Often times there's no soap in the soap dispensers in the men's room, the men's urinal, there's only one, hasn't been working for six weeks, machines breakdown and they don't fix them, and pads where you put your legs or arms are totally worn through the viny! deep into the padding, and it will stay like that for months, and still nobody is replacing those. Absolutely pathetic. EDIT: I finally canceled my membership here, but they kept charging me, and when I would reach out to ask for the manager, Josh, I was always told he was busy or not available. I spoke directly with the assistant manager about the situation, he told me he totally understood, and he would personally work on getting my refund. When I called for him again, I was told that he moved to Tennessee to take over a Crunch Fitness gym, but when I would call to ask if he would follow up on what he promised me he would do, I was told that he was in training for a few weeks and I couldn't speak with him. I found out that his brother was a manager at the gym in Tennessee, I left multiple messages for him, I spoke with multiple people at that gym, and I never could hear back from anybody. I finally went into the Madison Wis. location and spoke directly with the new manager, Josh, he said he would take care of everything by that Friday, in four days, but weeks later nothing had happened. I emailed and called the facility a total of 22 times, and my money was finally refunded to me. And this was months after I had cancelled my membership...

The men working here are extremely condescending and disrespectful to women (from what I've seen). I also don't think they ever deep clean the gym. I remember there were hand marks that stayed on the mirrors for months before someone eventually wiped them. And there are countless stories about people going through the steps to cancel, only to find out that they're still being charged months later. Go check out their Google reviews and pay attention to how the Owner responds to people's concerns. It's very rude and weird. Overall, they don't care about your experience at the gym, they only care about the money they're getting from you. It reminds me of this popular quote - "Corporations behave like they're annoyed that they have to go through you to get to your money."

The heavyweight lifters corner still smells like the worst smell in the world you can think of. I see they have a private area for women so they don't have to endure sexism. Except for figuring your membership cost out in two minutes to be everything you've gotten in your pocket.

You get personalized attention and you have the entire gym to yourself during each workout session. I have a very demanding work schedule too, but Rob always works with me to make sure I get the exercise I need to stay healthy and reduce stress. It has all the equipment with staff to help, has good classes with a lot of interesting and friendly people, many of whom are still there a decade later. It lacks almost entirely the annoying lot loud, inconsiderate types I have seen in other places. They pricing is very competitive and I even got my non-athletic wife to work with a trainer and now she has started with it for a year and a half, which is surprising and important fitter our family as we age.

Only critique is I wish there was a bench press/stand alone barbell that wasn't a part of the smith machine.

They have a special of 2 6-week sessions for $140 so it's a pretty good deal. This class definitely helps you be more comfortable in your own skin and become more confident. I could see that in myself and in a lot of the other women in the class. The studio itself is one big room with 8(?) poles evenly spaced from one another. The mirrors are a little wonky so sometimes is hard to see yourself. There are changing rooms before you walk into the big room and a bathroom on the very opposite side of the entrance. No outdoor shoes in side and you can be barefoot or in socks while in class. The 1 hour classes would start with check-in (which sometimes took longer than needed) and about 5-10 minutes of stretching. We would then go over what we learned the week before and learn 2-3 new spins and a sequence of lap/floor/chair moves and then the last 5 min or cleaning your pole and stretching. Our instructor Melissa was great. Really friendly, super knowledgeable about all the moves. 1 hour to practice and then remember was really difficult for me though. I felt like it was not enough time to really perfect the move and grasp the choreography. I'm a perfectionist and wanted to practice it until I got it down. We learned a routine on the last session but I feel like it would be fun to learn a routine at the end of the every class or do like a routine add on with each class so that you could keep re-practice the moves week by week. They do have open pole hour for you to come in and practice but they're right at 5 or 6pm. Right now during Covid-19, they are offering virtual donation-based classes which is great for those lap/chair moves! I'm excited to start Pole 2 and keep honing in my skills!

I was a member here for two months. I enjoyed the workouts thoroughly. They were rigorous and…read morechallenging but at the same time work for people of different fitness levels, for example you can power walk, jog, or run but you constantly focus on pushing yourself. The entire workout consists of jogging and running on the treadmill, rowing, and doing weight lifting exercises and stretches in the weight room. They are month-to-month so you are not locked into a long term contract, however there are some intricate rules with the month-to-month membership. I enjoyed seeing my heart rate and results on the monitor and use my heart rate monitor from OTF at my other gym to log my workouts. I would recommend this business and location to anyone. They have very energetic, positive, and supportive instructors and the atmosphere is overall quite nice. The main reason I discontinued my membership was because I already have another gym membership that offered interval training classes, so I didn't need an extra membership. Otherwise, I probably would have continued!
