I came to this location for physical therapy for my frozen shoulder, and the staff here are the reason I stayed committed and completed my treatment. The therapy providers--Vanya, and Cole--are incredibly motivating. Their positive energy creates a relaxed environment, which makes the entire treatment process feel much more manageable. Vanya was my primary therapist, and her care was both thoughtful and consistent. I am a runner who is over 65 and I began experiencing piercing pain in my lower back and my glutes. I went to urgent care center and they diagnosed me with psyatica. I went to sports and ortho and Dalia did a number of tests on me, and to my surprise found that I had no back problem. She pointed out that I had limited mobility and placed me on a program that within 1 month was not only back running, but no longer had pain from sitting or lying down. It seemed to good to be true. My experience at the Glenview Sports and Ortho was nothing short of amazing after a total hip replacement, then 10 months later, going through a total knee replacement and having Dahlia and her team of superstars work my body back to everyday life and back on the golf course in record time according to my surgeon. Sara, Rachel and Andrew are tough knowledgeable, and dam good at their job, and I can't thank them enough for their quality care and for pushing me on my road to recovery. These folks are great! I have had both knees replaced in the past year, and the therapists and assistants have done miracles in making me mobile again. In addition to strength and balance building, they focus on muscle , tendon, tissue and skin healing -- both at the knees and at adjacent joints affected by and affecting knee function. To put it short and simply Dahlia helped me get my life back. There isn't a single person (unless Dahlia recommends them) that I will see again for my sports injuries. I have nothing but great things to say about the team and Sports and Ortho. I can speak from both first and second hand experience. We are a family of 5 and all of us have been to Sports and Ortho for a variety of injuries. My kids have all had great care and recovered quite well from their injuries thanks to the staff. I had a fairly bad fall that resulted in some pretty serious injuries that required a lot of rest and healing before I could even start PT. When I did start I was in bad shape from the injury itself as well as the atrophy that came from laying around for 2 months. I must say they did wonders for me that included manual work like massage and stretching as well as the actual strength building and recovery. After about 3-4 months of 3X weekly PT I was finally back to my old self. I'm grateful to the team at Sports and Ortho for taking such great care of me. Why? Why would you go anywhere else? In my lifetime, I have needed PT for various reasons. This place gives you so much individualized attention and caters to YOUR needs as to what ever your problem is. I know exactly what is expected of me and what I will be doing for the time there. The PT's take the time before you come there and write out an exercise plan for you for when you get there and make sure you have a variety that hones in on your needs. They also do manipulation of whatever body part that needs to be worked on-Not only hand manipulation by the PT, but manipulation techniques such as cupping, dry needling, ultrasound, etc. The techs make sure you are doing the exercise properly so you don't hurt yourself. As someone who has had chronic back pain for many years I almost gave up on PT until i discovered Dahlia and her team at Sports Ortho. They are wonderful!!! For the first time I felt like someone was trying to understand the full dynamics of my body mOvement and how I got to where I currently was. They use a lot of manual therapy which gave me so much release. I learned a ton about how to care for my situation. And they treated me knowing I would still continue an active lifestyle. That I appreciated. My daughter also saw the team here (9 years old) and she loved the engaging activities and treatments. Which is hard to accomplish with a young child. The team is smart, dedicated, kind, solution based and looKs at the whole picture which makes a world of difference. I highly recommend trying them out. Love this place! I worked with Michele G. and she helped me get back to playing volleyball after being out for a year due to a shoulder injury. She's amazing and very knowledgeable! She explained to me how my injury impacts my ability to serve and swing at a volleyball and how the exercises we have been doing, along with dry needling, will help me to recover. I cannot say enough about how the dry needling has been a game changer for my recovery and SO FEW PTs have the special certification for it. Michele fixed me up just in time for my tournament and I was excited to share with her our victory win! I truly am amazed at how quick I was able to recover. I received treatment from Dahlia for post-surgical pain in my arms, shoulders, and chest. I really appreciated the amount of time that she spent with me during each visit. I've received PT at other facilities where the main therapist only spent 15-20 minutes with me before passing me off to an assistant, but Dahlia usually worked with me for about 45 minutes per session. She also tried a wide variety of techniques to determine which would be most effective. She truly cares about her patients. I cannot say enough about this wonderful physical therapy center for everybody's aches and pains, post surgical procedures, etc. I was recommended to try physical therapy for my aching neck caused by a cervical fusion several years ago. I had been to several other Physical Therapy centers and not one was able to help me the way Sports & Ortho has done. Not only do they zoom in and concentrate on your problem area, but everybody participates in almost all of the same exercises after the therapy that helps stretch and tone your body and strengthen your core. My incredible, fabulous therapist was Michelle G. And I cannot say enough about her. She's empathetic, she's knowledgeable, she's sweet and friendly and very professional. I looked so forward to going to Sports & Ortho twice a week that when it was time to be released I was so sad I did not want to leave. It's such a warm and friendly place. I came here to resolve my back pain after a referral from my sports medicine doctor. I've been to many PT practices - this is the BEST practice I've been to. Sarah, my PT, was very thorough. She found the root cause of my pain (the first PT to figure it out!!) and had a very diverse and comprehensive therapy approach. I have given up in PT many times into the past - it's a huge time commitment and never found it to be very effective. But this time, I stuck with it since I found improvements everytime I went. The owner understood this and worked with me to make sure that I had appointment times when they were fewer people in the facility. I had a painful strained Achilles which limited my range of motion. Sports and Ortho, along with being great company, were great PTs. With 45 minutes of exercise and a 45 minute one on one I got stretched, dry needled and cupped.
