Mostly they are liars, their leader is a liar, the mayor lies about the cops, saying they are doing a good job. Whenever I have dealt with a CDA cop they always, always try and turn the situation around to make it look like its your fault. I had a real cop, a cop from a huge city tell me that simply they do this so they don't have to write up a police report. I wouldn't call a CDA cop if my life depended on it. I suppose their may be one out of a hundred cops in CDA that do a good job but I doubt, anyone like that would have moved away a long time ago. One time in the fall at dusk I was blowing leaves near the street with a blower. I would stop when a car drove by so as not to blow leaves and dust into the oncoming car, pretty soon a CDA cop shows up and says they got a call about a suspicious leaf blower, said suspiciously I would stop when a car drove by. The cop wanted my ID, I said no, I'm working. Then I said they send you out on dangerous calls don't they? The whole department is a joke.

Two officers rolled by and issued me an open container violation even after I helped to fix their Cruiser printer. Meanwhile, Some random guy walked by and lit up a joint, and he even managed to walk by a second time right next to me and the Officer. I put in for expungement after paying the fine due to it effecting job opportunities and it got denied the same day I submitted it. Since then, it has affected employment opportunities, And meanwhile, this is my first offense, besides a traffic violation 12 years ago. I have three kids and a wife and now have to file bankruptcy because of how badly it has been affecting my employment opportunities. I test for the Spokane County Corrections in September, and they laughed at how far a stick is lodged up Kootenai County's rear end. I didn't even get to sip the beer. Snohomish county jail is SO much better than Spokane county jail. My blood pressure was 204/140 by the time I got medication. I asked for my medications the whole night and was lied to constantly. Most of the correctional officers were confrontational with every person they saw. The bright lights are kept on 24/7 and you could only leave your cell for half an hour a day. Some of the correctional officers made their political beliefs known loudly. I had to go to the ER twice for my health due to the stay in this jail. I was taken to the hospital in handcuffs that left bruises covering my wrists and hands.

In a small campus setting near Spokane International Airport, it is a work release facility with four bunks to each room. Inmates are allowed to bring in personal items including TVs. Some of my favorite things at Geiger were- * Mondays- Tacos in the cafeteria and Monday Night Football in the TV room. * Guards that were for the most part pleasant. * Talking to the federal female prisoners in the yard (just remember to stay on your side of the sidewalk) -1 star for loss of personal freedom.

When he was moved to Geiger I called to see what building he was in so I could schedule a visit. I had to pick the option to speak with someone in Admin so I could actually talk with someone. The man who answered the phone didn't speak clearly enough for me to get his name, and he cut me off before I could get my entire question out telling me that he couldn't tell me anything. I said you can't tell me what building he is in? Nope I don't know that information. I responded by saying he is at your facility and you don't know what building he is in? He said nope, you can look on the website. I said , I did go to your website. It tells me that he is at Geiger and it tells me what time visiting is, but it doesn't tell me what building and floor he is on. It does however tell me I need to know that information to schedule a visit. He responded with "well then write him a nice letter that he will eventually get telling him how much you love him, I'm sure that will make him write you back and then you'll have the information you want!" His tone was very rude and condescending. Before I could say anything he hung up. I realize this is a correctional facility, however I am not a criminal and my boyfriend was there on a DUI, not a horrific crime. I am a professional and I will not be treated as if I am garbage by someone that is a little high on their horse because they are a guard at a jail. The first time I went to visit there were three guards in the room chatting. I was ignored for five minutes before one of them came over took my ID asked who I was visiting, gave me my ID back and then turned to talk to one of the other guards leaving me standing there. Not knowing what to do since I am not accustomed to visiting the jail, I just stood there waiting. The third guard came rushing up to the window when he saw me standing there and I told him the other guy already took my info. He looked shocked and he buzzed me in. Nguyen was this guards name and he was quite nice. However the other two guards and the one on the phone left a lasting impression on how awful the employees at this facility are. If they treat me poorly and show me no respect, I can only imagine how they treat the inmates. The way that the employees behave is not acceptable and I believe that there should be higher standards set into place upon hiring for a position. I guess this is what you get from union employees. Hate this place and the way it operates. I will make it a goal of mine to make sure that any inappropriate treatment I receive or hear about happening inside will not be hidden from the public. It will not let me post with out giving at least on star. My true rating would be a negative hundred stars. 100

We arrived at the CDA Social Security office about 15 minutes early to allow for check-in. We received our numbered ticket and only had to wait ten minutes until we met with Kiana. Kiana was professional, courteous, very personable and friendly. In addition, she was extremely patient in answering all of our questions and helping us with our request. TOP MARKS to Kiana!
