I have visited the Murrysville Center for Massage Therapy many times over the past several years…read more They moved to this location maybe in 2005/2006 or so, and I probably started visiting them right about that time. When I lived in the area I used to be a bit more of a frequent client, however since moving out of state, I usually only am now able to visit at the holidays and maybe in the summer. This is a great place for a massage. Within here, I tend to bounce around to different masseuses, and have been very satisfied with them all. They have been friendly, professional, and listened and then focused on the areas of my concern. I tend to like a lot of pressure during massages and have found that they are more than able to provide that for the duration of my appointment. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing with soft music or nature sounds playing in the background (like most places might have). I always head out of the room lighter and am greeted in the reception area with a glass of water by my masseuse providing me with 'after care' instructions like drinking fluids and resting, and once even some additional self-massage tips when I had a chronic back issue. Prices run pretty average for massages here. This is truly a studio focused on healing and wellness, and I am always happy to visit when back in town. As a fun note, they usually offer a small (but welcome) discount on gift certificates purchased in December which makes for a great holiday gift!

He works on the areas I request, and spends extra time on areas he feels I need. The atmosphere in the massage room is perfect. The music can become a bit annoying at times, but, otherwise, it's tranquil, with the perfect amount of lighting. As for the massage price, seriously can't be beat. I was charged $65 for a 1 hour full body massage today. Did they charge me wrong, or something? Typically, you're looking at $75 to $100 for a deep tissue, hour-long massage. And, when I've paid that in the past, the quality has been no where near what I get from John. Again, he does deep tissue with me, but I'm sure there are a ton of different people on staff, with different tecniques and specialties you can request. I would, and will, suggest this to. Any of my friends looking for some relax and unwind time.

You get a true sense of the fact it was designed to be a place for community and connection. All of my visits were to the salt cave. It is a great little oasis. You remove your shoes and enter a darkened room with a coarse salt floor (think beach but with large granules of sand. There are several reclining chairs, blankets and relaxing music. A huge plus is that the chairs are wide and comfortable even for me as a plus size person (which is sadly not the case in many spas and healing centers). It is amazing how quick the time flies when in there. My most recent visit was after spending time outdoors during a bad flare up of the Canadian wildfires. I almost felt like I had grit in my lungs and was frequently using my inhaler. I won't say the salt caved was a miracle cure, but I did leave feeling some relief from the discomfort and breathing a little easier. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience and a different way to experience some relaxation and healing. Definitely check it out!

I visited most recently with a neck injury. Sean worked with me from start to finish to help relieve tension and pain and to improve my range of motion. He worked on my alignment and gave me exercises to strengthen my muscles. I could see results with each visit. The passion they have for their client's well being is evident from the first encounter. It's reassuring to know that the people working with you truly care. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have trigger points and very tense muscles in my upper back and shoulders. Though I generally enjoy a more therapeutic massage using deep tissue and myofascial release techniques, this was the most relaxing massage I've ever had - to where I actually fell asleep. Cici was very receptive to my requests for more pressure where it was needed. I do, in retrospect, wish she'd placed a bit more focus on my trigger points, but that was my fault for not specifying. Again, she is very receptive and easy to talk to - I'm sure that if I'd asked, she would have elbowed tf out of my stubborn knots. The building is small, right next to the nail salon in the Unity Shopping Center - small but clean. The room was lit dimly and relaxing instrumental music played. Cici used unscented oil, and then used a hot towel to remove it so my shirt would not be stained. I was provided with a bottle of water at the end of the session, and left feeling like I had some blood flow in my shoulder blades again. For a massage that's not specifically marketed towards pain relief, I'd give it a 6/10 for relieving pain. For relaxing and winding down, I'd give an 11/10. TLDR: if you need to relax a bit, this is the place. If you have mild or moderate muscle tension and pain, this is the place. If your back is a minefield, you'll get relief but perhaps not as much as a chiropractor with a massage gun.

I have visited, or attempted to visit, several others and either left with little or no relief. In the past, every chiropractor I had seen seemed more interested in doing as little as possible to ensure you would book another appointment to get more. For these reasons I pretty much thought they were all the same and as a whole Chiropractors are a joke. With a chronic shoulder pain ensuing from years of strain, I decided it was time to try again and visit a chiropractor. My first stop was Groupon. Grrrr, mistake #1. After a really, really, bad experience with another office, offering their services through Groupon, I was feeling pretty upset and desperate. I remembered one of my co-workers mentioning how he would see his chiropractor over lunch sometimes and thought, well at least it's someone local, let me ask if he would recommend them. A short conversation later, followed by a glowing recommendation, I called the office to make my first appointment. Dr. Greeley has really changed my initial opinion on this practice. Finally, a chiropractor that actually does what you would think they should! She does a great job listening to the issues and even throws in a 5-7 minute massage from one of the licensed massage therapists to help work out my trouble areas. I highly recommend her services. Only con is her hours are very limited. They are only open 3 days a week, and only two days past 2 pm. It is lucky for me that her office is across the street from mine so I am able to overcome this obstacle.
