And we were totally polite to her. I feel sorry for anyone who has to interact with her. The application wasn't for me, but she treated me like the animal that she thinks I am. I'm simply trying to help someone else. Somebody needs to sit Denise L. down and let her know that she's not better than the people she's dealing with. And one day she may trade shoes with the people she's disrespectful to. I've seen it happen.

You would think that an owner of this type of business would have any sort of compassion for these parents that want to see their children. But unfortunately at New Beginnings Together, they go out of their way to immaturely make that not happen. Lacking any empathy for parents begging to just be able to see their kid. They will make not only the parents suffer, but the kids suffer to. Over literally one min. I wish I could say that this is their only fault. But it's not. While you're in the facility, it is almost like mean girls in high school. I really wish I was joking. They sit in the office and literally talk crap about all of the parents from other visitation times. And blatantly talk about you, and play it off as they were just joking with each other. But make the mistake of calmly letting them know you're uncomfortable and they're being incredibly immature, and they will write false reports about you. Saying you cursed, even though u know exactly where you are. And know for a fact that you wouldn't have done that whatsoever. But it's their word against yours, and it's already unfavorable circumstances where you stand. I'm hoping that I'm not the only one that is going to stand up and say something about this. I just have endured far too much of this, all because I just want to be able to see my baby. And this is the environment that We have to spend our time in. The negativity and relentless immaturity of the owner is insane. And for anyone trying to get a job here, let's hope you like to put down other people all day. Or you won't fit in. Hopefully this will help her learn to be more compassionate. And try to have any sort of consideration to the families that come to her facility. Because at this point I couldn't see how someone could be so heartless. I could go on and on about details, I'm just trying to keep it short and sweet to get the point across. Snohomish county jail is SO much better than Spokane county jail. Spokane's jail was so dirty, the…read morepolice working were inhumane to inmates, one cop even told someone "you're not that important" and they don't even provide shoes like Snohomish County Jail did. Spokane jail also "lost my clothes" and I had to leave the jail in their scrubs. They suck!

This jail was filthy. Toilets were clogged in booking with trash everywhere. I was in for a very…read moreminor offense and my health was at risk the 28 hours I stayed because they withheld my blood pressure and mental health medications for 17 hours. My blood pressure was 204/140 by the time I got medication. I asked for my medications the whole night and was lied to constantly. Most of the correctional officers were confrontational with every person they saw. The bright lights are kept on 24/7 and you could only leave your cell for half an hour a day. Some of the correctional officers made their political beliefs known loudly. I had to go to the ER twice for my health due to the stay in this jail. I was taken to the hospital in handcuffs that left bruises covering my wrists and hands.

Terrible delivery service from this location. "We have a…read morenew driver and we are training," the manager tells us. "You are the only house with issues." Wrong. I can name seven neighbors with complaints. People are busy and don't have time to deal with this location's incompetence. Also, this office rarely answers the phone and who knows where the emails go or if they are ever even seen. - For the past year we get mail for a different address 2-3 times per week. - The carrier just tosses packages onto the porch, sometimes in the rain. Never mind there is often sensitive electronics in the box. - Mail is delivered during mail hold periods. This last mail hold saw three packages tossed onto the porch on three separate days. We called and had them come pick up the packages, which they did only twice, leaving the third package to go missing. - We have a circular driveway and for some reason the carrier will make a three-point turn in the driveway stirring up the gravel instead of just continuing straight through. Do they not realize so many people have security cameras these days?

I will walk away with a very tangible business plan to start my new venture. I am thankful! I'm also thankful for the scholarship - as a Marine Vet wife. The skills and networking developed between classmates is not something that could possibly be measured.
