You can do a guided tasting or just look around and sample some flavors on your own. If you're thinking "why would I need flavored oil and vinegar?," you haven't tried it yet! This place is upscale. Like, real, real upscale. Unlike certain other upscale places though, I think there is a legit quality difference. You can sample any of their oils, vinaigrettes, or other items. Which means that you will inevitably find something that you like and end up paying some money. In my case it was an espresso/blood orange mixture (you have to buy a bottle of each), which is, to put it bluntly, amazingly tasty. Their service is very friendly--they'll tell you about all of their stuff, make mixes for you to try, and generally ensure that you are well served. read more

Fantastic first trip to Splash of Olive and Kelly's Market. I found this on Yelp. Convenient location in Decatur with free parking in the back. Excellent selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegar. Mimi the owner was so helpful, knowledgeable, & professional. I bought a mix of four bottles after doing several tastings. This is now my go to store. In addition, Kelly's market has fantastic sandwiches! Shopping with lunch is a must! read more

Updated - Second time is a charm. I gave this place a second chance and I'm glad i did. This time i was greeted by the owner and she was great! Very inviting and spent alot of time going over the goods in the shop. So much so that I'm looking into having a tasting event there with friends. I will definitely be back! Previous review- I live in Decatur and I drive past this place often. Many times I've told myself I need to stop in here because I love olive oil and different vinegars. I read reviews and was excited about stopping in and picking up something new. Well who ever was working the counter that day must have been in a bad mood because I did not receive the warm welcome I read about in other reviews. If anything it was as if I was doing them a favor being there. I gladly support the businesses in the city of decatur but I won't be back to this store where I felt unwelcome. Another couple came in and was there all of a minute again no warm welcome. Sorry Splash of Olive you lost a customer in me. Really disappointed. read more

A good friend of mine introduce my daughter & I to this adorable new shop in Decatur. I can tell you right now I'll be going back for sure! Rebecca the owner was delightful! She walked us through all the olive oil's and balsamic vinegars. We got to taste as many as we wanted. We mixed and matched flavors such as a blood orange olive oil & dark chocolate balsamic and it was amazing! We both ended up walking out with a bag full of goodies! These would make such wonderful teacher, hostess or Christmas gifts. I learned so much in such a short amount of time about the health benefits of olive oil and balsamic's and about different ways to use them. Who knew you could put balsamic over ice cream! Splash of Olive has only been open for a month but I have a feeling they're going to be around for a long time! This is definitely a must try! read more

I just discovered Splash Olive in Decatur and loved the place. instead of ordering my olive oil from Italy, I am definitely shopping here from now on. This is a tasting room for the most wonderful olive oils and balsamic vinegar ever. I bought the Blood Orange olive oil and the blueberry balsamic vinegar for myself, and stocking stuffer samples for Christmas stockings for my grown sons, and a hostess gift of Tuscan olive oil and Blood orange vinegar. Adorable shop in Decatur, perfect place to get an unique gift just in time for the holiday. Olive oil infusions that are so tasty, you'll want to try them all. I have bought some wonderful olive oil here in the past. Went in today to buy some holiday gifts and every time I tasted something I liked they were out. Very disappointing. Why have me taste something that isn't available? Better communication with customers would be nice. read more

After returning from our three country European vacation, my husband and I were sad that we didn't bring any olive oil home with us. I went into the store with no expectation...just looking for some Spanish olive oil. Rebecca greeted me, we chatted, she explained the process, the olives, the varieties of tastes and the differences between infused and fused. I was incredibly impressed at how knowledgeable she was first off and just impressed with the number of items for me to try. I walked out of the store with 3 bottles, one Spanish olive oil, one fused rosemary olive oil and one bottle of lavender balsamic vinegar. If you're looking for olive oils and someone who knows olive oil + balsamic vinegars inside and out make sure you check out Splash of Olive. Great experience! I stopped by looking for Spanish olive oils and the owner was very nice and extremely knowledgable about the different olives, the regions they come from, and when each olive is in season. I was pleasantly surprised and excited to hear everything she had to say about the different oils. She worked with me in finding one I liked, even though I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for. After sampling a few different oils and vinegars I decided on one and also got a sample box. This place is great and I will definitely be returning during the different seasons to try new products. I stopped by yesterday afternoon on a break from work and I'm so glad i did! I was greeted warmly and tried so many yummy samples. The owner is such a sweet lady, and she knows her stuff! Friendly customer service and the lady that greeted me definitely knew her stuff! While there are only 2 bottle sizes, I've been to other places where you could get a sampler size, I already had an idea of what I was going to get so it wasn't an issue.
