The answer my questions they let me feel like I'm in somebody's Italian home Butcher I saw so many things my eyes blew up, but I knew my wife would kill me because I saw steak. I saw a lamb saw venison. I saw pasta, different little spices and rubs that you can use. The place is clean it's organized. Everything is labeled so you know what it is if you are a cook like I am this is the holy Grail. We came in to pick up some nice steaks for Christmas dinner. This is a great, albeit expensive, specialty shop. In addition to all of the meats you would expect at a butcher establishment, there was also a nice selection of cheeses, breads, olives, etc. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted with our selections. They also explained that they can get most cuts of meat in a matter of days if they don't already carry it. We enjoyed everything we ordered, including the Serrano ham which was sliced right in front of us - it could have been a bit thinner but she also cut it by hand using a humongous knife. I wouldn't say it was the best meat I've ever had but it was high quality and the shopping experience was also pleasant. I'll be back for outside skirt steaks! read more

Before we even walked in, we were impressed by the box of masks at the door and the sign requiring people to have a mask on- they're taking their customers' safety seriously! The interior design of the store is modern and warm, and gives off a very different vibe from most other butcher shops that are a stark white color. The selection of meats was obviously great, but we also liked the variety of seafood, oils, charcuterie add-ons (cheese, cured meats, jams/sauces, peppers/pickled items), and spices. There were plenty of staff available to help us select our cuts of meat and check out. Overall the price to value is good; we got about 1lb of A5 and American Wagyu for about $145. This quality at a steak house would've cost us quite a bit more, and we can have luxury cuts in our own home! read more

This is one of the best dinner parties of all time! When we got there to decorate we were welcomed by all the staff. It was apparent they were ready to accommodate us in any way they could. When we arrived everything was ready to go. Ashley, our bartender and keeper of every need we could come up with, made sure we were served and ready to enjoy our amazing tuna and beautiful charcuterie board. The atmosphere is very upscale, professional, but also very warm and casual. The side room is a beautiful kitchen where you can watch the magic happen. Chef was awesome and had a wonderful personality to go with it. I cannot say enough about how great the food was. All in all, this was one of the most unique and wonderful dinner parties/celebrations I have ever attended. Stopped in today to pick up a brisket for the holiday weekend. Decided to come here instead of Publix because we figured we would be supporting a small, local business, and we thought we would receive top notch service. Asked for the brisket to be split into the point and the flat. The person behind the counter stared at me as if he didn't understand, but assured me that they could do that for us. After all, we are at a BUTCHER, right? When the employee came back, the brisket was merely cut in half. The point and the flat were now in two pieces, but still together. The two packages lined up in a perfect line where it was cut. I paid over $120 for this prime piece of beef and now have to try and salvage this at my kitchen counter. I think I'll stick to Publix going forward. At least they will actually butcher the meat I'm purchasing. read more

Highly recommend. We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner in their private event space for 20+ people and it was a wonderful experience. The dining room and open kitchen are adjacent to the retail space but feels special and intimate. The menu options available were wide ranging and easily customizable. I came in town a few months back for a work trip and needed to take clients to a dinner. Thankfully I'd been waiting for just the right time to try BBS. We reserved the private dining room and had an experience my clients will never forget! We ate delicious food, drank amazing drinks and they even allowed us to control the music which turned into a post dinner dance party. We were able to tour the actual shop and I can't wait to come back and be able to try some of the amazing things I saw. Sad I don't live in Atlanta or I'd be there once a week! read more

Buckhead Butcher is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. We have tried their fresh turkeys and frozen capons, as well as their fresh anchovies and wagyu hotdogs. They also have an interesting selection of condiments, especially the sauerkraut mustard and the onion mustard. Service is prompt and pleasant. They are open on Sunday, which we find is the best time to shop there. Highly recommended. read more

The Buckhead butcher shop is just what the Buckhead area needs!! They have amazing choices of the highest quality meats, seafood, and all the sides and accessories you could ever need!! Their prime rib-eyes are some of the best steaks I have ever cooked and the Chilean sea bass is top notch. On top of their very extensive menu their customer service is great. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable about the different options they have. The quality of their product is pretty decent. Recently picked up a Wagyu short rib plate which goes for $33/lb. When you are trimming well over a pound of fat off the top and bottom of the plate, it becomes very expensive. You can order online and save a chunk of change in the process. read more

Finally, a quality butcher in Atlanta.  They have Japanese A5, Australian Wagyu (Carrera, my favorite), and domestic dry-aged prime beef.  Additionally, great seafood, cheese, and some specialty items like foie gras.  I moved back to Atlanta from San Francisco about a year ago and was disappointed in the lack of higher-end meat purveyors.  There are a lot of online options but I like to see the cut I'm buying and prefer to buy what I want to eat the day-of vs planning in advance. read more

I ended up spending way more than I inteded after finding so many items I have not been able to pick up before. Staff is super friendly and helpful. This addition to the neighborhood - really, to Atlanta - is fantastic! BBS differentiates itself not only through the quality of their offerings, but also differentiates itself by the depth and breadth of knowledge of those who helped me through my purchases. Danielle, a chef, not only gave me ideas for preparation of some of my items, but answered my call the next day when I couldn't remember her directions for preparing the duck confit. The rack of lamb is spectacular, the duck confit made me feel like a successful home chef (I opened the vacuum sealed back, put the duck in a skillet with the sauce, and voila!) Another great option are the vacuum sealed vegetables, including avocado halves. Why has no one thought of this sooner?! They defrost quickly and keep well, and they're a great veggie to have on hand in the freezer. Another option is the quick in-and-out to pick up delicious cheeses and cured meats, which I grabbed for an impromptu social distanced afternoon tea. For a little gift for myself, I picked up a sample box of seasoned salts (which would be a great hostess gift) and some gourmet chocolates for my husband. Buckhead Butcher Shop is a unique, almost intimate, shopping experience. I love it - it's my new go-to treat! read more

To be clear, I did not personally see the our purchase, but our gift recipient loved everything. We wanted to send an assortment to a friend in Nashville as a thank-you and birthday gift. We have eaten together at dozens of fine steakhouses throughout North America and Europe, and have eaten his grilled dinners numerous times. I'll just say he's a master of the Green Egg and I'm only a journeyman of our Weber. I talked to Danielle, got her suggestions, and placed an order for two beef tomahawks, two bison tomahawks, two spinalis, some NC ribs, and some Spiceology rib rub. She called the day the order was to be shipped and said she just wasn't happy with the tomahawks they had received. She suggested either changing our order or waiting a few days for their next shipment. We decided to wait. Danielle called a few days later and said the newly received tomahawks were beautiful, but huge, and suggested we only send one each of bison and beef, plus the rest of our selections, to stay near our initial budget. Just after the order shipped, a big ice and snowstorm hit, delaying COVID vaccines as well as our order. It was delivered a day late - of course the fault of no one. Our friend called five minutes after delivery and was thrilled! They have since grilled the tomahawks and spinalis. He said they were the finest cuts of meat he's ever had. He's not one to lavish undeserved praise. Danielle and Katie gave excellent, personal communication and Buckhead Butcher Shop sells top quality products. Our friend is always difficult to buy for but I think we've found a solution. My wife and I can't wait to go there and shop for ourselves. Obviously their prices aren't as low as grocery stores or Costco, but are reasonable, considering they offer far better quality and selection that can't be found elsewhere. read more
