Wow had my first class today and it was so fun! Hadn't sweat like that in a while! Because the music is so loud and everyone is pedaling around you it gives you the boost you need when you want to give up. The instructor is also super energetic and there's a few other instructors that come in at the beginning of the class to help you arrange your bikes. The class is done in very dim light which helps you as a beginner because if you are shy noone can really see you. The place is clean, offers towels and lockers. There's also showers. Felt like it was a mix of biking, boxing, weights and yoga at the same time! Totally recommend if you want to try something new.

Amazing studio. Everybody is so nice and the classes are amazing. Love the cold scented towels. A very nice touch.

We found Energie Cardio on Google Maps and I'm glad we took the time to go check it out. The front desk team was super nice and helpful, especially Marie Laurence-- I hope the management recognizes what a great employee Marie is. The gym itself is kept spotlessly clean, has every machine you might need for either cardio or weight training, and I went at multiple times over the course of several days and never found the gym to be too full or crowded. The changing rooms are clean, hot showers and plenty of lockers (bring your own lock). I didn't have a chance to try any of the group classes here, but they were very popular so if you're into classes you'll love Energie Cardio. Highly recommend this place. Great gym. Prices are very reasonable for long or short stays (they have weekly passes). And hopefully if you go you'll cross paths with Marie Laurence because she's just the best!!

I have been going to this gym several times per week for about a year and a half. It seems that…read morethey have good machines and cardio equipment in the training room, but I go there almost exclusively for group classes. Instructors are awesome: well trained, competent, fun, and open to discussing any question you have after class. A lot of people attend the classes regularly, which creates a friendly atmosphere in the room during classes because they know each other well. The locker room and showers are clean. There are smaller lockers for rent if you want to go there often and leave a few items (e.g., a towel, a pair of shoes). For those who prefer to get their workout in before going to work, It's pretty much the best place in town: they have one or two group classes every weekday before 8am! They also offer classes over lunchtime and in the PM/evening. No group classes on the weekend, but you have free access to other centers in the network to get your weekend workout.

Cardio Plein Air is a business that organizes outdoors training in parks across the province. I can…read moreonly base my review on the training that goes on in Parc Lafontaine (Montréal), because that's the only one I have tried. The one type of training I have done with them is "Cardio Poussette" (Cardio Stroller). As the name suggests, it is for parents who want to (or have to) bring their baby along to their workout. It takes place all year round, but in winter time, you have to take your kid on a sleigh (but I only did the summer session). Cardio Plein Air also offers other types of workouts for adults on their own and for children, but I have not tried those. For Cardio Poussette, each session lasts 1.5 hour and occurs twice a week (unless you pay for a VIP membership, in which case you may go more often). We get to do cardio-oriented training, and at the end of each session, we do some tonus exercises and stretching, using a mat and elastic band that we carry around during the workout. The fact that it is taking place in Parc Lafontaine plays a large part in my positive rating: it is a beautiful park, it is large enough that you don't have to go over and over again along the same path, and it is well shaded, which is much appreciated on hot summer days. One downside, however, is that it is so large that it is difficult to find the group if you arrive late and people have already left the meeting point. One positive point is that the three instructors I have met are well trained, nice, flexible, and they provide feedback to participants to help them do the exercises correctly. Overall, I really enjoyed meeting other moms; it is a good way to make new friends. I think 1.5 hour is a bit too long for many babies (I would say about half of them handle it well, but mine needs to feed or to get out of the stroller and move around before the end). I am in pretty good shape, and I feel the workout is challenging enough. They welcome children as young as 2 weeks old, and although it seems like a pretty intense workout for new moms, it is always possible to bring it down by just walking instead of doing the squats, skating, etc. with the group. Overall, I'm glad I signed up!
