Another CDMX gem and we are obsessed…read more The bread with ant butter is a must. My husband did not tell my niece and me it was made with ants until the very end of the meal. We were shocked. We had also loved every bite. Ha. The tagliolini with lobster. Maybe the best lobster pasta we have ever had. Pasta al dente perfection, lobster cooked just right, not overcooked the way it usually is everywhere else. The tagliatelle with Italian sausage was lovely. Manila mango salad, perfect. The quail was an unexpected find and so good. Service top notch as you would expect from a Michelin spot. Whimsical little covered courtyard with gorgeous natural light. So intimate. Now one of our favorites too. Five stars.

We decided to try the restaurant. I've done quite a few Michelin or James Beard restaurants, and I must say the service was far from what it should be. They seemed annoyed and dismissive. The table next to us was talking how they had altitude sickness and took their water bottles out to take a sip. The staff rushed over and took the water away! Told them they could have it back after their meal. I've never seen or heard of such a thing. Wine list was subpar and was hoping to have more wines from vineyards in Mexico. We each got different dishes and didn't try each others. (As I'm plant based) We all three were terribly sick the same night on our second to last day of the trip. Yes, the restaurant is beautiful but I definitely think there's far better Michelin restaurants and Michelin mention restaurants in the area.

Honestly it's not that expensive and the Italian sausage here is imported from Italy itself. The employees here are very friendly and are great people over all. The owner of this place seems like he's very proud of this place and I could see why. The lettuce and strawberries here are grown here and everything is fresh. I wish I could come here often but I live in California but I'll come here every chance I get. This place deserves more recognition and is a great place overall. Please spread the word of this place!

We don't drink so most of the other places lining the strip seemed like loud drinking establishments. The menu listed Salmon and so we being salmon junkies took to it. It was fabulous... not medium but ever so slightly under cooked as it, and pasta should be. The salad was wonderful as they hydroponically grow their own lettuce on site. We were greeted by a wonderful man named Aldo who was the proud owner and incredibly engaging. His people were from Italy and their is a story to be heard if you ask him about his grandfather renting his home to Trotsky while he was in exile in Coyoacon. A little out of the way, use Google maps if needed, to find it! Well worth the effort... Also try the Tiramisu, it was light, fluffy and not too sweet!

They serve us focaccia bread, pretty tasty, and some (way too salty) fried onion pieces. To eat, I had pasta alla ruota con truffle oil. Absolutely amazing! Creamy and filling. They give house focaccia bread with onion crisps and butter! That was soo delicious!! Everything together is *chefs kiss*! For appetizers we got the arancini Nero which was the squid ink risotto with octopus inside! It was so good!! We also ordered the mozzarella and tomato which is like a caprese salad but served hot!! We also got the gnocchi with Gouda and the de fungi pasta! Both were sooooooo good!!! It looks so simple but it's packs the flavor!! Also got the octopus risotto with the side salad. We were thinking that maybe we will skip the side salad because we have so much food, but we tried it and it didn't disappoint!! The dressing was so simple but so good!! Of course we also got the fig pizza and that was also *chefs kiss* as well! Everything from the fig, to the Gorgonzola cheese, to the honey and arugula, and down to the pizza crust were all sooo well put together!!! Last but not least, we also got the tiramisu!! It was a must!!! Even though we were so full, we had to get the dessert for the full experience!! The restaurant was really nice and had a great date night feeling! It's like you just stepped away to Italy for a little bit while having dinner! Workers were friendly and some spoke English as well so we were very grateful! Overall one of the best experience at an Italian restaurant!! If you're in the area, definitely check them out! You will not be disappointed!!
