Asolutely terrible customer service. I arrived at 9am (was the first person in) and signed in at the store. wait went from 0 to 7 mins due to someone signing in online which I can accept so I sat down and waited. while waiting 7m 3 more ppl showed up on the screen as being ahead of me. while leaving another person did and it said it would be a 50m wait. I asked the nearest stylist and she said there's nothing to do and to sit down until she finishes with her current cut then she can talk. I left and went to another hair cut place. read more

The check in system is idiotic. Just take appointments already! Management has been rude on more than 1 occasion and most recently when I suggested it might be wise to take appointments during COVID-19, as there was '8' customers congregating in the lobby when I arrived, the Manager proceeded by giving me an attitude. Initially, I asked the Stylist if this had been the first time someone had made a concern like this be known and she said not at all, in fact people say this all the time about the check in system. Like on cue, moments The Manager then came over and I said the same thing to her and she said "We have never had a complaint like this before ". I told her that her Stylist said literally the opposite from what she was now saying (the Stylist was still standing right next to the Manager at the time). I didn't end up getting my haircut that day due to the gathering size (which I reported to public Health and is currently being looked into. ) and also because when I checked in the wait time was 0 minutes and when I arrived the wait was 45 minutes. I am not planning on returning or bringing my son for a haircut when they are careless about the public's health and well being as well as not open to positive change. read more

Worst place. Poor customer service. RUDE and ARROGANT. Messed up my sons hair. When my wife went back to get it fixed after 3 days they were rude and arrogant. My wife had to wait for 30 mins only to hear that she will have to pay more to fix our sons hair. Won't go again even if it's free. Won't recommend to anyone. Go to Walmart instead. I was up in the neighbouhood and walked in because a friend was getting his haircut in this sports themed barber shop. They had a coupon offer for a free haircut, so I figured why not give them a try. It's a gimicky place that has a young all female staff, sports on TV, and a sport themed decor. More of a place where the suburban dads go to take their sons so they can see some good looking hair dressers, have them give head massages while being shampoo'd in the back room (which they call "Showers"...genius really). It is a little dreamworld the dad's can have for a half hour then return to the duldrums of suburbia until the next month's haircut. OK enough on the marketing...what about the haircuts and services? They have the following packages Regular Cut: $19 MVP: It's a $19 package for first time (or free with coupon), and $25 regular after that. The MVP includes the following: 1) Haircut - I am not a fan of their hair cuts, as they use the razor first as a speed option and then scissors second. A traditional barber uses a combination scissors first and razor second. In this case had to really guide the haircutter to cut my hair right as I wanted a trim and clean up. In the end it was okay, but I like my old time Italian barbers better because his confidence and technique is unquestioned, where I think she is pretty new to this. 2) Hot Steamed Towel - A lost piece of barbershop practice. This was amazing as the towel is also scented, so you do get the hot towel and aroma therapy. 3) Massaging Shampoo - They've taken a page out of the spa handbook and made the shampoo a relaxing spa like experience. 4) Relaxing Back Massage - Using a mechanical massager, you get your shoulders and upper back massaged...nice even though it is only a minute long. Conclusion: Great for the suburban dad 'getaway' to ManCaveLand and get a haircut. However, I am not comfortable with them giving me a haircut. It was an experience, but I'll stick to my old fashioned Italian barber who has no frills and will charge me significantly less for a proficient haircut. Giving three stars because what is important is the haircut. Unofficially, four stars for the marketing, services, and concept. Price Range: I would put them as moderate to pricey, they walk a thin line between a decent price for what you get, but do you really need to pay for the extras? So I gave a 2 stars review before.... Now I'm a regular here. I don't know if it's not as busy now or the service is more effective... But the wait is not as bad most of the time. The service is always good. Everyone is friendly here. I like how most people cut the hair. I think they ladies that used to cut the hair however they wanted... Are gone. I could give a 3 star review because sometimes I don't like that some of the hairdressers are in a rush to get you out or in a bad mood. I try not to care as long as I get a good cut. I've seen the personnel change often and I've tried someone different all the time. I went online to give a review (a good one) with my receipt because I wanted to make note of something and I couldn't. Now I'm here updating my review and wanted to make note of that. I kinda didn't like that 1 or 2 hairdressers there seem to smoke a lot and when they cut your hair... Their hands smell a lot. I do not smoke and the smell is not pleasant to me. I tried to ignore it a few times but like I said before... I am a regular now. I don't mind if they smoke on their breaks or such but when you are getting a haircut and they have their hands around your face... It gets you. I'm sure they can do something about this. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE and INCONSIDERATE. I have had my hair cut at Sport clips (other locations) several times and this was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I went for a hair cut more than 30 minutes before the closing time. However, I was refused service stating they are full and cannot do anything more until closing. The entire place was empty with no one in sight waiting for a hair cut. Interestingly enough, they do not take appointments and is walk-in only. I drove 20 minutes to get there and they have no regard for customer's time. They just lost business from me and my friends. read more

