This fly-by-night card store sold me products on their website that were paid in full. I drove over 100 miles (gas, time, and wear on my vehicle) to pick up my order in person on Monday only to find an illegibly scribbled note taped to the door saying they were closed. I emailed and called. Was told in an email reply later that day that they were short staffed, but how was I to know? Their website clearly states open until 3 on Mondays. I also had noted in the 'comments' section of my online order that I'd pick up my order on Monday. I reluctantly rescheduled to make the trek again on Thursday. Tuesday passed. Then shortly after noon on Wednesday I received and email saying they were unable to fulfill half of my bought and paid for order. I immediately canceled the remaining items. Currently awaiting full refund. Trust broken. Flaky business practices noted. Lack of responsibility and accountability to customers. Website/inventory control nonexistent. Shame. What a total waste of a potential customer's goodwill, time and money. Dude probably sold my bought and paid for items to his pals for more money. Why even post rare items online if you cannot honor the sale? Typical slacker run business. Avoid Northern Realms, it's just a headache! read more

I tried to go there twice within the listed store hours and both times they were closed.

I'm visiting from out of town and decided to stop by and check out the shop. The staff is very friendly and I had a great conversation with the owner. They have a ton of sports cards, Pokémon, and magic! I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area! read more

I am not the biggest fan of sports cards so not really my cup of tea. Looked at their selection of pokemon and yugioh cards but the price is not worth it especially since nu games is right next door. Its a cute little shop but for me, I dont think I will visit the shop after this first time. I do however recommend it to sport cards collectors to check it out just to see what it looks like. read more

This place had some OK stuff, but the staff (owner) is rude and the prices are crazy high. I was inspired to write this review and share a recent experience when I saw this business mentioned in another Yelp review. I got chewed-out by the owner a couple months ago for parking in one of "his customers'" spaces. Well, Broese's Uniforms used to be next door, and that spot is now empty. I parked in a spot labelled for Broese's customers, and the owner of Sports Cards and More claimed he was going to have my truck towed away because I went into Myrtlewood Liquors but didn't park in one of the spots labelled for Myrtlewood customers. There are 2-3 spots marked specifically for Sports Cards and More customers, and I wasn't parked in one of those, but I guess the owner assumed that the Broese's spots were now his because he is located between the old Broese's spot and Myrtlewood liquors. Either way, I laughed at his petty complaint and left, since I was done shopping at Myrtlewood. I wont be going into Sports Cards and More anymore as a result. The owner has always been a bit rude anyway- he's one of those know-it-all types that rolls his eyes at you if you ask a question about his merch that he thinks you should already know the answer to. This coming from a guy that posted a sign in his window that says that something like 30+% of Humboldt County is illiterate... which is absolutely ridiculous, even if he's counting the blind and people too young to read. read more

Only place in Humboldt to buy sports cards. Once I found this place I stopped going to Target, which is much more expensive for cards. Bill is a super nice guy, and has a lot of unique items in the shop. Last weekend, I went rummaging around in the pack and found a 36 pack box of hockey cards for $10. Although his hockey selection was limited, I highly recommend to any card collector. read more

This place is awesome. He DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS, CASH ONLY!! This keeps his prices low, his packs are the cheapest anywhere locally. Hes a cool guy and will chat it up with you while you browse, and has impeccable music tastes. You can find old stuff, new stuff, and if you frequent it you can sell your stuff there, provided you recycle the money back in to the shop. Bill's shop is a great place for Magic/Pokemon/Yugioh cards. He has all the current sets as well as a great selection of older sets. He also has a great collection of individual cards for sale at the shop. Bill also has a ton of sports cards. Highly recommended. The only downside is his shop is cash only. read more

I haggled with the owner to get some really good items that he forgot he had. He sin't the nicest person in the world but he can work with you on prices. Place is cramped with retro stuff and random card items. It's a place worth checking out though since its so hidden away in Eureka's neighborhood. read more

Bill, the owner, is the nicest guy in town, no joke. If you're respectful and courteous, he really takes care of you. He doesn't put up with nonsense, though, So shoplifters and egomaniacs beware. His prices are not only very reasonable, but he lets you sell cards at his site at whatever price you want for store credit. You get it when your card sells. Great place for magic and sports cards, and if he doesn't have what you need, he'll order it or tell you where you can get it. Most stand up business I frequent. read more

I've been shopping with Bill since the late 90's when he used to run a stand in the local flea market. I highly recommend taking a look. He's got the best selection around of old and new Sealed Magic product, Yugioh, Pokemon, Sports cards, and other weird fringe CCGs including some old Star Trek Voyager Boosters and other stuff of that Ilk. He also has protective equipment (Sleeves, binder pages, hard sleeves, etc.) galore. He even allows the public to sell singles directly for store credit at whatever price they want through his store! So at any given time he could have literally anything in stock. He has very reasonable prices, but be sure to bring cash as he doesn't take credit cards. read more
