Look for the green house on the right a little past SALT on your left. I've been frequenting OV for the past 13 years. Originally, I shopped at their Vinings Jubilee location until the close and since then I've been shopping at this Roswell location. ++ Ambiance is a warm, intimately organized high end EVOO, fine balsamics and epicurean market. It's a gourmet cooks', especially Italian food lovers' dream food shop. +++ High quality variety of northern and southern hemisphere EVOOs and aged 18 years balsamics from domestic and global sources. OV's balsamics are CLEAN, made in the traditional solera style with no extras. They offer many fine infusions that are pretty much drinkable. My favorites are their Mediterranean blend and Cobrancosa EVOOs, grapefruit white balsamic and espresso dark balsamic that is absolutely incredible on vanilla ice cream. Their grapefruit white balsamic is delectable on salads. You can taste all the vinegars and EVOOs with tiny plastic cups so it's easy to figure out what you like. Beyond the oils and vinegars, they have a good size market. Much is from Italy such as fine dish towels and specialty pastas. More over, they sell silver and gold pour caps, hand blended seasonings, accessory dishes, jams etc. They also sell local artisan foods such as Mission sourdough breads and Voga gelati. On this visit, I brought a friend who recently moved to Atlanta and is needing to stock essentials for his pantry. He scored many oils, vinegars, pastas, pour caps and gifts. I discovered their white truffle infused oil and couldn't part without taking a large bottle home. It's my first white truffle infused oil I've liked enough to buy. It's made withOUT any extracts and is a smooooooth yet intense white truffle flavored EVOO. I've already got a recipe in mind for this finishing oil :). My friend also got a bottle as well. Oli + Ve is one of my favorite places for hostess gifts and for holidays. +++ Service is friendly and helpful. The owner is often present and is warm and informative. She has an amazing attention to detail and I think even Martha would have a difficulty finding faults. For example, they sell candles but each sample has a glass cover so they wouldn't overwhelm your sense of smell for customers who aren't interested in them or comingle scents for those who are interested. I am a big fan of vinegar, not so much of oil, but I did have a lot of fun trying all these in this little shop off Canton. It is in a small little house looking shop, with a picnic tables and seats in the yard. They sell artesian oils and vinegars which are great for people who love to make unique salads or exotic cooking. I love that it is a tasting room environment so you get the chance to try before you buy, which is important when you're getting something with as simple of a difference as onion olive oil or shallot olive oil. We will likely buy oils and vinegar from here in the future, but it was also a fun thing during the day when you're in the area. read more

This is, without reservation, the best olive oil and vinegar store I have ever visited. And I've been to quite a few. The shop subtly resides on the main drag of downtown Roswell (Canton St), and the exterior seems to understate the size of the indoor space. There are (at least) four separate rooms: One for olive oil, one for a variety of vinegars, one for condiments, and the main room at the entrance with a panoply of cookware, tchotchkes, and sundry items. You will experience flavors you didn't know existed. More importantly, you can experiment with combinations that you wouldn't find elsewhere. And the staff is more than willing to disseminate its knowledge and expertise based on your preferences. Prices are very reasonable. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. read more

Got to know this place for a yelp event I attended to this past Thursday. Olí+Ve is located in Historic Roswell and they're known for their Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOO) and balsamic vinegars. They also have a lot of olive oil based skin care products and foods which was very interesting. The tour consisted in two parts: the olive oil and the balsamic vinegars room. We were separated in two groups and were taken into the different the rooms. While Alexis explained us the different uses and possible combinations for balsamic vinegars, Suzanne let us taste different olive oils. The olive oil room wasn't as tasty as the balsamic vinegar one. My absolute favorite was the peach white balsamic and I'm definitely coming back for it. After the tour, we had a little picnic outside where we got to taste different dishes made with at least one product they sell at their store. The Caesar, and the pasta salad were fantastic. Thanks to Kellie M, Suzanne and Alexis for organizing and guiding the tour. Definitely very educational. It can be a little hard to find parking in this area but there's plenty of parking behind the store. What a fantastic shop located in the cutest downtown area of Roswell. I've visited Oli + Ve on two separate occasions but during the most recent visit i had the chance to learn about the shop, the oil and the delicious vinegar. My gosh do they have a wonderful assortment of products. I learned that olive oil is fresh for 6 months after it's crush date (which you can find on the bottle, usually), vinegar doesn't go bad and the pomegranate balsamic vinegar is SO good. I was overwhelmed with choices when i was there so i picked up some popcorn that i plan to season with some olive oil, and obviously that pomegranate balsamic vinegar. I can't wait to go back and binge on some olive oil this time!! read more

