Made a pit stop in Waco on our way to Fort Worth and found this little gem that sells locally made ice cream and artisan chocolates!!! Such a cute little place that offers an ice cream flight for $11.50!! For 8 mini flavors to try...such a great way to sample their flavors and then go with the one you love! In order of my top favorites: coffee, mint chocolate chip, passion fruit sorbet and strawberry!!! All of the flavors are SPOT ON, but coffee and passion fruit there's no denying!!! If you're in the area, you have to try this cute little spot! They also sell a variety of chocolate concoctions in a jar, a bar, and bonbon styles too!! My mom and I stopped by for some ice cream on a hot day. The mango sorbet was very strong of mango just how we like it!! The goose tracks and wookie ice cream flavors were delicious as well! Visited the location at 135 Estes Dr in Woodway. Don't waste your time. It stinks inside. I really didn't even want to stay but I made the effort to try the ice cream because it could have been a sewer line and not really their fault. Ice cream was good. The guy serving us walked to the back when we walked in. He was not friendly at all. So uncomfortable standing there. He definitely hates his job. No business at all. There were so many of them and the flavors are amazing! If you get a box you can refill at a discount. Now be prepared they aren't cheap but the quality and expertise is spot on. Giving a 4-star instead of a 5-star ONLY because they had 3 flavor options of ice cream tonight. We're visiting Waco for the weekend and we're looking for dessert to end our night. We got some really great suggestions from friends and chose this place. They have a "Sampler" that we were looking SO forward to--up tonight flavors/mini scoops of ice cream on a fancy platter. We arrived to be told they only had 3 flavors available. It was such a downer. BUT the ice cream we did have--strawberry and milk chocolate--were sooooo delicious. They were creamy and rich and some of the best ice cream I've had. It left me wondering just how good all of the other flavors they would have would be. Packaged in boxes for fine gems, you can bring back your empty box for 15% off your next order. Great for the environment and your soul. They offer a viewing window to the back where all the magic happens, I'm not sure when they make the treats but a great feature- give them a call. Great ice cream spot in Waco! If I hadn't heard about this spot from a friend, I would've thought this was just a chocolate shop but it's actually both a chocolate and ice cream shop and quite busy in the evenings. They have a variety of ice cream flavors including a set of flavors that all include chocolate chips. We tried the black raspberry chocolate chip and the s'mores chocolate chip which were both incredible! The black raspberry was creamy with a little tang and we loved that the s'mores base was graham cracker flavored as opposed to a chocolate. Both really special treats! The chocolate chips are a lot softer and you don't get the normal crunch of the chip which I tend to prefer. However, despite this, I would definitely return and recommend that you give this spot a try while in Waco! Also right in downtown next to a lot of restaurant options so a great place to pop by for dessert after dinner! read more

Came to check Spendid Oats out since they opened yesterday and there's not any other place like them in Waco! Was greeted by kind staff and there were nice and clean tables for some seating. They are currently serving an assortment of chocolates and ice cream, and the flavors all sound so good! I got a box of four to try a few of the chocolates out, and it cost $11. The four i picked out were the matcha, lemon lavender, vanilla and caramelized white chocolate. The matcha and the lemon lavender were SUPER flavorful and rich, especially the lemon lavender. The lavender was super aromatic! The vanilla was a nice flavor, but the caramelized white chocolate stood out! It had a nice milky and almost burnt taste, and you could definitely taste the caramel part of the truffle. I'm excited to see where Splendid Oats goes as they begin their journey in Waco! read more

Another four stars--taking account its location in Waco. We skipped dessert at Milo to come here instead at our daughter's firm behest. We got four chocolates (the minimum you can purchase) and two small ice creams. For the chocolates, bananas foster was definitely the best, cherry cheesecake and strawberry were OK, and we're forgetting the fourth flavor, so it couldn't have been that great. Here's the pun-intended scoop with the ice cream: it's freaking delicious (flavor explosion!) but the texture is all wrong. It was WAY too hard with too much of a bite to it and lacked the creamy consistency that makes ice cream enjoyable to eat. We love love loved the s'mores and black raspberry, but really wished that it wasn't as hard as a rock. Prices be pricey for Waco! Seriously. But whatever, it seems like some enterprising Baylor kid started this place up and he's contributing to the local economy, making Waco a more interesting place to visit and enjoy, so four stars. May the wind be on their business back. (Also, some free advice from a couple old timers: get a website and stop relying on Instagram to do that work for you.) read more
