Been here a few times, as it is closer to my house. I go here only if it is an urgency. Otherwise, I usually drive up to Towson and use the laundromats there. I second all the 1 star reviews. In addition to it, I have to say the following. I needed some quick laundry to be done on this day. On 10/08/2023 around 6:15 pm I went to this laundromat and inserted a new $20 bill that I got from the nearby ATM in to the change machine. (I withdrew $100 and got 5 of the $20 bills). The change machine gave out some quarters and then stopped. The orange 'Out of Service' light came up. The amount of quarters was way too low. So I counted it out and found that it came up to only $10.50. I addressed this issue with the attendant at the counter. He refused to acknowledge and said that I inserted a $10 bill and got more than what I had wanted! I did my laundry for one last time. I am never going back. read more

This place does what it's supposed to. It's a laundromat next to a gas station in a large plaza with other amenities. That being said, it's not filthy, the male employee is competent and the machines are working. There's a quarter machine, and the machine takes quarters not tokens, which is so nice because my building has a small washer for little loads, so I can take the excess change and use it rather than tokens that can only be used on site. On Sunday morning around 8am, my visit, it's busy. But lots of people just doing laundry. Not a lot of teenager sitting on tables, people smoking around, or kids sprinting around. It's really straightforward - People doing laundry. You may not always find your size of washer because it gets full, but there will be A washer open and there will be MULTIPLE dryers open. Straightfoward laundromat. I docked a star for the cost to wash. I paid $5.50 for what I would consider a 2-load wash. And I put 20 minutes in the dryer, or $1.00 and it was still moist. I think 30 minutes, or $1.50 would have been fine - which I accept. But the $7, $5.50, $3.75, and $3.50 washer machine options are expensive. The cheapest wash you'll get is $3.50 people! read more

Used to have my bf bring our clothes here and have them washed. I have some nice items in my clothing and all my robes have gone missing. They have a few female employees which work the morning shift and start the clothes but are gone by the time you need to pick them up. And the thing about a robe is no one can catch you wearing it because you only wear it in your home. 2 African print floor length robes and a furry pink robe were stolen out of my laundry- never going back. read more

The laundromat is clean & I like it, but my only complaint is that the dryers don't run hot enough & you only get 4 min of drying time for 25 cents !! You have to spend too much on drying & that's not cool when you're on a tight budget!! read more

The laundry spot is simple convenient. The parking is abundant. It's located in a shopping plaza. There's a grocery store, coffee place, auto store, pharmacy, Korean food spot, etc in the same plaza. It's never too busy like some other laundry spots so you will always have an open washer or dryer. Look it's nothing top notch as in decor or equipment... The bathroom is actually the cleanest dirty bathroom I have seen... let me explain. It's one of those bathrooms that in the past they would let non customers or anybody use it so it had it's share of wear n tear... Then they decided to put the bathroom under lock n key for customers only so it is in decent shape now. But anyway, I recommend this laundry spot! read more

This used to be a pretty ok laundromat with owners and employees who cared. They kept it updated and clean and installed new stainless machines just before COVID. It has changed ownership and it has become pretty gross. It's incredibly hot on hot days, the glass where the washer door meets the seal is often filthy with accumulated gunk, and the machines smell of mildew. The counters for folding clothes often have food grease and crumbs on them. I hadn't been in about 3 years or so and it's sad that this place is like this now. read more

Out of 8 people here I am the only one-other than the employee-who's wearing a mask. Will they be this lax in enforcing the rules once it's a city wide mandate on Monday? Don't be too deterred by my star rating. This place was OKAY but I have experienced better. Maybe typical for Baltimore laundry mats? They have the huge machines you can do up to 4 loads in. Some of the machines def need a good scrub or replacement. Some of the dryers had that musty smell to it and it wasn't the most cleanest place. On the bright side...the lady that worked there was really nice. She answered my questioned. Prices were reasonable but I don't think much different than another laundry place I went to. The big machines were $4ish and the cheapest was $2. They had big dryers that you could fit multiple loads in to. Oh and some random guy offered to carry out my laundry to the car. He then of course asked if I had any extra quarters. I'm not sure that he officially worked at the place or was just helping people to make some money...but he wasn't creepy and he was nice. read more