When you see that 5 stars, you should know that I'm not much of a cook. Even so, I give this place the top marks, completely for the experience. I wandered in off the street with my parents, having no idea what to expect. We were entertained for a solid 90 minutes. Now I would keep this place in mind as a 5th date spot for a woman who is into cooking. From a relatively unassuming exterior, you wander into this place, one of the charming looking houses-cum-stores on Canton St. To be fair, the exterior does say exactly what you will find inside, but you may be surprised if you've not heard of this sort of store. In the front room, one finds a staggering number of olive oils. Arranged from mild to strong, you can taste each and every one. Be sure to just do a drop, and the proper way is to slurp the olive oil. Make the noise and impress your date with your knowledge. Next is the vinaigrette room. Again, you are treated to a huge selection, of which you may sample any number. Personally, I favor the fruity ones, and could not resist purchasing a couple of bottles. Again, I don't cook much, but I wanted to support this place, and they were SO good. I won't attempt to sway you one way or another on which are the best, but DO try a few flavors on the ice cream the staff provides! So that explains the name. Olive oil and Vinaigrette. In addition, they have a small sort of gourmet food room, in which we also made several selections. We got some great pasta, and again got to sample a few things. Definitely a great spot for an impulse purchase at the end of all the samplings. I confess once more to not being a chef, so I can't speak with authority on the pricing. For a product with this level of presentation and quality, I can only say that I cannot imagine these prices as high. Considering the experience you can have here as you're having a charming stroll down Canton St, I say you shouldn't leave without a bottle or two for home. Just walk in the door, and these ladies will show you the ropes if you're clueless (like me). I had a really great experience at Oli & Ve while shopping for Christmas gifts. The store is well-organized and provides a thoughtful, easy process to sample the products. There are also plenty of gift options already packaged and ready to go, from traditional flavors to several that are more adventurous and exciting. I have been to the Oli & Ve location in Vinings once before to buy a gift and decided to come again to the Roswell location for some Christmas gift shopping. I was extremely pleased with the experience. The Roswell location is really nice with several different rooms and a large selection of various olive oils and balsamic vinegars. All have taster bottles with small plastic cups so you can taste before you buy. The selection and quality is superb. The service is also outstanding, with a real friendly staff who will help you make a good decision. The olive oil and balsamic vinegars come in real nice looking bottles and make real nice gifts. The Roswell location seems a little bigger than the Vinings location, and there are other gourmet type food items for sale here. I like the fact that there are several small rooms for you to browse through, each with a different type of merchandise. They have great selections for gift giving, with some packages pre-made and ready to pick off the floor, and they also tell you what vinegars go well with which oils, to make your buying easier. This time I needed to ship my gift to California, and they gladly took care of that. I bought the gift on a Saturday, and was so pleased to hear that it was received on the next Monday, just two days after I bought it. The shipping was only $15 and they used USPS priority mail. This store is well worth a visit if you're looking for a gift for people who are in to fine foods or to splurge on yourself. read more

I was near Table & Main with Chef Justin White walking around when we came across this unique Olive Oil & Vinegar store. I have never been to one of these! We walk in and the staff is immediately helpful and explained how it works. We sampled many many, many many, different types of olive oil and vinaigrette until we found the perfect one. I found the perfect gift for my mom who wants to try new olive oils and vinaigrette. When we were checking out, the staff even made it presentable as a gift for me! This store was a win:win. While waiting for them to gift wrap my present, we did a puzzle that they had for us to work on. If you're going to check this store out, I would give yourself at least 30 minutes to fully be able to sample and look at all the different products they have. We come in so much that the owner even recognized us out at a Yelp event they were attending! They have such a large selection of different olive oils and vinegars to try, the possibilities in the kitchen are endless! They also have local