Didnt see any but with the woods it can happen.. you park in a field so potentially muddy. Its a walk around place so dress accordingly hat, gloves scarf layers ... maybe look into heated vest gloves and or scarf. There are buildings selling things like Christmas ornaments, decorations and food. Bought hot chocolate outside that was barely luke warm. They had porta potties that had awful smell and thankfully didnt need one. Lots of lights and selfie opportunities. Be kind and offer to snap pics for families ... mom always the one taking them and never in them. Lovely huge bonfire to warm up at. Its a pricey place but I think its great. They close early than posted time. I saw some people entering thru the exit. We drove 45 minutes id have been aggravated to get there and not get in when it was at least 30 minutes before closing time. The posted closing time is 9 which seems early. But by 8,:30 they stopped letting people in. They dobtake reservations and give 5 off. No discount for military or veterans Loved the toy train room and the light up arches. There is an outdoor train. You pay extra buy tickets. This is best on nights its not super cold. Definitely not raining or windy. After a rain the mud is real both for walking and parking. Some cars get stuck. The mud everywhere is a huge problem... use some of the profit to invest in gravel and straw to help make this less a show after rain.

The lights themselves are underwhelming and many are not working correctly. There just isn't really anything to do once you're inside.

I have 2 little girls and told them both about it- they were so excited to see them. When asked about it they had no idea what I was talking about, or if any characters would be available. They also advertised a train, which was broken, and being worked on the entire time we were there. The "passports" that acted as a guide to the light show ran out as we arrived. Were the lights beautiful? Sure Were they worth the cost? Absolutely not. Want to see beautiful lights this season- try the zoo or Coney. Both are much more cost effective and just as beautiful. Hope this helps.

First off, the price took away a star-100%. Way too expensive for what it is. I don't know how families with children could possibly afford this. I paid $70 for 3 tickets and that was with a discount code and a senior price for one of the tickets. Walking up to the Duke Center, the place looked closed. Very little to no signs around telling us where to go. And no crowd heading in this direction. Once inside, it was still confusing. The sign pointed to go to left for Lumaze but the usher pointed right, lol. Once inside the doors to the event, it looked very closed off and small. Not every welcoming at all!! I gave it a three because 1. Once you're in the lighted area, the displays are beautiful. 2. There are LOTS of photo opportunities! 3. A few interactive exhibits for kids Not that anyone is asking, but if it were up to me I would make a WOW factor as folks come in the door and maybe spread the exhibit out a little so it doesn't appear so closed off.

They brought the lights, timer and fasteners; arrived when they said they would; and are clearly not afraid of heights. My house looks like a Christmas miracle and it was well worth the price - especially considering how high they had to climb. I was so impressed with these guys! They will take the lights down for us in January, too. Although I love the way they look so much, I can't imagine ever wanting to take them down! I'll be sad to see them go. Highly recommend the Light Before Christmas team to ice out your house next holiday season!

Quoted price was half of my year-round landscaping company (January removal included.) Called Monday 12/5 and lights were up by Friday 12/9. The contract stated $50 charge for filing a credit card dispute - but I crossed that line out. So far, so good - will update! On Jan 2nd a small section burned out, because it was after the holidays I didn't ask for a repair. Lights were taken down after Jan 4th. As stated above I refused the credit card dispute line but they were willing to do business anyway. Reasonably priced company, did a good job putting up and taking down.

If you've longed for a more vintage holiday experience, it would be hard to top the Metamora…read moreChristmas Walk. The Metamora Christmas Walk is an annual tradition in this tiny Franklin County town located along the Whitewater Canal and seemingly untouched by all the razzle-dazzle of pop culture, contemporary tech, and more commercial Christmas experiences. I wouldn't so much call the Metamora Christmas Walk "fun." It's more heartfelt. It's a low-key, casual experience with lanterns lining the canal and lights adorning nearly every business in the village. The Metamora Christmas Walk starts the day after Thanksgiving each year. The shops stay open until around 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays and the only real charge is a nominal charge for parking. Of course, there is shopping available at a variety of unique shops. There are fire barrels glistening in the night sky that is largely devoid of anything that distracts from the beauty of the surroundings. The Metamora Christmas Walk truly looks and feels like a traditional holiday experience. If you look carefully, You might even see Yelper Rick G. and his wife Holly G. in the village as he pastors a Metamora church called Boundless Ways of Grace. People are friendly here. There is technology, though internet can be spotty can even most of the shops emphasize more folk/Americana items than the kind of things you'll find on Amazon. This is a fairly easy drive, though the road here can be a bit winding and rural so having familiarity, gas in the car, and a charged up phone would be a good idea. That said, I'm not the most comfortable driver. Metamora is a historic village with multiple buildings on the National Register of Historic Landmarks. The entire area is about 218 acres and actual population is right around 410. Yes, 410. Metamora was platted following the establishment of the Whitewater Canal in the 1830s. The town is named after a popular 1829 play, Metamora, or The Last of the Wampanoags. I will note that accessibility is not perfect in Metamora. It's a very historic town. While some stores are accessible, others are not. You can see virtually all of the lights and there are accessible pathways that allow for passing over the canal from one side to the other (though at least one of these paths is seriously steep). The Metamora Christmas Walk is truly a step back in time to quieter traditions of Christmas. It's great for families, though not really "busy." That said, children who love lights will love the village. It's actually a wonderful place for older couples and even for a trip with the grandparents. I'd dare say it's even a fairly romantic holiday tradition to begin. I don't do the Metamora Christmas Walk every year, but when I do I am completely dazzled by it.

Ha..you know..you get what you'd expect from shopping at a store like Halloween City…read more A decent selection of costumes and Halloween related items at extremely outrageous prices. And they always take over the vacated locations of failed retail stores. Always casts a depressing light on the shopping experience (ie: remember this used to be a Circuit City? I loved Circuit City. I miss Circuit City. I wish this was still a Ciruit City :( (not talking about this location specifically, just saying that's how it generally is..not sure what this location used to be..it's next to the super Kroger..I can't remember..oh man, I've been talking in the parenthesis for a while now..and I think I'm in a parenthesis of a parenthesis at this point..need to get back to the review.)) Anywho, I shopped at this location the Sunday before Halloween because I am always a last minute shopper. Everything was pretty picked over. All that was left was some super expensive crap, and some moderately expensive crap. I went with the moderately expensive crap..and it had an additional discount attached to it because they were trying to get rid of it. The cashier looked depressed to be there (didn't blame her..she was going to be out of a job in a couple of days). She didn't know how to ring up the discount..she called someone over to help her..they did something and walked away..the item still wasn't discounted..she called her back over and they finally figured it out. Fun times. Anywho, I don't know, shop here if you're lazy, would rather pay more than have to go bargain hunting for Halloween crap, and feel like walking around the corpse of a failed retail shop..I guess those are my take-aways from shopping here..I dunno. TWO STARS!!