Abundance of machines and open 24/7, I love this laundromat. The large machines are great for if loads and if you don't feel like doing it yourself, they over a drop off service! $1 a pound for most things and they also do bedding! Sweet, right? Every employee I've meet after the year or so I've been coming to this laundromat has been kind and helpful. They greet you and make you feel welcome. I love this place! read more

The Spin cycle on MD Avenue needs to train a few of the employees on customer service like Ms.Penny(attendant) because she definitely does not know how to serve the customers.She never cleans the place outside of the store & spends more time sitting down on the chair playing with her mini-laptop as opposed to walking around to maintain the cleanliness of the place(bathrooms).She is lazy and needs to retire because other customers have complained about her lack of interest in doing a good job to service the customers.I needed to convert some change into quarters for the dryer one night and she gave me some dumb excuse why she didn't have any on hand and then later walked next door to a retail store and brought some back but didn't tell me she did so I had to go to other customers for change! read more

-BE CAREFUL WITH THE TOP LOADERS (they are the ones on the left side as soon as you walk in). So I've been here about 10 times and two of those times was a huge disaster. 1) The first time, we put our clothes in and when we pulled them out, they were all covered in streaks of some brown gritty material. It looked like either dirt or rust. Considering we don't roll around the mud because we aren't animals, I'm not sure where the brown came from. When we asked the attendant, she dismissed us and said that we filled it up too full. (It was only a half load with two pairs of jeans, a towel, and a few shirts). 2) The second time, I put in a load and all my clothes came out covered in BLUE DOTS on them. As if someone had pressed my clothes, with ink, against the drum in the middle of the machine. The attendant reimbursed me my money and gave me detergent to rewash them, but the blue dots did not come out. Anyways, after doing some research, it seems like some of their top loaders have not been cleaned in a while. I really can't risk my clothes being ruined for a third time, so will probably never go back. -Lots of TVs! Whenever I go, they're playing family feud or ellen. -Different sizes of washers. I usually use the cheapest ones ($3.00)- these are the single loaders and are not the front loaders. As a warning: don't overload them because then your clothes won't be clean. -Giant efficient dryers. For a large load, it only takes about 20 minutes or less. One quarter = 5 minutes. This is the main reason I come here because I hate when dryers leave your clothes wet even after 30 minutes. -Lots of flat folding areas. I like to fold all my clothes before I get home, because I know I won't want to do it once I leave. I've never had a problem finding an area to lay out my clothes. -I've been here around 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm and it's never TOO packed. But I will say that it's definitely more crowded on the weekends. They are also open 24 hours, which is a huge plus. -There's always someone working here, which I like because they monitor the machines, tidy up, and I've seen them shoo away people asking for money. -Use the bathroom before you come here. There's no lock on the door, and it was pretty gross when I looked in. read more

I go early, between 7&10am and it's usually not crowded then. They do wash and fold. It's clean; for a coin laundry. No hassle. I just wish the owner would crack a smile once in awhile. Biggest Pro: 24Hrs!! read more

I came up to this laundromat because I had two comforters to wash, and the one on St. Paul is "closed until further notice", whatever that means. They have a number of different sizes of washers available, which is nice if you have large loads. The prices are also not unreasonable. The facilities are clean, and they have a decent assortment of snacks. There's also an ATM here, which you'd think would come standard in laundromats, being primarily a cash-run business. I'll have to keep this place in mind for my comforter washing needs. read more

I used the drop off service ($1 a pound) and paid $25. Unfortunately, I did not leave a tip (read John C's post). Next time, I'll try to get the same guy and leave a tip. This is my first time paying for drop off service, but as far as I can tell the guy did a great job. I was nervous about leaving some of my most loved clothes with a stranger (no offense), but he did a good job. I'll do it again, and if you're running low on time or feeling especially lazy I'd recommend it. My clothes came out soft and smelled very nice. They were folded and put into a blue bag. read more

