I have used other trainers in the past and this is by far the most progress I have seen out of my dog, Skippy. Before skippy was always pulling on her leash but now is starting to walk by my side. We have done about 3 classes so far and plan to do more! I can't wait to see how much further skippy can advance. Reminder you also have to put in the work. It's been over three months and I can officially say, she has become our best trained dog ever! I am so glad I made the decision. I have never experienced ongoing training that includes classes throughout the week on a flexible schedule. Because of this flexibility, training has easily become part of our routine (we go about 3 times per week). My puppy looks forward to it as do I!  Fidelis K9 also offers Good Canine Citizen (GCC) certification which we are currently working towards.  Most importantly: a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Alejandra and Antonio, the trainers, who I feel are the heart of the training facility. Stephanie was super helpful and gave us names of other recommended sitters, as well as providing information on their boarding services. She genuinely seemed like she was more interested in making sure our dogs were taken care of than getting us to spend our money with them specifically. I brought my dog to her home, she checked him out, we talked about wants, needs, concerns, goals, training plan, cost etc... we decided to do her in house program where she has your dog stay with her for a month and is trained the entire time. Ursula sent us pictures and progress updates daily, it was great! Our dog was not just trained but also taken care of and loved his entire stay there. When the month came to an end and our dog's training was done she delivered him back to our home and did a 2 hour training session in our own home to show us how to continue to handle/train with him. He was very obedient, calm and content. We are very very happy with The Skilled K9 and cannot recommend it enough to those looking to take their dog to the next level of training. He now has a very solid foundation onto which I can continue to build at home. I was initially considering another training place before I found Sierra dogs. Come to find out, not all trainers are created equal, as they were going to use a shock collar on my puppy. I couldn't even believe it! Eden and her employee Jess use a positive training approach....encouraging good behavior with rewards and praise and discouraging the unwanted behaviors by re-focusing the dog back into a desirable behavior. Because Blue lived with her at her clean, puppy-safe home, she not only taught him the basics but also more advanced training like recall and "leave it". She incorporated day-to-day living into his training, teaching him the skills needed to be a generally well behaved 7 month old puppy that actually respects the other small dogs in our household! Her large fenced property allowed for plenty of appropriate play time and socializing with the other Sierra dogs in her care including her own beautiful huskies...Luna, Vesta and Francis.
