I came here to get a balayage and and add a copper color with Nila. I asked her for a few things for including doing a test strand, starting closer to the scalp, and focusing on the non bleached sections. She rejected my requests because she did not have enough time for me, even though she explicitly stated she would at the time the appointment was set, or because there are extra costs, even though I had already agreed to paying them. On top of this, the color noticeably faded after the first wash, which was 4 days after the service. I paid about $120. This includes the extra $25 for toner. What I received does not look like balayage to me. I have chunky highlights on top, and the remaining 3/4 looks about the same because she re-bleached my previous balayage but somehow it barely lifted. This could be due to the fact that my hair was dyed black years ago but she also didn't ask about previous work I had done. The placement is very sporadic and "crazy" as she put it. The original price for this according to Groupon was almost $200. She was also rude and spent time trying to debate about everything I asked for instead of using that time to make sure I was getting my desired look. She reiterated that if I didn't like it I could come back at a later date. Why not just put in the effort to get it right the first time? I ended up using a semi permanent color for the time being until I have it redone. Only because yelp is asking, the vibes were wrong. I'm done with Groupon. read more

1st experience with Nila was fantastic! 2nd experience was TERRIBLE! She said the haircut we showed her was an old lady haircut & she cut her hair the way a young lady's haircut should be cut! Thought I found a stylist that listened & could cut hair just like the picture we showed her. However, sadly that wasn't the case. I should've canceled whenever they called asking for me to be there way earlier than the appointment cause she wanted to leave early. Found a Groupon for highlights, a wash, deep condition, cut, blow dry by Andrea for $75. The last time I had my hair done (at a different shop), while I liked it very much, I was shocked by the $150 bill, especially since I'd had it done at the same location where the master colorist who previously did my hair charged me far less (but didn't save my card or info and double booked the appt so had another gal do my hair - figured those were clear signs I'm not a valued client). So I really needed to find a new hairdresser but wanted to keep it in a reasonable to me price range. Andrea did a great job, was friendly, interested and interesting and made the experience nice. I dropped a star because it was way too hot in the shop (clearly not any fault of Andrea's). The A/C is not adequate to keep the busy shop cool enough for me. Got a Groupon for a hair straightening treatment 2 months ago. My stylist did not do it correctly, my hair was wavy and went back to its frizzy self after I washed it 4 days later. My stylist kept repeating that I just didn't like my hair but her manager agreed over the phone that she didn't do it correctly. I wasn't upset then and scheduled a redo a month later only to have her cancel on me literally an hour before my appointment, citing a family emergency. Understandable, but she never contacted me after that. Another month went by with me pursuing my aloof stylist, trying to find a good day before I gave up and just got my refund through Groupon. 1 star for very unprofessional handling of the entire situation. I wasted a whole day and driving through traffic for nothing, I wasted a month waiting for a redo, I wasted another just trying to reschedule. read more

She's very fast, I got the perfect highlights and cut in no time! She's a doll and VERY affordable!!! I found her by chasing down a woman with beautiful hair in CVS and that woman had chased down another woman 7 years ago in the Kroger's parking lot! Now that's the best way to find a stylist...chase the women with great hair down and find out who they go to!!! I came into the salon after a bad hair color and stripping from another salon. I was pleasantly surprised when the owner came out during the consult to make sure that we were going to be able to correct the color. My stylist Nila took extra care and time to make sure that my color came out correct. The owner came by multiple times to check also. Three hours later, my hair turned out perfect and I'm very please with the color. I will definitely be returning for my highlights and future hair care. Also, the brand of products they use Loma is awesome. I'll be returning for that too! read more

I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance and drove 25 minutes to find out that my stylist was off. Poor, poor, poor customer service!!!!

I bought a keratin straightening treatment though Groupon and Nila was the stylist. While she was pleasant enough, I knew immediately that she wasn't using enough product. She swore that she knew what she was doing so I trusted her. But having had keratin treatments 2x per year for past 7 years, I know how it's supposed to be done and what the end result should be. When I washed my hair 3 days later, my hair looked as kinky and frizzy as it did before. I went back to salon to speak to Nila and her manager kept trying f to tell me that it was fine and that's how it's supposed to look. I firmly disagreed and they finally agreed to redo the process free of charge. So I went back a week later for a redo. This time nila used more product but after another 3 days and a shampoo, my hair is frizzy. I will never go back to this place and I wouldn't recommend it, either. read more

Found this salon through Groupon. I booked the day of and came in for a quick trim and bangs. Nila took care of me. She was very nice and quick. She cut my hair the way I wanted her to, not the way she thought would look best (which is what a lot of hair stylists do, causing me to have horrible experiences!) There weren't any forced conversations- thank goodness! I would definitely recommend this place and I would come back. read more

I'm new to the area & looking for permanent stylist. Called to schedule an appt with the League City location after driving by but only offered the option to schedule with the stylist that answered my phone call at the Webster salon. Was quoted a price of $35-$55 for cut & style. They use non-sulphate shampoo which is great. I described in detail the cut I wanted---it wasn't a big change. After the cut & blow dry I pointed out the back wasn't as I would like & stylist dry-trimmed back & sides. The cut wasn't anything to write home about but was fine for my 1st visit. I understand it takes 1 or 2 cuts to get to know your client. I was charged the higher rate of $55, I'm assuming because I asked the stylist to refine my cut. I've paid that for cuts at high-end salons, which this is not. My visit was 45 min. After washing & styling at home, I noticed some long pieces that the stylist missed. The stylist was more concerned with moving me along than keeping me as a regular client. This salon did a nose-dive instead of making a SPLASH!! read more

First visit to Joe. Saw a review and he sounded like he would be good. I went in for color and a cut. The color he used did not match and when I asked him for "some layers", he took half of my length (my hair was down just below my breasts) and layered it up to my ears and took the other half of the length and just left it long.