crafts and artisan food items to accompany you oils and vinegars. The owner at the Roswell location is super sweet and knowledgable about what mixes well with what. I too stumbled upon Oli & Ve while working in the area. From the name alone you are intrigued to enter and find out what the heck was an Oli & Ve! Upon entering I met Owners, Susanne and Deborah who gave us a complete "world" tour! I LOVE this place. As a foodie, the products are amazing and you can only get this quality of product from this establishment! Each room has its own special treat. When you walk into the Infused Olive Oil Room, you have brownie treats that have been made by the EVOO & Flavored Balsamic that is sold within the store. When you walk into the Balsamic room, you are brought vanilla ice cream and asked to sample any of the many flavors over the ice cream. It is a party in your mouth! Then you walk into what I call the Market Room, where you have hand crafted goodies that are all locally made. For example, Almond butter and wine jelly. Yes... WINE jelly! I also love the inexpensive price point and when you bring a empty bottle back, you can refill it with a new product and save $1.00. The idea is one of a kind and the experience you receive is top notch! I've brought at least half a dozen folks back just for the experience alone. I stumbled upon this place after walking off lunch one afternoon and came away throughly impressed. First the products: The sell a wide array (has to be over 50) olive oils, balsamic vinegars, spices and rubs, almond peanut butter and the like. When you walk-in someone will guide you through the tasting process. They have three main rooms for tasting each with its own wall color. They have a corresponding sheet that matches the wall color and lists all the oils and vinegars per room. Each oil/vinegar has it's own tasting bottle which you can pout into a paper cup and either drink or tab some bread in. The first room is traditional olive oil ranging from heavy to light with subtle flavors in each. This was OK, there is a lot to taste, so we started to get selective based on the descriptions. The second room however was all the flavored olive oils and this room was great. After trying everything we settled on a basil olive oil and we love it. The third room, is by far my favorite. The balsamic vinegar room has flavors up and down the spectrum and when they brought out a little ice cream to pour some of the fruit flavored ones over, I had just bought two more (The wild blackberry and the pear/cinnamon). The almond butter is incredible and we even purchased some rubs that we have yet to use. When my mom came into town, we took her here and she loved it. All the oils are the same price, three different bottle sizes to choose from, go check it out! To Recap: The Good: The 2nd room with the flavored oils, the third room with the balsamic vinegars (the wild blackberry is a must over vanilla ice cream), and the almond butter. This place is a foodie's playground. Their flavored oils and vinegars are insanely good. My favorites: Garlic olive oil- I love garlic, so of course this is used in everything I ever make. Blood orange olive oil- This is great in salad dressings (I also use it in homemade lip balm) Truffle oil- Delicious and a little goes a LONG way. Very easy to overutilize. Butter oil- (Fabio accent) I can't believe it's not buttah. This is great for health food lovers who miss the flavor of butter. Pomegranate Quince vinegar- this makes the tastiest reductions even more tasty. Also great in salad dressings, or (lightly) drizzled over grilled peaches. I also bought some cilantro and roasted onion that has a very perfumey flavor when cooked. I like it in sour cream + garlic powder + salt + lime +small drizzle of honey ...it makes a great sour cream aioli (and is kind of amazing on chicken tacos). Prices are a little steep, but it IS in downtown Roswell, which seems to charge a 20% premium once you step foot it in. Quality of products is excellent and staff are very knowledgeable. I. Love. Oli+Ve. On a beautiful spring day, I played hookie from work, (do people still say that?) and we headed to Old Roswell for lunch and a stroll. (Man, I sound like an old woman...hookie, stroll...) After lunch we walked down Canton Street and were so excited to go in to Oli+Ve! My parents gave us a bottle of the Espresso Vinegar a while back but had never actually been in ourselves. We were greeted happy by the ladies that work there. My husband and I were shown how the place works....yummy olive oils and vinegar's, cups for sampling...We had such a fun time trying everything! The oils were delicious and were all over the place with infused flavors, mushroom, citrus, rosemary. I'd like to set up camp with a bunch of french bread and stay a while. We finished with the oils and made our way to the back room where the vinegar room is. The young lady gave my husband and I a small cup of vanilla ice cream to sample the vinegars with. It was amazing! We couldn't decide on what we were buying and ending up walking out with several mini bottles to keep in our lives.... Please go. Please. It is such a fun experience! read more

