    Delicious

Visiting Milan and this was listed as one of the top Pizza places and I see why! It was delicious! I love the deep dish style pizza with plenty of cheese. My vacation is over and I'm still craving this pizza. My cousin who doesn't even like lasagna ordered it and loved it. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste it because it had pork in it but the pizza was satisfying enough for me

My favorite pizza on my first trip to Italy! I love how fresh and tasty this pizza is! The best type is the plain cheese and you can't go wrong with it. Spontini was my go to pizza place in Milan. They're open till late and there's many locations. I personally liked their pizza better than most fancy pizza places. There's no seating but the pizza is worth standing for!

Overhyped by the unique way that they cut their pizza. If you are really hungry and want a quick slice of cheese it's not bad. Crunchy and airy crust but tomato sauce was lacking. Good for fast food, nothing more.

They have been rude to me. I was going to give it 3 stars but when you are rude to someone you always deserve to get at least one star detracted. Let's begin saying that the other Spontini at Duomo (via Papiniano) is better. The staff there is kind and the place looks way better. This Spontini instead looks kinda old, it's not really nice but whatever, the pizza is good. What is not good instead is the service and the staff (or at least the two people of the staff I interacted with). A waiter approaches me after I got seated at the counter and starts staring at me... and staring, and staring. I stare back at him. I was thinking "so this is the moment where you should say 'hello, welcome. How can I help you?' but no he just stood there in silence". So I was like "sssso I'll have a margherita and a can of coke..?" Waiter: "we don't have coke, only Pepsi" Me: "ok so a can of Pepsi" Waiter: "we don't have a can of Pepsi, only Pepsi Light." Me: "ok so a can of Pepsi light!!" Waiter: "ok, I'll put it in a glass for you" After this interesting conversation what happens?? Look at the pic below to see what I got: half a liter of Pepsi from the tap. Goddamnit what was wrong with him?? Half an hour to beg him to get something from a can because I don't like the Pepsi from tap and you bring me half a liter of Pepsi from tap?? After my meal I went to pay and I asked the old guy with white hair why they got me half a liter of Pepsi when I clearly asked for a can (0,33). He said "it's the same thing" and started making up excuses. He had an excuse for every objection I had. That's not the way to deal with customers. Ok let's pay: I give him my credit card. He says "no we don't accept this one" (it was a VISA) ok so I gave him a second one and he says "no you can't pay with this unless your bill is more than 10€. Holy hell. So I buy something else and I walk out disappointed. Never coming back to this place.

Hands down n° 2: Spontini rulez. This is the very first of many spots that the owners opened throughout the city. If you like the tall, crusty at the bottom, soft in the middle, and greasy on the top kind of pizza this is your place, go for it! It' s soooo good and tasty you will become an habitue. It's the most popular Spontini and it's always busy, but I never had any problems and never found it overcrowded, especially on sunday night. If you don't want to wait a few minutes for a table you can sit in front of the window or at the wall; nobody will push you to leave your seat. The service is fast and friendly. I really can't tell you why but there's a very homey vibe in here. It's just a short subway ride basically from everywhere: just hop on the red line trains and gett off at Lima for a fab pizza. #crave#for#pizza##

Small slice. A large is one of these plus a baby slice

This place came recommended by a local as a gem pizza joint in Milan. The pizza is very basic, super thick crust, sauce and cheese. There is no menu. Choose a small or large slice. Pizza was meh. I had high expectations. Honestly nothing special. Service was great and people were friendly. Maybe i have to adjust my expectations, but i prefer new york pizza to this, and i am a pizza snob. Beware that they have strange hours bc they close for the middle of the day and reopen in the evening.

We only had one day in Milano and already have eaten our lunch, but our tour guide said we need to try Spontini (he's a regular there) because apparently it's the best pizza in town. So my friend and me shared a slice (for 4 Euro, if I remember it correctly) and it was indeed delicious! I wouldn't say this is the best pizza I've eaten but it's definitely worth a try!

The big pizza. If you want a normal size don't include the small slice.

