Yes, Turtles has all of that-and I'm so glad I found it by accident. I was restless one Friday and pointed the car south. I didn't plan to go to Siesta Key that day, but when I was in that area-and realized how long it had been since my last visit, I had to go. I tooled around a bit on the northern end that I'm more familiar with, then headed way south on the Key. That's where I found Turtles. With its beautiful setting-and a big ol' parking lot, I was immediately sold. There was lots of seating inside-with its happy, coastal vibe, but I chose the outdoor patio-which has two tiers-one covered, one not. It was late spring and I knew the days of comfy patio dining were coming to and end for awhile, so this was the time. Besides-it was even closer to the water. I ordered fish, which was fine... and a rumrunner, which wasn't. I will definitely switch up my order next time. The service was kind-but maybe a little slow. That's ok. You're so enchanted by the ambiance and so chill, it doesn't matter. This was instant vacation, less than two hours from home. Every glance in every direction was postcard pretty. I called Pat and she was so friendly and helpful. She explaining the different kinds of wedding ceremonies she performs. We opted for the fastest, due to our budget restraints. She was really sweet and said she wanted to get to know us so she could make the ceremony special for us. She said she usually meets with the couple to get an idea of their personalities but due to the short time frame and scheduling conflicts, on our end, we decided to do a video call. Pat was warm and friendly on the call. She felt like a family friend right away. After the call she emailed us questioned to answer about each other and our relationship. It was fun homework. We emailed her back the answers and she then responded with examples for vows which were beautiful. The day of the wedding it was forecasted for 90% chance of rain. The wedding was on the beach and we had no plan B so I picked up some waterproof mascara and eyeliner and said a prayer. It stormed and rained cats and dogs which delayed the set up, we had our reception in the beach also, but thankfully it cleared up just in time. Pat was early and super positive about the rain. When we finally got set up and it was go time and Pat was wonderful! She spoke loud enough and clearly for everyone to hear. She was funny at the right times and sentimental also which we will treasure forever. At the end she included all the guest which was sweet and fun. I highly recommend Pat!

Private club and ratws 10/10 course, three 18 holes and all perfect, all drinking water and unlimited cups, amazing greens, super friendly staff and beautiful 2 driving ranges at the main course with free unlimited new Titleist golf balls, amazing club house, amazing food for less money if you can get in. Lely was $165. After 11 am. on golf now and free range balls, free water bottles and amazing condition at Mustang. Note- I will advise tomorrow on Stoney Brook...better be amazing at this price. Lots of great public courses (Arrowhead $150.; Spanish Wells $140.; Valencia $130.; Lely $165; panther Run $130....just saying)

This is a really nice course. They have twilight hours so you can golf til it gets dark!…read more The course is set up as 3 nine holes so you can combine any way you want. Marsh. Creek. Oaks. All three are gorgeous and well maintained. I was genuinely shocked to show up at 5:30pm and be able to get 15 holes in before dark. There was no one in front of me!!! I stopped by again the next day to play, around 5pm, and I was able to finish 18. This time, I ran into a kids lesson- so the instructor said to skip two holes ahead and come back and finish at the end. I also ran into a group of 2 but they hustled when they saw me coming. The twilight price is $57 and change, which to me, is nothing, but compared to courses nearby, I can see why people don't come here. They can play for $35 or even $26 at other courses. However, you get what you pay for. This course is really great. Lots of nature. Challenging. Water stations and clean bathrooms throughout. On the earlier night, the shop had a rack of sale items outside. I wanted to take a closer look but didn't- wanted to start playing. Maybe one day I'll go back and buy something. Ladies stuff looked nice. They have a chipping, putting, and driving range near the club. Carts are comfortable , no GPS. Courses are easy to navigate with signs on where to enter and exit the fairways. I like this idea- keeps the course nice. I found a lot of lost balls while playing, especially in the water. Homes line some of the holes and I got some applause while playing haha. I would recommend this course but then again, I don't want this secret getting out. I hope this place stays empty cuz I like playing fast!