This is a wonderful olive oil and vinegar-specializing boutique nestled comfortably in the heart of Historic Roswell, just off Canton Street and directly across the street from Table & Main. The plentiful selection has to be the largest I've ever seen in one place, and each of the infused offerings authentically captured the essence of the flavor from which they had been named. My personal favorites include an olive oil embodying the spicy, pungent tang of Harissa, as well as as a balsamico infused with the flavors of fresh tangerines. I came in and picked up a gift for family, to give ay Thanksgiving. I found their ready made gift sets to be perfect. I got a small bottle of spicy pepper evoo and a jar orlf dynamite pepper paste to go with it. When i gor to the counter, I was surprised that the gifts sets weren't specially priced. There were a lot of other products in the store to choose from, but most of the other products can be found at other stores, too (savannah honey among one of them). While this store is a fabulous growing trend, I was extremely disappointed in the customer service from one of the two owners. I live in Roswell and was excited to find out through Scout Mob about Oli & Ve. I went into the store and the owner's husband was so very nice and helpful. However, when I asked about the details of the Scout Mob, the owner walked up stating the Scout Mob was only for the Buckhead location which she also owns. She stated she would not honor the Scout Mob in Roswell as they "need more people to shop at the Buckhead store." Not only did I not understand the concept of not supporting a customer who lives locally in Roswell and is standing in their new store for the first time, but even more so of what I did not like was that she seemed so pretentious in my opinion. I left the store and ordered the olive oil and vinegar from "LeRoux" which I had visited in Martha's Vineyard a few months prior. I also discovered another Olive oil & vinegar store "Blue Ridge Olive Oil Company" on our recent trip to the mountains of Blue Ridge, GA....they were sooo nice! All of these stores basically sell the same olive oils & vinegars, just some have a little different selection and they put their store labels on the bottle. Some of my favorites so far is the 18 yr aged balsamic, jalapeño vinegar, garlic olive oil, butter olive oil, blueberry vinegar, etc. Overall, if the one owner (of two ladies) that I interacted with stays out of the customer service and allows her husband to run the store instead, they would be much better off! He even took the time to chit chat about their new home they are building. She on the opposite hand made me feel like I wasn't good enough to shop in the store. read more

Part of a welcome nationwide trend to open olive oil stores. This store is an excellent example of the genre. Extensive collection of olive oils that range from mild to full-bodied, balsamic vinegars and infused oils and vinegars. Prices are uniform and there are 3 different size bottles available (small, medium and large). The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. Tastings are available for everything in the shop. The location in Roswell is excellent. After a nice meal at one of the local establishments or perhaps shopping at the art places nearby (yes, I do need a painted monkey and some candles!) you can stop in here and pick up some wonderful oils and vinegars. Talk to the staff. Explain what it is that you eat and what flavors that you like and they will help you pair some wonderful flavors. Oil & Ve has a frequent shopper card - you get a punch for every $10 spent (rounded up). After you fill up the card you can get a small bottle of one of the oils or vinegars. I am so glad this place opened and happy that I finally got around to visiting their shop. Great products from nice people. What a treat this place turned out to be! I stopped in with my mom after lunch at Salt Factory and was dazzled by the array of olive oils and balsamic vinegars! I would never have believed you could put balsamic vinegar over ice cream! This is a foodie's dream! Service is very attentive and informative without being pushy. Apparently the balsamic have only 3 grams of natural sugar per Tablespoon, and a little goes a long way. If you are a diabetic like me this is an answer to prayer for jazzing up a low carb diet. Also good for those on a sodium restriction....and making food more interesting without added salt. You don't have to be a cook to really enjoy this place. I hope they are on Canton Street for a long time to come. Taking a stroll, I discovered this place. Fun place to visit. Have shared Oli & Ve with my friends. They love the store, too. The staff is super friendly. . Have bought many of their flavors of oil and vinegar. My favorite balsamic is blueberry but expresso and chocolat are really good too. So yesterday we went by specifically to get our Atlanta Dining Out Passbook that I purchased through Groupon. The manager/owner was there and very busy. Not griping, we understand WHY!!!!! We walked around and checked things out......and ended up purchasing a yummmmmy bottle of Cilantro and Roast Onion oil and Ginger vinegar! Who in their wildest dreams would have thought ice cream and vinegar would be so awesome????? Great service, awesome prices, and she introduced us to a whole new world of food. Oh!
