Not suitable for main bank account! Alerts no longer offer any useful information. Alert Email says only login to view, NOT WHAT ALERT was triggered. Can't view because App no longer run on my phone. PURE CRAP!! Blaze app quit working on phone. Just says having technical problems try later. 6 weeks and it's still doesn't work. Also use Wells Fargo, a superior app that allways works and it's fastest way to deposit checks. Old Spire App was buggy, now the blaze app doesn't work at all. Giving up on blaze. Blaze Apps, App will not load on phone Android 10, assume 10 support removed. Worst app!! I use, WF, Citi, AmExp, Apps on phone, Apps & Alearts all work great! Thinking about closing Blaze account. OK for onsite banking with driveup window and ATM, not suitable forelectonic banking for me. read more

Went in to re-finance my 2018 and was told since they changed over to Blaze they only re finance used cars 2019 and up.

Absolutely the worst service. I will never use this credit union again. Tellers are rude, bank management is horrible, lobby is a mess.

Been a member for 17 years, several car loans and savings over the years. Just found out my account has been emptied by Spire taking $7.50 per month because I haven't been using my account enough and I received no notification whatsoever. I was told it was in a disclaimer on a 2015 statement which I don't get because I was encouraged to sign up for online banking, I would have to log in and search for the statement, and if I wasn't using the account, why would I do that? Credits Unions are supposed to be a safe place to invest money, Spire used to be that way, now they steal it when you are not looking. Asked if they would do the right thing and refund my money they took and they offered to refund just one fee of $7.50, they are keeping the rest. Lesson learned, account emptied, please be careful if you bank with Spire. read more

What can I say? We were looked to obtain a lower interest rate on our mortgage. This place was close by and and offered 2% less than what we were currently at. This kind of grown up stuff intimidates me but it was fairly painless from the forms that needed to be signed to the home appraisal that needed to be completed. As we had procrastinated in doing this and were on a time crunch I am happy to report that all was finished in time and we now have a lower monthly payment. Thanks, Spire! Oh, and they have a lovely fish tank in the lobby with my favorite fresh water fish, gouramis. read more

This review is not directed toward the Eden Prairie Spire. Just Spire in general. Idk where to begin but we've had nothing but problems from the very beginning. Started an account here after a recommendation from a family member. I was very appreciative of the $100 from Spire just for opening an account but once we told our banker exactly what we were looking for in a bank including loans, interest rates, and mobile deposits we were promised Spire would be able to give us what we need so we decided to open the account. Unfortunately they couldn't provide us with what they promised. No loan and mobile deposit is no longer working. I now have to leave work early to make deposits at Spire. I was told about the deposits at Spire ATMs and found the list of ATM locations online. I drove to 2 separate locations and there weren't Spire ATMs nor was I able to make my deposit. I have emailed my banker twice about this and never heard back. I don't know if she doesn't work there anymore or switched locations again but I've basically given up and will accept that i have to do things the inconvenient way which is exactly what i didn't want with my new bank. Unfortunately I started an account to have credit cards consolidated and Spire does have very low rates which is about the only reason I'm staying with them. I just went online to set up a payment for my Visa card and their online Visa system isn't working at this time. Looks like I have to drive another 20 miles to the nearest Spire on my day off just to schedule a payment. Might as well make a deposit while I'm there too. read more

A credit union with the goals and mindset of a bank. Yes, if you are looking for a low pressure, member focused credit union you best look elsewhere. The employees are under a lot of pressure to sell products and services and since people don't use credit unions to be sold things, many employees don't meet their goals and so it is a revolving door when it comes to employees. If you want a credit union that thinks like a credit union, there are many in town... Spire just isn't one of them. read more
