Ok I wanted to take the time on this review because I was absolutely blown away! I have MANY tattoos and cover ups so I have been to my share fair of tattoo parlors. This shop stood out in many ways. When you first walk in you will notice this isnt your typical crap all over the place miss mash of stickers, drawings and random artwork. The place is CRISP! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS inside! Not what I was expecting... but very pleasantly surprised. I came here with my fiancé for a very special tattoo he picked out for me. The wait to get in was pretty long me and him we're pretty specific about having a female artist. The artist Stacy is BY FAR THE BEST TATTOO ARTIST I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO MEET!!! She was so accommodating for the specific requests my overly protective better half had! I have found our new tattoo shop! She will be working with me *(I also am a artist and will be drawing up a design)* to do a VERY LARGE piece all down my side/ribs that is a beautiful collaboration of me and my fiancé and what we believe in and represent as one. Also she is drawing up a beautiful representation of the law enforcement we have between us. Incorporating my family motto...  "aut vincere aut mori" Translate to "To Either Conquer Or Die" Can't wait!!! I wish I could post pictures of her work but it just so happens to be in...... a VERY private area... Stacie is the best Thank you girl. I will post the progress of the other tattoos when completed. I absolutely adore the staff here. I've been waiting so so long to get another tattoo and only had a small window of time to get this done. I've called other parlors, and I understand they wanted a consult first with me, however they were all grumpy and kinda rude. Then I found 13th hour and actually emailed them. They got me in with Timm and he was amazing! Kind and personable. He wasn't heavy handed at all and did an amazing job. I will be returning to him for the rest of my work. I will also say that even waiting around for my appointment wasn't irritating in the least. I think all of the staff there acknowledged my existence and was super helpful and friendly to every single person who walked in there. I could clearly see they care not only about what they do but they care about their clients, from start to finish and even after that. I highly recommend 13th hour!!! read more

Super clean, pleasant and inviting shop, highly trained staff.I am a total wuss about tattoos but I'm glad I got my ink here. Scheduling with Charity - super nice and patient. Believe me...you have to pack your patience with me as a scary pants. Tattoo with Ally - I had already emailed an image of what I wanted to Charity. I thought that was it. Wrong! I was introduced to my artist, Ally, who had sketched some super dope art for me! I was really pleased! During the tattoo she talked me through it (it's on the back of my leg so I couldn't see the process) and made sure I was ok. The tat came out perfect!!!!! Everyone was like family as soon as you walked in, every other tattoo shop that I had visited, almost feels like your not wanted there in a way.. but not one bit here. Mike was FANTASTIC, he took my idea and totally twisted it and made it into something I never would've thought of and I LOVE IT!! Great music choices, great conversation, and AMAZING prices! Unprofessional, Bad communication, Unapproachable and unfriendly staff. Walking in for a consultation had already made me uncomfortable because Charity at the front desk seemed very cold and unapproachable. Even though this first experience in the shop was uncomfortable, I still decided to give it a shot and schedule my tattoo. When I came back for my tattoo, I was kept waiting for about 20 minutes past the scheduled time. During this time my artist was walking around the shop and had only spoken to me once about filling out a 2 minute form. When my artist finally comes back to talk again, he says that the shop printer was not working for the stencil and he did not know when it would be working again. I recognize that this was not anyone's fault, however, I felt that it should have been communicated earlier. At the end of all this I decided to just not get a tattoo done that day or with this shop. I felt bad about canceling last minute but by then the entire experience was ruined and I did not feel comfortable with the shop. read more

I got my thirds done almost a year ago (9-10 months) here, and they have never fully healed. I followed all the instructions and did everything I have been told by piercers and the internet. Finally, I got sick of troubleshooting myself and decided to go see a highly rated piercer in my college town. I was told that my ears were pierced incorrectly and that the wrong jewelry was used. They were pierced diagonally instead of straight back, which is why I can see the backs when looking in the mirror. I then had to get the proper jewelry put in (flat back studs made of implant grade titanium vs the cheap butterfly back jewelry I was pierced with). Hopefully they heal despite being in the wrong position. The environment was clean and the staff were friendly, but it would have been nice to have gotten a simple lobe piercing from a seemingly well rated piercer that was actually done correctly. read more

