Most places don't have it. I drove 40 miles and back to Sweetwater, paid for the compost, and it was still cheaper than buying it in Abilene. I know that sounds crazy, but I enjoyed the drive. Thank you Sutherlands! Anyway, Sutherlands is one of those everything stores. If you need it, they probably got it! Store is pretty new, so it's still clean and well stocked. For several years I have purchased custom leather goods from Bullard Leather, however, they have a…read morenew ownership and the customer service has gone to the devil. On 1/6/26, I placed an order for a custom holster, received an order number and an anticipated shipping date of 3-4 weeks. In early February 2026, I contacted Bullard by telephone to get an update on my order--no returned call. I emailed---no reply, I sent text messages---no replies. This ordeal went on for over a month, with no replies. Finally, in early March, I contacted Citi Visa to seek help. They recommended that file a dispute. That was done, and Citi Visa contacted Bullard Leather on my behalf. In the interim, I also made attempts to contact Bullard Leather. It was my intent to accept the holster if it had been made and remove the dispute. Still, after 3 emails, 3 text messages and 2 telephone voicemails, I had not received any rely from Bullard. Finally, out of the "blue" I recently received an email from Bullard giving me a "ton of grief" for filing a dispute with Citi Visa and then suggesting that I should deal with them only and not contact Bullard Leather. Candidly, I do not know what is going on with this company. Today, I received notice from Citi Visa that the dispute would be closed and my account was credited for the holster purchase. Historically, they have produced excellent products, and I am still using several of their holsters. If they can get their act together, I would recommend them to any potential customer. However, as of now, I can't.

After spilling fuel on my shoes at the gas station across the street, I headed in here to look for something to clean my shoes with. The guys were nice enough to let me "sample" the different cleaning products they offered. Sneaker technology has come a long way and so has the cleaning products. I had spilled enough on my shoes that it took a lot of product, so my shoes were wet. I ended up selecting a pair of Nike sandals to wear while my shoes were ready. It wasn't necessary of these guys to go above and beyond for me, but they did. Friendly attitude, no pressure to buy anything and willing to help me out in a pinch. That's good customer service and good management of the store. I will wholeheartedly recommend this store if you're in need of good shoes, socks, athletic gear, or anything else related. Even in Lubbock or larger places they're friendlier than these girls. Now, I am not in there for a conversation but they act as if it is a pain to have to wait on the customers. I've been there several times and it's ALWAYS the same. The manager needs to train the employees in manners and just plain old decent behavior. I have never complained on them before and have given them the benefit of a doubt many times and quite frankly I'm tired of being treated like I'm a nuisance. That's NOT good business.