I was a loyal customer for a year because of proximity, price, and hours. Until they lost my clothes. Yes they lost half a load of laundry, for a full day, all the while refusing to acknowledge it, and instead blaming me! The awful lady at the front desk kept saying the bag was 10 lbs lighter than when we had dropped it off because clothes are naturally lighter after being washed. They tried calling the manager after we demanded it about 10 times, but he wouldn't even talk to us and said we should come back later in the week. Meanwhile there was no acknowledgement that anything had actually been lost, and nothing even close to an offer for compensating me for the clothes. Finally after hours of stress, arguing, and waiting for various employees to call back or answer their phones, in desperation I checked every single washer and dryer (no idea why the lady didn't do this herself). And of course I found the missing clothes sitting in a dryer. I don't think the lady cared one way or another, but she folded them for us and we left. Haven't been back since. Was there last night, asked for help finding a cab home. Guy running the place was nice at first but then suddenly decided to call the cops when I asked for information a second time. he could have just declined, but instead treated me like I was a criminal and even went so far as to threaten me and came out of the store and shoved me into a car parked in front of the store. I just woke up unable to move my body, my back is so injured it hurts when I move. I literally scream in pain with every movement. My hand is scraped and bloodied. I come to Spin Cycle since I moved in the neighborhood and I never wanted to look for another laundromat. The staff is friendly, a lot of different people come there and there always see to be washers open even when they seem busy. The place is a little ghetto but does the job and right down the street from me. Oh and they're 24 hours! read more

Even though I live close by, I was a little hesitant to use this laundromat because of the location on Howard and 20th (just north of North). This is definitely not in Hampden, don't know where that came from, it's Station North/Lower Charles Village. I was wary that it might be sketchy, but it's a totally ok safe-enough (by Baltimore measure) place. It's got plenty of washers and dryers, only a few out of order (and a repair was in process while I was there). If you have to slog through a lot of wash, it's a bright and pleasant place to be. On a Friday morning there were maybe a dozen other patrons -- neighborhood folks, race and class-mixed like the neighborhood is, and several student types. I did get asked for "gas money" from a shaky white guy who was doing the panhandler rounds, but he was nervous, polite and clearly just trying to get through his day, not there to harass launderers. The reason I'm making the effort to review the laundromat is that the staff really were phenomenally friendly and helpful to me. The pride of the owners and staff is super clear. I chatted with the worker who was cleaning soap dispensers, he was frustrated because he really wanted the machines to work well for people. The place was slow and the staff were keeping admirably busy -- they asked if I needed a hand several times. I had so many big sheets to fold that one of the workers (Asian woman, maybe the owner?) HELPED ME FOLD ALL MY WASH. WHAT? For real. Just to be nice. I had so many heavy bags that the dispenser-cleaning worker carried half of it out and helped me put in my car. I asked if I could give him a couple bucks for his trouble and he said "It's totally optional. Only if you want to." And I believed him, it was a no-pressure thing and I was grateful for the help. 4 stars because the dryers are a little expensive in my mind, 5 minutes for a quarter and I'm used to 10. The biggest machines, triple loaders, were $4.75 which is just slightly on the spendy side of reasonable. Other than the awesome workers, it's a pretty average laundromat all around. Still, Spin Cycle certainly defied my seasoned city-dweller expectations and made me reexamine my assumptions. I'll definitely use this place again. read more

the service sucks and i paid 22.70 for the drop-off service and extra dryer sheets and softner plus a tip and i took my clothes home to unpack them and my clothes was nicely folded and my clothes was not wash or had softner and did not use the dryer sheets that i paid for and i ask for a refund and she told me i have to see the manager in the morning.my clothes still smell like the way that i drop them off. im p off read more

Please DO NOT PATRONIZE this business!!! I have been going to this laundromat for the past two years, faithfully, every other week. They recently hired a man who works overnight and his personality is terrible. He is rude, never has any change, and he actually seems annoyed whenever you attempt to ask him a question. In the past there have been several employees who were quite friendly and very helpful. After my most recent run-in with Mr. Rude, I demanded the number to the owner and notified him that I would be making a complaint about his rudeness. He smugly offered me the number in which I immediately called the owner. After several rings I finally got the voicemail. I left a lengthy and detailed message regarding my concerns. Until this day I still have not recieved a return call from this guy. How Customer Service is that??? It's a shame to be treated in such a manner when you are spending your money. The last time I checked, those machines, electricity, and employees are benefiting from OUR hard earned dollars. When a business owner fails to address his customers concerns, it's time to find another laundromat. I have also told several of the people who frequent there to take their business elsewhere.