First of all, Yelp has it wrong saying it is open from noon to midnight. They actually close at 2:30 and open again at 6:30. They do not have a variety of pizzas, just cheese pizzas but they are super big and the dough is good. It's fluffy and full...and when they burn the cheese...yay you know it so good. They also have lasagna but I wouldn't recommend it unless all you want is the lasagna pasta. Hardly any sauce, cheese or meat (if it had meat) but it wasn't bad too. It's a bit busy and not big place. But the price is good. The lasagna was only €5 and a normal pizza is €5.50 and a big is €6.50. I would go back here for pizza again.

I don't like the thick pizza but their pizza made me change my mind. I could say one of the best pizza I ever had.

Grabbing a slice with our new friends from Greece!!

Excellent stop for a slice anytime of the day! They have 3 different kinds- Cheese, Veggie and Prosciutto. Most of the employees speak English which is great! I ordered a slice of cheese and they have full pizzas in their brick ovens constantly so there is never a wait for a fresh slice. They have a huge round metal pedestal that they set the pizzas on once they come out of the oven and a big divided blade that comes down and cuts the pizza into perfect slices and then cuts the slices into bite size pieces. The bottom crust is so light and crispy, the sauce is perfectly distributed and there is plenty of melted cheese on top!! It can get very busy in there but people move in and out pretty fast. You always have the option to "take away" means take out. It is near McDonald's and the Duomo.

We came in about 10 minutes to closing (yes, we were those assholes), but were greeted with nothing but smiles and welcoming staff. We ordered and our food came literally 2 minutes later and was fresh and hot. Absolutely nothing but great things to say about the pizza, perfect fried bottom of crust with a fluffy bed of dough and a perfect combination of tomato sauce and mozzarella. Yeah, you might feel a little slow and heavy after, but you certainly don't go eat Spontini for the nutrition of it. Great place and can't wait to go back and eat more!

Went there looking for pizza with lots of cheese, showed the staff the picture from yelps, and he helped us with an order of the regular pizza. Not as good as I would have anticipated for a few reasons: 1) not as much cheese as I would like, only knew about the more cheese option afterward 2) personal preference: dislike pizza with too much tomato sauce, and 3) the coke or Pepsi was horrible

    Riya G.

Really tasty pizza and beer. We took the abundant pizza with regular amount to of cheese. It comes with one big and one small slice. Will fill you up good. Even though crust is a little thick it is soft and the bottom layer is crispy. I loved that combination. Definitely recommend the place. Get the beer too. Tastes good with the pizza.

Pizza was simple but amazing. Good crust and not expensive either

Also, there was a bit of a weight when we got there, but it actually grew to almost a dozen people. They see people quickly so the turnover is pretty fast and you don't wait long. Since I was concerned about limited menu, those fears were allayed when the Waiter takes your order - he lets you know about the four or five other ones that are not on the menu that are all sounding great So we picked 'chef special' (they pick for you) and a white pizza. The service was pretty quick, and the pizza comes out right away Obviously with such high turnover, they have figured out the formula for delicious pizza. They nailed the crust as well as all the ingredients. Really delicious. The toilet facilities definitely need a lot of help. That was my only real comment about the atmosphere. It's very basic, you sit at basic tables. They seemed to all be helpful

The chef's surprise was a salami and burrata pizza, and it was top notch. We also had the Delicata Bianca, which was beautifully balanced. They even went above and beyond to do a half and half pizza for each of us! (See pics) Some of the Italian craft beers surprised us, and we also got a few liqueur shots on the house! Nikola/Nichola was absolutely fantastic: super attentive, friendly, and radiated joy. I also found out he was a fellow Sri Lankan, and we had a good laugh about it. The folks sitting next to us were also super friendly, so we had a great time all around. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Milan :)

Seated very quickly, nice clean restaurant and nice waiters although language barrier made ordering a bit clunky. My wife got the ravioli while my friend and I got the bolognese lasagna. My wife said the ravioli was good not great and our lasagna was very tasty but room temperature. I like my food hot. The other person at our table got salmon and it was way overcooked and very tough. Not sure why our other party got Salmon at an Italian restaurant in Italy but to each his own. If you want a glass of wine you only have two choices, white wine and red wine. No other available. This is probably because the restaurant doesn't carry large inventories of wine due to their small size and cost. Overall no way is this above an average restaurant. It's just okay. Heat up your lasagna better, teach your chef how to cook Salmon and expand your glasses of wine selections.