Earlier tonight, I drove 20 mins to the Sport Clips in Waterloo on Northfield. We arrived at 7:00pm, 1 hour before closing, and were abruptly told (before we could even say anything) that they were no longer taking bookings because there were only 2 staff working (we saw 2 other people sitting watching TV, not sure if they were waiting for cuts). I, just as abruptly, turned around to walk out with my son and we were offered $5 off coupons. Well, for a company whose website states: No appointment ever, walk-ins are welcome - Just come in any time. You're always welcome for a mini Man Break. we sure didn't feel welcome, and quite frankly a $5 coupon to make up for my 40+ minutes of wasted driving time isn't worth it. If my only available time for haircuts is weekdays after dinner, why would I take another chance at wasting my time and being rejected when I could just as easily make an appointment with another barber who knows how to use clippers and be assured that I'll get my hair cut when it's convenient for me, not only when it's convenient for the barber shop. read more

Long wait although it didn't look busy. Seemed like the staff took their time between clients. The hairdresser assigned to me was very careless and didn't pay attention and managed to run the clipper through my eyebrow and one side of my hair (which I noticed after I got home). She was very disengaged during the MVP upgrade, especially the massage section, where she carelessly moved around the massager through my back. I had hair clippings all over my shirt and pants... very uncomfortable.. So much for finding employees off Kijiji!!! Will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My 12 year old son has had his last 2 hair cuts with Jenna at the Boardwalk and she did an AMAZING job!!! She's a lot of fun too. Makes him laugh every time. My son used to HATE getting his haircut. Now he can't wait. read more

I am writing this review because my family just had the worst experience at this location. I had brought my 1 year old son in a previous time for his first haircut and the older lady there did an excellent job and my son was very calm and enjoyed the experience. I told them what a great job they did and that I would be back for future cuts. I convinced my husband to switch to this barber shop because of the great experience we had. I brought my son and husband in today at about 1pm to get both of them a cut. The 2 employees that were there were not pleased to be cutting a 1 year old and actually talked about who had to do it. The Asian women (I don't know her name) was cutting my sons hair but was not pleased to be doing it. She made us very uncomfortable and did not try to help keep my son calm. She got very upset when he would move his head and told me to hold on to his head with my arms. At one point she stepped back, visibly upset and started speaking in another language. I asked her to leave the top of his hair long so it can be styled but yet she cut all his hair very short even after I reiterated that I wanted it long. She wouldn't try to talk to him or to me to make us comfortable. She would just step back and not do anything. Finally I was so upset that I just stood up and said that's enough and walked out to leave my husband to pay for us. I can't believe the terrible customer service that i received. I will NEVER go back again and neither will my husband. If I could figure out who the owner is then I would be contacting them but unfortunately I could not find that information. Think again before bringing your family there. Sport clips just lost an entire family of customers because of those employees. read more
