If you come here at night, you might think you're walking into a punk/metal club. The decor in each booth shows off the personality of the artists. But, don't freak at the skulls and horror movie statues: these are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet. Assuming you're here for a tattoo, your first stop will be looking at the books by artists here so you can see what kind of work they do. Some of the artwork is so beautiful and elaborate that you could make a print and hang it in a museum. The guy who did my work was Matt Black. We exchanged texts with my sketch of the design I wanted, and his ideas for how it would work. After seeing his work in the book, I shouldn't have been surprised, but the artwork he did was beautiful. I couldn't have imagined that my crude sketch would turn into something so impressive. I just got back from Las Vegas, where a tattoo parlor wanted to charge $250 for an hour of work; this was a place rated as a $$ price, which is crazy. The people out there are no better than the people here. Matt did my tattoo in about 2 hours, and it cost $250. Don't feel like you have to spend a fortune on a tattoo, and definitely don't go to a cheap place to save a few bucks. Eternal Tatoos will give you art that will stand the test of time.

You had one girl in front of me she was getting a cover-up tattoo I snuck back there and check it out you did amazing work on her it was beautiful. While I was waiting I got a chance to look through some of the sketches not only does he have a variety of different fence you can choose from different free hand drawings and different art from other artists you can choose from but you can even come in with your own picture or your own idea or picture off Instagram or Pinterest and let me tell you there's not too many tattoo artist they can take a marker to your arm by looking at a picture and DRAW....identical to what you had in mind.... identical to the picture you've brought in.... everything you had envisioned and then some it's like a spiritual Awakening when you talk to him... this guy knows what he's doing. And at a great price.....and the best part is he's pretty damn quick when he does these tattoos without lacking the detail!!!! either it's one or the other usually in this industry.... but this guy's got them all.... The room itself (a bedroom and a living room space) was super cutely decorated and the perfect amount of room for the two of us doing an overnight stay. The overall Convent space is pretty interesting and unlike anywhere I've ever stayed before. The downstairs space is a very large rooms/event spaces that are all decorated with bits of art from local artists that you can purchase and is independently run from the AirBNB. There was an event they were setting up for in the downstairs space for later that evening when we showed up and I believe the event happened and was taken down in the span of time it took for us to go out to dinner and come back, so that was interesting lol! The upstairs space is a long hallway with various different businesses in rooms on either side of the hall, with the high majority of these businesses focused on holistic healing and arts. My friend and I took advantage of our close proximity to these businesses and booked individual sessions with an energy healer that did energy readings of us, which was very enlightening for the both of us! The bathroom for the AirBNB is communal and located at the end of the hallway on this second floor closest to the AirBNB, but I assume that everyone in the building can access it as it has two stalls, two sinks, and a shower if you're so inclined as well. All in all, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have done it, but I don't know that I would personally do it again. I felt a steady level of anxiousness the entire time I was here, which I'm not entirely sure where that came from, but I think I could just chalk it up to me being in a space where I didn't feel completely safe even though there wasn't anything specific that made me feel unsafe here by any means. I just felt a tiny bit on edge the entire time I was here.

I picked it because the owner (Sebastian) was a season 2 finalist on Ink Master. Sebastian stated that he only did black & white realism, & passed me off to Tron. I specifically told Tron that I was VERY particular, & to take his time. . . I was willing to pay for it. Now that the work has completely healed, it is some of the worst work for letting "I" have ever seen. Precision, accuracy, finesse, consistency are needed, which are obviously lacking in this work. I have since found out that Tron is one of the least experienced artists (?) in this establishment. A scratcher. IF you go over this tat with the same level of scrutiny as an Ink Master judge, It fails on many levels. . . consistency being the most lacking. The most obvious. . . the negative space in the "e" in "When" looks like a blob. I wrote a review they were not happy with, but surely deserved. They gave a half hearted apology, but did not mention giving back my money or making some attempt to fix it. Caveat Emptor.

I went in in early March with my friend to get a helix piercing. My friend had trouble finding her…read moreID, eventually having to go outside and look for it in her car/call her mom to find it, which she never did. While this was happening the staff member I was sitting with was very impatient and unprofessional, at one point also asking me "Where's her f*cking ID?" I left the building with a little spike helix piercing, thinking it looked good. However, within the week, the spike had COME OFF. it's not a twist-off (even if it was, I never would've been able to find it) it actually just like... popped off. After that, I didn't want to accept that I had flushed $70 down the toilet, so I flipped it around and would press it in every hour or so because, even still, without the spike, it would sink into my ear and close the hole. This was a very painful addition to my piercing journey. And this morning, when I woke up, the whole thing was gone and the hole was closed. I'm very, very, unhappy about my piercing, and if I could go back in time, I would've gone somewhere else.
