Don't let the line scare you away! Hubby had the mint ice cream and I had the strawberry ice cream. Both were delicious! We ate in the outside area of the shop. They have wonderful inventive flavors like Train Tracks non-dairy with coconut, chocolate, peanut butter, and honey bombs. Delicious ice cream! I came to Splendor with a few friends because of their recommendations and wow! There was a LONG line out the door when we came but it didn't take long for us to order. The worker that helped us was very nice and patient since we were extremely indecisive after sampling a few of their flavors. We ended up getting a scoop of mango sticky rice and train tracks! I did wish the mango sticky rice was more tart and had a stronger mango flavor. However, traintracks was my favorite! It definitely is on the sweeter side. The ice cream was flavorful and so very creamy. The passion fruit sorbet was excellent. The store was somewhat busy for a Thursday afternoon at 3:00. As SLO locals we love McConnells but this place is much easier to access (free parking and a shorter line) and just as good. The selection of ice cream is varied but not overwhelming.
