to save my seat or else I would've had to do my work outside. The parking situation outside was also very limited for the time of day. I was lucky to snag a spot a couple feet away but definitely had to practice my parallel parking skills. Great ambiance! The cafe is an excellent setting for doing work, chatting, or just looking at fun and unique art/items. Service is good, and pastries/food look delicious. I have enjoyed all of the seasonal drinks I've gotten there, and baristas are good at helping you choose and customize based on what you like. Coffee is a bit expensive, but for a cafe experience, I'd say it's definitely worth it. Free street parking is available, but it can fill up at busier times. read more

Love this neighborhood coffee shop in VaHi! Finally got the chance to try it and naturally, they were super busy on Saturday morning. They have a small dining room with bar seating and outdoor seating as well. It felt very claustrophobic inside so we grabbed a table outside. There was a line to order but it moved pretty fast. They have both sweet and savory food items, if you can't decide like me although I opted for a pistachio croissant and my husband a hot honey chicken biscuit. Both were delicious but thought food was kind of on the expensive side. We also ordered a cappuccino and americano. Total for all items was about $40. Tons of street parking around. Probably the worst egg coffee & matcha latte I've had in a while. The egg foam was good/sweet, but once you get to the coffee, that was a different story. 100% not how Vietnamese coffee should taste. Tried my friend's matcha latte, and he was right; not good and you can taste the powder. Most matcha lattes add honey or syrup to sweeten the drink. This one was bland and you don't even catch a hint of matcha flavor. Our group could not finish any of the drinks... Unique coffee place (appearance-wise) but definitely not revisiting this shop. This is the most random but delightful coffee shop. First the coffee, I have the campfire latte with oat milk and it was GREAT. Balanced, not too sweet, overall great flavor. The spinach handpie was AMAZING. I could've eaten 5 of them. For the work and sip crowd. There's plenty of seating with outlets nearby. Music wasn't too loud so I could actually get some work done. I was there with a guest on Sunday. Our bill for coffees and eats was $47 plus tip. The entire place for seating was filled with laptop users mostly one person per table. Looking for an open table, one person got up and refilled her yeti with water from the spigot tap. No table inside. Outside, yes a table was free. But you can't carry food and drink and then open the door. Nobody from Ash tried to help. Two workers just stood around. In the future, no tips on my credit card, tips only in cash after there is some service. Ash needs to have a policy to free up tables after an adequate time consuming their drink and food. My hubby and I were on a quest to try a new local coffee shop. We stumbled upon Ash Coffee as we were driving through the beautiful VA Highlands neighborhood. I'm so happy we chose to visit on this Thursday afternoon. We were luckily able to find street parking right in front. Oh my goodness, this place is adorable! It truly has a quirky, artsy vibe and is the definition of bohemian. From the funky vintage art hanging on the walls, to the fun, artistic journals for the astrology lover- this place is whole vibe. We ordered two lattes and split a pastry. I ordered the Ube latte, which I think was seasonal. Soooo good! To top it off, we met one of the owners and she was the sweetest.