After my two friends and I had a horrible experience with customer service at Elite Ink earlier in the morning, this was our third stop and we hoped it would be a good one. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted and they asked us what we were coming in for. We asked about the Friday the 13th sale and they directed us to the girl there, who was an apprentice and was apparently going to be the only one working on sale tattoos. Thought that was strange but I didn't have a problem with that; apprentices need the practice too and after seeing the available templates, I really didn't mind. Got my treble clef tattoo and held my friend's hand during her game controller tat. Our other friend got a (realistic) heart tattoo, not the generic cartoony kind. She actually started passing out and mentioned seeing stars, and our tat artist stopped with the needle immediately so there wouldn't be any unfortunate accidents. She gently pushed my friend back against the chair, told her to lay back for now, and went to ask for assistance. One of the artists who looks like he has been at the shop for longer--a guy with gauges and a short black beard--came in immediately to check on my friend. He was very knowledgeable and patient about how to handle it, explained what to do and why to the apprentice who never had someone pass out yet until that day, and gave my friend candy from the lobby with some water. She threw up into the trash bin they brought for her and they also had some Listerine ready so she could gargle the gross taste of vomit from her mouth. Then the guy told the apprentice to give my friend a few minutes to stabilize before continuing with the tattoo. His explanation during the whole thing was actually awfully informative, and it was a learning moment for both the apprentice as well as for us. I'm thankful they handled it so well. The apprentice, she was very friendly the whole time and happily spoke with us about a bunch of random things while we were all getting tattooed. I really appreciate that she took the time to look over our tattoos multiple times to ensure that she wasn't missing spots, and then she even asked us if there was anything else that was small that we needed to add to our tattoos. Two of us didn't want to take advantage of her for that so we told her that we were fine because we loved the tattoo designs as they were. One of my friends did ask for a couple of tiny stitching marks on the heart that she got tattooed though, and the apprentice was very accommodating about that. She deserved the tip after helping us today. She was also excited when I told her I was drawing up a design for my own gaming sleeve and said she'd really love to help with something like that. I know I want to come back to her when I get paid next week to plan another more complex tattoo. Definitely come here if you want to be in a good environment with good people and customer service, and if you want some amazing tattoos. Most of them charge by the hour and the prices vary depending on complexity based on the artist, so definitely speak to them before assuming prices on a tattoo you want! : ) P.S.: We noticed the massive Infinity Gauntlet in their back room area from just outside, and the girl there totally let my friend put it on to try and use. That gauntlet is amazing, LOL! Thanks for letting us goof around with it for like a minute! xD read more

maybe this place is more for tattoos because i went there for a nose piercing 2 days ago and it has sunken in my nose completely. i facebook messaged them to ask for advice and it was marked seen but i did not get a reply/advice. I ended up having to go to urgent care today and got it removed. It was already slightly infected and i'm now on antibiotics for 5 days. All I have to say is make sure the piercer knows she/he are doing because mine didn't tell me that the stud might be too small/the actual piercing hole could grow. I wouldn't disrespect anybody who goes here but I definitely won't be coming back. read more

Great place to get a piercing. Rachel pierced my lip and made sure I was totally comfortable with the whole process. I called the shop and spoke with her almost instantly. She explained how it's done (even though I didn't ask, but it was super informative so thank you lol). The environment was very clean and quiet (I went there on a Monday.) After the jewelry was in, Rachel talked to me for about ten minutes about the aftercare. I'm glad she didn't just shove a needle in my face, steal my money and push me out the door. I read a review about Timm from a client who was extremely happy with the way her tattoo came out. Went in and made an appointment and was lucky enough to have had my tattoo done by him. The Owner used to be an employee of Iron Side before it went under where the new owner then resurrected this place to I high quality tattoo shop. 13th Hour is extremely clean and the artist and piercers are very good. our artist was super nice and all but..he was doing a matching tattoos with me and my two friends. he took much more time on the first person then me and the other. and I feel because of that me and my other friend have shitty tattoos that were very important to us.mine looks like it's already fading and the lines aren't even present anymore it looks like a blur. as well as the other persons which really disappoints me in this shop. I've had friends come to this shop and get great tattoos but this wasn't the case for me nor my friend. to give more insight on the tim of this we started the tattoos at 1pm ish and he spent 3 hours on the first one (she did get another tattoo after but it took 10 mins if that bc it was just a few lines), next one started at about 3-3:30p and he finished her at about 4:30-4:45p, mine started at 5ish and he finished at around 5:45-6p after rushing because he's other client was there waiting. this is very upsetting and I expected more from this shop. read more
