Long overdue but an experience never to be forgotten. Our daughter was getting married and had a specific design and size for her small wedding. The cake was made in such a way (quality fresh ingredients) that even after being in the fridge weeks after the wedding, it tasted like it was freshly made. The extra went into the freezer and after thawing still tasted as fresh as the day it was made. Can't emphasize the quality of the cake. The decor was simple while the flavor was grand. I would highly recommend getting your wedding cake from Baked Bliss. The owner was an angel to us every step of the way. We will be back for the next major event. So my husband brought me here while in Waco for my birthday. As a chocolate lover, I must say this is now one of my favorite chocolate cakes EVER.... It was so moist and decadent. The flavors were like no other. This cake had a uniquely distinctive flavor as it was not too rich nor too sweet it was just the right amount of goodness for my liking. There isn't an indoor dining area and we were heading out to Wimberley but my husband wanted me to have my cake and enjoy eating it too. They have a few tables outside and we were able to enjoy it outside. The owner was gracious enough to find us a candle, plates, forks and a knife. She along with other patrons partook in singing happy birthday to me. They made me and my family feel so special. Their staff was so kind and sweet. The owner came out afterwards to see how we liked it and shared a story of how she came up with the perfect recipe. My son already said he wants the same cake for his graduation. read more

This is the second time I visited. The first time, I ordered one cupcake off their regular menu. It took over 10 minutes just to fill the order and I was the only one there. The cupcake was good so I thought I would try it again 5 months later when I was back in town. This time, I ordered 2 cupcakes off their regular menu and after waiting 20 minutes I asked for a refund. They couldn't figure out how to refund it and finally brought my cupcakes out a few minutes later. They were frozen!! Their baked goods are not freshly baked! Baked Bliss is fabulous and I've been coming here for years. It's a little off the beaten path, but very well worth it. The owner, Kim, is a wonderful baker and a very caring person. BB has the absolute best cinnamon rolls I've ever had and they are a must have for every holiday and special occasion. Baked Bliss also made the bride's cake for my daughter's wedding. It was beautiful and tasted divine. Everyone raved about the cake and the leftovers tasted just as fresh a week out (they didn't last longer than that!) Kim made sure the cake was exactly what we wanted and had it set up and ready at the venue in plenty of time. I also loved that when we'd pop in for a treat in months leading up to the wedding, she would check in with us, ask how the planning was going and let us know she was praying for my daughter and her fiance'. Just keep in mind, this isn't a pretentious or fancy place. Kim is very mission minded and is a part of the community she has her business in. Many of her employees seem to be works in progress and are a little less polished than maybe other places, but this also speaks to the owner's heart and motivation for setting up shop in this part of town. This makes BB more endearing to me and it doesn't hurt that they make the best cinnamon rolls and cakes I've ever tasted! read more

We enjoyed their amazing Cinnamon Rolls, both the regular iced and the Pecan-topped Iced. Per the "warning" from the server, we got one iced cinnamon roll warmed before we left. He was concerned we might not make it home before diving in....and he was Sooooooo right. We dove into the warmed cinnamon roll right there on their deck, and it may have been the BEST one I have ever eaten! Then, the next morning, I enjoyed a "day old" pecan topped mini-roll- and I now wish I had it heated, because it may have been even better than the original! Despite the near Epi-pen experience, the GF cinnamon rolls are DIVINE. Well...I was so excited to find a bakery that offers GF items. (I couldn't stop thinking about GF cinnamon rolls after reading one of the reviews.). I explained that I'm way allergic to wheat and have to carry an Epi-pen for that allergy because my reactions are so strong. The girl at the counter started gathering my order and in the mean time, THANKFULLY, the owner came out and started chatting. The girl handed me my order and the owner decided to look inside the boxes. Every item I was given was the full on GLUTEN version. Grrrr. So scary. The owner did go and gather my order herself even though she was busy. What a jewel! My sister found this place when traveling from Austin to Ft. Worth and stopped by yo pick up a few gluten free treats for me. The bacon cheddar scone is outstanding- they just don't make enough of them and run out too early. It made me want to cry tears of joy! The scones and cupcakes are also great and the cinnamon roll is outstanding. I wish the icing on all of these items was not as sweet but I enjoy it nonetheless. I find it pricey but for a treat who cares! P.S. the non GF is scrumptious too! read more

We ordered a German chocolate layer cake. My son did anyway for his dad's birthday. I suggested he just get one from Sams or HEB, he said they use chocolate frosting and dad likes the traditional frosting. Guess what! He arrives to get the cake and it has chocolate frosting all over except the top of the cake. I asked if they offered him a discount and he said no, they attempted to scrape the chocolate frosting off but it wasn't working. First and last order. We had always gone to Baked Bliss for our sweets but they went above and beyond for our wedding! They baked our cake and cupcakes for about 275 people and did not disappoint. Not only did everything look good but it tasted INCREDIBLE. Easily the best cupcakes and cake that I've ever had. Kim was so helpful in thinking through how much we needed and what flavors we wanted. We ordered online so food would be ready when we got there. Once we arrived they had not even started order. They spent another 30 min making our order, when they finally got it out none of it was correct. They tried to fix the order 3 more times, each time taking another 10 min and we finally had to leave with nothing correct. My daughter made an appointment for a cake tasting for her upcoming wedding. She lives out of town, but is getting married in Waco. We arrived at the scheduled time for our appointment and nothing was ready for us. There was one type of cake that my daughter was particularly interested in trying, but we were told that one wasn't ready when in fact, it appeared that none of the alleged samples (she had told them she wanted to taste 3 flavors) were ready when we arrived. We asked if they had forgotten the appointment and were told they had not - just were short handed and running behind. We were told that if we could come back in an hour or so they would have everything ready for us - and that the one particular cake flavor was in the oven. It would have time to bake, cool and be frosted before we returned. We came back an hour later to find 2 of the 3 flavors were in a box on a table. It was well over 100 degrees and the ceiling fans had been turned off. They have no indoor area for customers. So we sat in the heat with those 2 flavors and waited. The baker said that she still needed to make the one particular flavor (the one we were previously told was in the oven when we left) and it wouldn't take too long. She mentioned she did not know we were coming! We sat there by ourselves and tasted one really dry cupcake and one that was just ok. I've had their products before and know they are typically really good. I was hugely disappointed and embarrassed for having recommended this place to my daughter. We kept waiting. We were miserably hot just sitting there. Then the baker came out to try to make conversation (I'm guessing to stall for time) and then she said it would only be a few more minutes before they were ready. She went back into the kitchen and several minutes later came out to speak to another employee for several minutes at the counter. She walked right past us and said nothing and when she returned to the kitchen area she said nothing to us. In all we were there the 2nd time for about 30-45 minutes before we finally just gave up and left. Later that afternoon my daughter received a text stating that she could come back and get the cupcake with the flavor she was really wanting to try it out. Seriously??? read more

Never been there but some friends of mine had them cater their 50th wedding anniversary get together. The husband needs gluten free food and My friend said Bliss is one of the very few places that will do gluten free food and they do it well. I joked to him it is good this is your 50th instead of the 40th because ten years ago virtually ALL gluten free food was pretty bad. A variety of food, different kinds of biscuits/scones, breakfast tacos, quiche, cookies, etc. Everything I tried was excellent and most of it gluten free.
