It was supposed to be used for our Zombie costumes, but I brought my dad along for the ride and he got himself a sweet vintage-inspired hat and mustard colored jacket for the Yelp's Drive-In party that night. I didn't get a chance to check out the old location, but the newer location is on the ground level and two doors over. It was kind of small but the place isn't crowded. They had a decent selection of Halloween costume stuff and great hats, jackets and dresses for theme parties. The only problem is that prices have gone up. The jacket and hat were $13 after rebate. I remember a day when that probably would have been the price or lower without any coupons. It's still affordable though. Check them out! The customer service is great too!

After 2648395 rounds of internet searches & follow-up phone calls looking for one highly specific Ben Nye product, I found Norcostco -- and they're RIGHT HERE! An independent, local business that has All The Things! (I mean, they're not exactly "right here" for us -- I have to drive across the whole #%&! metro to get there -- but it's *so* worth the trip. Your high school reunion is coming up and you want disposable tableware in your school colors? Yeah, they can do that, too. Party City also shines brightly around Halloween, providing ready-made costumes AND components for the DIYers out there. (I got my sexy Babadook top hat, gloves, and makeup there this year and will be getting some nice wounds next year.) This is conveniently located on Excelsior (as long as you're driving the right direction--it's only accessible if you're headed eastbound), and there's always parking available. The prices are on par with what you'd find at other stores (and a bit better in some cases), and the selection and service quite good. You might not find everything you want, but you will probably come close.
