Took some suits here that were decimated by cat hair. They were quite helpful and prompt. Dropped off on a Friday, picked up on the next Friday. 2 suits, a tux, pans and sports coat ran me about $70. I don't leave reviews often but I had a great experience and wanted to give them a shout out. I brought them my wrinkled, dirty wedding dress there to have cleaned. They were friendly to me from start to finish and gave me fair warning about losing some beading. I was nervous but appreciated the warning. Anyways it took 3 weeks and when I picked up my dress it looked almost good as new and not missing any beads. I think the price was more than fare and they gave me a first time discount. To top it off the guy carried my dress to my car which was extremely helpful since I had my arms filled with my 2 year old! I guess if I had any suggestions it would have been nice to receive a good quality garment bag since it's a wedding dress. However their price outweighs that and I can go bye a bag myself ! After reading through many reviews I decided on Federal Hill Cleaners~ I called yesterday evening to see if I needed an appointment for alterations. She said that I could just drop by whenever, but that mornings were usually easier. Dropped by this morning and was greeted by a couple (Soo and Han .. I think from what my friend told me) behind the counter~ both were very nice! I found out that they knew a fellow classmate! I was surprised that they remembered his name lol The visit was short and sweet. I changed into the dress (with the shoes I am planning to wear), she pinned the bottom very quickly/efficiently, I paid and then I was out! The price was very reasonable too! I have been coming here for a few months for dry cleaning needs and have been pleased with the service. The price is a little higher than I'd like to pay but in a city where quality isn't necessarily top priority, I will pay a little more to make sure I'm getting quality work. At my first visit I was given a 10% discount so if you stop by make sure you mention it's your first visit. This past week I decided to put a little more faith and trust in the staff at Federal Hill Cleaners and had them alter a bridesmaids dress that I need for the end of the month. I was nervous to say the least since I haven't seen their alteration work but when I went in for the fitting the dress fit like a glove. SUPER friendly!!! I took a bridesmaid dress here to get altered, and they did an awesome job and were really nice people, making it all together a very pleasant experience. I dropped it off about 1.5 months before the wedding, which I suggest because it can take a while, and they finished it within 3 weeks. That being said, I did overhear them talking to a customer who walked in on a Friday with a suit that needed to be tailored by the NEXT DAY (poor planning), and they agreed to have it done in 24 hours. I'm not saying that anyone should do this or expect this, but they did say they could get it done which is great service. The quality of the alterations were great, and price was good. I had to have a decent amount taken in, and in various places (it's a complicated dress) and overall it cost about $67. I think a more simple dress would've only been about $30. read more

Went here to get my jeans hemmed and they did a great job. The lady was super nice and easy to work with to ensure my hem was exactly the length I wanted. The quality of the stitch work was perfect and it was a quick turnaround-- only a couple of days. Price was reasonable and yeah not much else I can say. After reading different reviews of dry cleaners, I brought my wedding dress here to have it cleaned. They were very nice and professional. Their work was also amazing. They were able to get grass stains out of my silk dress and sewed part of the underskirt back together which I had ripped. They really went above and beyond and were very gentle with my dress. When I moved from Harbor East to Federal Hill 2.years ago, I needed to find a great dry cleaner. I wear suits for work so I have several shirts and slacks to clean every week. They do great work. I have taken the covers to my sofa in and they come back looking great. I have not had a need for any alterations so I cannot comment on that part. Federal HIll Cleaners is definitely my go-to dry cleaners! I work in a professional office environment where the dress code is always business casual, so I'm frequently at the cleaners. My options on my side of town (Pigtown) is ZIPS Dry Cleaners and they have a horrible reputation not just at the surrounding locations, but seemingly everywhere in the Baltimore metro area. I previously had been going to a cleaners close to BWI, but stopped once service started to decline and when I eventually found Federal Hill Cleaners. My first time here, I pulled up to 10 min parking right in front of the store. Niiice. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. I really felt at home here right off the top. I was even given a 10% discount for my first order. They really take pride in each order and it shows once you come back to pick up your stuff. Each article of clothing is cared for and looked over thoroughly before it's wrapped and returned to the customer. Great Service. I went in as a first time customer not knowing the usual turn around is 3 days, but I needed my suit in 36hrs. An hour after I dropped it off I realized I actually needed the item in 12hrs and contacted them again requesting to pick it up uncleaned. To my surprise when I went to pick it up at 5pm the item had been cleaned at no additional cost. They wanted to extra more for cleaning/pressing a women's oxford shirt (very generic white button down shirts - no frills). When i told them i wanted it cleaned/pressed no different than a man's oxford shirt they refused and said the shirts were too small for their press (i'm 5'11", so that's BS). Do they charge extra for men's small shirts? i doubt it. I tried this place out because of the good reviews, but i'll stick with my old cleaners who charge based on service, not on whether you are male or female. read more

This past weekend was my wedding weekend and they were able to take a 'bride' shirt that was made for me and perm press it and meet my fiancé near our home since I had forgotten to pick it up before the shop closed. I recently went in a as a first time costumer to get two bridesmaids dresses altered. I have been getting things altered at various locations but went here because it was closer. The pricing here is not fair for the work that needs to be done. I was charged over 150 dollars to get to dresses altered, one had to be taken in and shortened, the other just shortened. They charged me over half of what I what I paid for the dress just to shorten it. While they did give me a 10% discount everything was still overpriced. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. read more
