This is an authentic…read moredance studio with serious instructors, disciplined dancers and a healthy rapport amongst all dancers, parents, instructors and owner. The instructors are attentive to proper training and development to prevent injuries. In the 6+ years that I have been associated with this studio I have not seen any eating disorders or unhealthy practices. The performances are FULL productions at the beautiful Martin Woldston Fox theater. The Academy of Dance is also the home of the non-profit Spokane Youth Ballet. Dancers from the entire area are welcome to audition for the productions and performances at the FOX Theater. These productions are original choreography and never disappoint.

They were competitive tap dancers in school and have now opened a versatile studio filled with dance classes, yoga, fitness, and sauna/therapy. It is a great one stop shop for all things wellness. I decided to join their buti glow class. Buti yoga is new to the northwest and is a mix of tribal dance and yoga and all these scientific ways to use movement as medicine. Stephanie, our instructor was an absolute gem. Raw and real and hilarious and really good at what she is teaching. The best part about this class is that you are covered in glow paint and being your primal self under the glow of the black lights and it is pure empowerment. I am so glad I went. Take a dope playlist and a room full of women lifting each other up and I will absolutely sign up again. I hear that the buti glow class is once per month, so maybe I will see you there!

Corporate changes their member page and apps too often causing difficulties signing in and classes you know that are going on do not show on schedule. Front desk can be helpful for these issues BUT staff seems to blame problems on 3 rd party issues and staff has to be coached into saying "I will look into that"

Precious was extremely rude and refused to cancel CHILDREN memberships. She told me to come in 8-8, and I came In at 7:30 and there was 'no one there' to talk to. My bank was charged on 05/11 and I called 05/11. I have email invoice of confirmation of cancelation, But she said I had To pay ANOTHER MONTH (at $37.60 per child) and $99 cancelation fee in order to cancel 3 CHILDREN MEMBERSHIPS THAT WERE NOT ATTACHED TO AN ADULT. Under Washington law, they cannot be a member of a fitness facility without a guardian. I will now be disputing many months of charges as fraudulent and will report this to the proper business and legal authorities. While I paid the first year in full, it has now been month to month contract and should not be subject to disciplinary actions for simply trying to cancel memberships.
