Now, they've been in this location for several years. I've even heard they are open during non Halloween seasons. They have the largest selection of costumes and Halloween accessories in Lexington. Everything is well organized along the walls. Even though they didn't have my size, I found what I was looking for and I liked that I was able to try it on. Too bad it didn't fit. After trying on the size that they carried, I ordered my fit online. I appreciated the fact that they allow you to try on. I will mention that the fitting room attendant was super awkward though. He was glued to something on his phone and finally pointed me to the very first fitting room. No thanks. I walked back a bit further only because I felt better to be further away from him.

I mean I guess you never know when you need to stop in and grab a quick costume for some cosplay or some event or even some role play. I do have to say it was really great being in here and not having 10000+ people running around buying stuff at the last minute for the holiday. You have to kind of look around to see if they have what you are needing or looking for. The worker here was helpful and answered any and all questions we threw at him.

This past weekend I was in a rush and was in need of some Minecraft balloons ... ya know, as one does. They immediately showed me what they had, which worked perfectly. And I was out the door with three Mylar balloons and half of a dozen of regular balloons in less than 10 minutes. I used to have to pick up balloons a lot when I planned events, and I know the time suck that can come from someone slowly inflating several balloons. That was not the case at all here. They were friendly, and asked me questions about when my party was to determine if the balloons needed to have Hi-Float in them to last longer. I also got to peek at the rest of their selection. For not a huge space, it is chock full of party decorations, costumes and more. This is a great spot to go when in need of some extra party pizzazz!

There was room after room of costumes, props, decor, spooky animatronics, and more! Some of the items are not for sale, having been handmade by a store associate to make their customers smile. Prices are fair and aligned with other sources. They do allow you to try on items which is nice. Some can be more expensive and you'd want to be certain they fit well. Besides costumes they have a ton of accessories and party themed decor. Parking is a bit tough. There's very limited space next to the building and much of the street parking is metered or a pay lot. Around Halloween it can take a few passes to find an available spot. No food or drinks allowed inside so leave them in the car.

I went shopping a few weeks back with my 5 girls and some friends when we stopped into this shop. The building walking in will Give you big time nostalgia vibes. Lots of oldest clothing styles and vintage items to browse in this two level shop. The men's department is upstairs and the costume rental area is in the very rear. When back there be sure to look in the rafters for some old school child terrorizing animal mascot heads that are fun to check out. On our trip here my oldest found a 50s retro looking swim suit that she fell in love with. It was reasonably priced so we made the purchase. Overall a pretty cool shop that was fun to browse and brought a blast from the past feeling for me personally. Only strange thing was there was rack with an old uofl mascot hoodie my second oldest wanted but it wasn't priced yet so they simply said "not for sale".

I needed something akin to Edwardian summer whites to match with the rest of the group. The first peaches and cream dress Joy pulled from the rental racks fit like a glove.
