They came all the way to Gillette several times to try and find the leak, they ended up taking it back to their shop in Rapid City and found the shell had a crack. After finding out the shell had been manufactured thiner that it should have been and the crack had just gotten worse, they worked with the manufacturer for me and I ended up with a brand new Jetsetter LX! Sand play area within the pool enclosure is a nice break from water play, and the park nearby (same parking lot, just next to the pool enclosure) is a great wind-down and dry-off after an afternoon of swimming. In addition to swimming here recreationally, we are currently doing 4 weeks of swimming lessons at this pool, and after 3 weeks so far, I'm so impressed with the staff and program.

My kids were older, so I didn't notice how well it was set up for little guppies! The City does a great job with outdoor pools, and there is a very adequate lifeguard presence. My kids liked the westside pool better than this southside pool, but both are just fine. There is also a lap pool on the north side of town, do a computer search for "Rapid City public swimming pools" to get their hours etc.

Thank you for keeping it real! 25 cent lockers and entrance for the day is about 13$ per person. In the town I now live in this place would be 45 per person a day. The facilities are nice and activities are varied. Plus the water temp is nice- not too cold, but rather perfectly refreshing. If you haven't tried this place yet and have kids, just do it!

We drove 50 miles to take my girls swimming for their birthday just to show up and have them say they're at capacity and we can't swim. Kids were crushed. Kicker of it all, it wasn't no where near as full as the first time we went. It's a great atmosphere otherwise.
